The policy was written from the ground up as a stand-alone recreational boat rental insurance policy covering the period of time that the boat is being rented and is available for all non-commercially insured boats.

Does Boatsetter screen renters?

Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

The cost of your Miami yacht charter will very on the size of the boat, length of the trip, and other factors. If you are looking for a cheap yacht rental in Miami, our cheapest boat rental in Miami is our 29ft Sea Ray which costs $1,500 for 4 hours.

Most of our yachts depart from Miami Beach Marina in South Beach. We have other yachts that depart from different marinas in south beach. We also have some options that leave from downtown Miami.

Yes, you must bring the card that you used to pay for the yacht rental and you must bring a photo ID that matches the credit card used to book the yacht rental. The photo ID must also clearly match the individual presenting the ID and credit card.

Miami Blue Yacht Rental does not allow for cancellations under any circumstances within 30 days of the departure of your trip. Cancellations made between 90 days and 30 days of your trip’s departure are subject to a 50% refund of the total cost of your charter. Cancellations made prior to 90 days of your trip departure will receive a full refund.

The cancellation policy above applies only to day trips. Any overnight charters will follow a separate cancellation policy that will be outlined in the charter contract between Miami Blue Yacht Rental and the client.

Miami Blue Yacht Rental will cancel charters if there is inclement weather preventing us from conducting the trip. In the event of inclement weather, we will issue a credit that is valid for 3 years after the initial charter departure date. That credit can be used towards a future charter with Miami Blue Yacht Rental.

Miami Blue Yacht Rental reserves the right to determine whether or not the weather permits us from conducting the charter.

For almost all of our Miami yachts we can only take a maximum of 12 guests due to United States Coast Guard regulations. Even if the boat you rented is over 100ft, it can only take a maximum of 12 passengers. The only Miami charter yachts that can take more than 12 passengers are event or party yachts with special certifications.

To rent a yacht with Miami Blue, the individual making payment and signing the charter contract must be at least 18 years of age. Customers are required to submit full payment up front to reserve a yacht or boat. If the departure date is more than 90 days away, customers are allowed to rent a boat or yacht with a 50% deposit. The remaining balance will be charged 90 days before the trip departs.

On the day of the charter, the individual who made the payment and signed the contract is required to be on board the vessel. That individual must arrive at the vessel with the credit card they used to book the boat or yacht, and they must arrive with a photo ID that matches the name on the credit card used to book the charter.

Yes, you can bring whatever food, drinks, or alcohol you’d like. We just ask that you don’t bring red wine because it stains the boats. You can also arrange to have your charter catered. We will connect you with one of our preferred partners who will handle all of the catering. In most cases, you can have the catering delivered to the yacht prior to your trip. That way everything is setup and ready to go when you arrive.

Yes. You are free to switch to a different yacht or boat if you give us at least 48 hours’ notice and the alternative yacht or boat is available on the date requested. If there is an additional cost of the new yacht, you would simply need to pay the additional balance for the upgraded vessel.

Yes, you can have your yacht rental catered. We can connect you with local caterers who can deliver food to the boat prior to the charter. You are also free to arrange food with your own caterer and bring it with you on the charter.

Smoking rules vary depending on which Miami yacht you book. Most of our yachts allow for vaping and electronic cigarettes on any part of the yacht that is not enclosed. Some of our yachts allow for smoking but only in specific areas on the yacht. Usually somewhere off the back of the yacht so that the smoke and ash does not get on the yacht.

The number of bedrooms on your Miami yacht tour will depend on the type and size of the yacht you book. All of our Miami yacht charter listings have information on the number of beds and the number of staterooms for each yacht. If you have any questions about the number of bedrooms on your Miami Yacht rental, feel free to call our office at 954-299-5455.

What’s included on your Miami yacht tour will depend on which yacht you book. Each of our yacht your listings state the water toys and floats that are included. If you are looking to add additional water toys to your Miami yacht rental feel to call one of our agents and see what additional water toys we have available.

• Balloons are not allowed on board on of our yacht or boat rentals. Balloons can cause issues and make it difficult for the crew to navigate. Additionally, if the balloons pop and fall into the water they are terrible for the environment. • Self-tanning oils and bronzers are not allowed onboard. The cause stains on the yacht’s upholstery that are very difficult to remove. • Please avoid wearing denim or jean clothing as the dyes from these clothes can stain the upholstery when they get wet. • Please do not wear any temporary hair dye or wigs. The ink seeps out due to the moisture and the humidity and can cause bad stains. • Please avoid bringing wed wine or other similar drinks. If they spill they can cause stains that are extremely difficult to clean and remove. • No Hookah, shisha, or other items that have an open flame such as BBQ equipment, gas, propane, coals, etc. • We do not allow glitter or confetti on our yacht charters. • No pets are allowed on board our yachts. • Any damage that is caused to the yacht upholstery, flooring, or other surfaces caused by beverages, smoking, or dye from wet clothing will incur additional charges for the repair and damages to be fixed.

Our captains and crew know all of the best spots to go and all of the best sights to see out on the water. Some of the best things to do and see are: • Star Island celebrity home tour • Downtown Miami skyline • Monument Island • Miami river cruise • Marine stadium • Nixon Sandbar • Stiltsville (minimum 6 hour charter)

We ask our customers not to wear shoes on our yachts to help keep the yacht clean and to help maintain the condition of the yacht. If you wear shoes on your yacht rental in Miami, it can bring dirt onto the yacht or damage the deck of the boat. In order to have a clean boat for the duration of your Miami yacht charter, we ask our guests to remove their shoes.

Cloudy skies or a slight chance of rain are not grounds for cancellation or rescheduling. If a cancellation or rescheduling due to bad weather is necessary, either the Renter or the Boat Owner must send an email to  [email protected]  stating the reason. Aimco scores $172M construction loan, $56M in equity for Edgewater apartment tower

Project will rise near the Hamilton rental building, which the firm renovated and leased up last year

Aimco scored a $228 million financing package to develop a 114-unit apartment tower in Miami’s Edgewater, as construction loans keep flowing in South Florida. 

The Denver-based real estate investment trust landed a $172 million senior construction loan from Apollo Global Management, and $56 million in preferred equity from partner Sixth Street, according to news releases from Aimco and Sixth Street. New York-based Apollo is led by CEO Marc Rowan, and San Francisco-based Sixth Street is led by CEO Alan Waxman. Marcos Alvarado leads U.S. Real Estate for Sixth Street. 

The 38-story project will rise on a 1.1-acre development site at 560-640 Northeast 34th Street in Miami. That’s immediately south of Aimco’s 28-story, 276-unit Hamilton rental tower at 555 Northeast 34th Street. 

The planned tower will include about 7,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and apartments will average 2,500 square feet, the release says. It was formerly called Hamilton House, though Aimco hasn’t yet picked a new name, the firm said through a spokesperson. 

Aimco has been working on the project for at least two years, facing hurdles along the way. 

After first submitting an application for a 60-story, 241-unit tower in 2022, the Miami Urban Development Review Board voted against the proposal later that year, with one board member citing “major issues” with the design. Last year, the condominium associations for nearby Bay Park Towers and Charter Club took issue with the project and filed letters asking the city to scrap eight waivers it had granted the tower. The waivers would have allowed Aimco to max out the project size, leading to “profoundly negative” effects on nearby residential condos, an attorney for the Charter Club wrote in a letter to the city. 

Aimco’s latest plan shows the firm tweaked the project size down to 38 stories and 114 units. 

“The project was sized to deliver a boutique luxury experience for residents,” Aimco said in an email.

Led by CEO Wes Powell, Aimco has made hefty investments in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. 

It’s seeking to cash out of some of its holdings. This year, Aimco listed its 32-story Brickell Bay Office Tower at 1001 Brickell Bay Drive, and adjacent 31-story, 357-unit Yacht Club Apartments at 1111 Brickell Bay Drive in Miami’s Brickell for $650 million . The 4.3-acre site offers redevelopment potential of more than 3.1 million square feet across several supertalls with condos, hotel keys, offices, retail or a combination of these.

Aimco also is listing the Hamilton apartment tower for an undisclosed price. It paid $89.6 million for the building in 2020, completing renovations and leasing it up last year. 

The Hamilton has an annual net operating income of $10 million and a $101 million debt balance, according to Aimco’s investor presentation filed this month. The Yacht Club has an $11 million annual NOI and an $80 million debt balance, and Brickell Bay Office Tower has an $8 million NOI and an $81 million debt balance. 

For its other planned developments, Aimco plans a 204-unit project at 510-532 Northeast 34th Street, and is joint venturing with a partner on a 650-unit apartment project at 3333 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami’s Edgewater, according to the firm’s February filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission. 

In Fort Lauderdale, Aimco and Kushner Companies are partnering on a 900-plus-unit residential project at 300 Broward Boulevard. In Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village neighborhood, Aimco plans a three-phase project across nearly 9 acres with over 1,000 apartments, additional hotel keys and commercial space. 

South Florida apartment and condo construction lending has continued, despite elevated interest rates and economic headwinds. 

This month, the Pérez family’s Related Group and Integra Investments landed a $527 million loan to build the 50-story, 152-unit St. Regis Residences, Miami, condo at 1809 Brickell Avenue in Miami. Last month, 13th Floor Investments scored an $83 million construction loan for the five-story, 398-unit Parks at Hallandale garden-style apartment complex at 2002 Pembroke Road in Hallandale Beach.
