Ferretti Yachts 650 is the first in a series of models that are bound to set a new functional and technical standard for the “Yachts” product line below 70 feet in length. Developed thanks to the cooperation between the Product Strategy Committee, Ferretti Group’s Marketing Department, AYT&D - Advanced Yachts Technology & Design, and Studio Zuccon International Project, the project draws inspiration from the Ferretti 620. The Ferretti Yacht 650 immediately strikes the eye for its extensively renovated profile. Its outer silhouette is characterised by an aerodynamic flybridge and new fibreglass decorative elements that “cut” through the profile of the glazing in the superstructure. An unprecedented decoration connects the windows of the three cabins below deck. The slender lines are further enhanced by the yacht’s aft area, specifically designed to ensure easy and safe storage and launch of the tender while increasing the guests' onboard comfort. A tender lift has been developed, capable of lifting an over-3-metre-long tender that can be lowered into the water by a metre with respect to its original position, thereby allowing the vessel to be davit-free: a valuable attribute which provides an incredible amount of additional living space. As is the case on all models in the range, on this 65-footer the shipyard is proposing alternative layouts both on the sundeck – which also comes in the hard-top version – and inside the boat. Ferretti has designed a “TaiHe Dian” edition of the 650, devoted in particular to owners from select markets in the Asia-Pacific. This special edition features areas on board which are exclusively dedicated towards entertainment and business related functions The main deck is a true open space forward until the windshield, functional and extensively renovated in terms of furnishings and décor. The galley is completely open: this solution allows to fully exploit this room as a large bar area opening onto the stern and towards the dining and living areas, further contributing to a sense of volume and making living onboard even more enjoyable. The underdeck layout includes three double cabins and three separate heads. In the “TaiHe Dian” edition, the main difference is that the galley is on the lower deck replacing the starboard guest cabin, and on the upper deck there is a large dinette. The central part of the salon as well as the two main cabins and third head have remained unchanged. With Ferretti Yachts 650, the brand goes back to installing engines produced by Caterpillar. The boat is equipped with a pair of CAT C18: in the standard engine configuration - a pair of 1015 mhp C18 engines – the FY650 can indeed reach a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 30 knots. The optional engines (1150 mhp), in turn, can push the yacht to a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 33 knots. The range is 275 and 245 nautical miles, respectively, at maximum speed, and 310 and 290 nautical miles, respectively, at cruising speed (preliminary data).

The Ferretti Yacht 650 immediately strikes the eye for its extensively renovated profile, which makes of it a truly distinctive model. An unprecedented decoration connects the windows of the three cabins below deck (the master stateroom, the guest cabin, and the VIP cabin), which have been widened to let through even more natural light. The pilot station dashboard has also been restyled, resulting in an even more sophisticated and elegant look. The slender lines of the Ferretti Yachts 650 (which is 19.67 metres/64 feet 6 in. long and has a beam of 5.25 metres/17 feet 3 in.) are further enhanced by the yacht’s aft area, specifically designed to ensure easy and safe storage and launch of the tender while increasing the guests’ onboard comfort. A tender lift has been developed, capable of lifting an over-3-metre-long tender that can be lowered into the water by a metre with respect to its original position, thereby allowing the vessel to be davit-free: a valuable attribute which provides an incredible amount of additional living space on the flybridge and a large aft storage compartment for smaller water toys and other equipment.

The main deck is open and bright, thanks to the silver oak accents and glazing that predominate throughout the vessel. Large vertical windows allow in impressive amounts of natural light. A fixed dinette surrounded by C-shaped seating comfortably accommodates 8 people, while the upper saloon features further seating thanks to a U-shaped leather sofa to port. The aft galley is impressive, larger than most yachts in its class, with a large, hinged window for cockpit access, opening up the space for al fresco dining. A notable feature on this yacht is the tender lift that can accommodate tenders over 9 feet and can be lowered over 3 feet into the water.

The flybridge is streamlined and sophisticated, unique amongst a sea of other top-heavy models, while radar and satellite systems have been installed aft, bolstered by a new aerodynamic support bracket. A large bar area is located behind the second pilot station, and boasts a grill and a sink. A large sunbathing area can be found on the wheelhouse.

Owner and guests alike will enjoy privacy aboard the 3 spacious staterooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom. The full-beam owner’s cabin, located amidships and down three gentle stairs, is a joy to behold, with a long, starboard-side chaise nestled against the sleek angles of the cutaway window; an elegant and generous portside vanity provides plenty of room to prepare yourself for convivial brunches or sophisticated dinners.

Outside the owner’s cabin and in the lobby is an optional washing machine and tumble drier, as well as a standard one in the crew cabin accessible from the cockpit. A further guest cabin with twin beds and separate head (which can double as a day head) is down the hall to the right. The double VIP cabin at the bow is also impressive, with large windows, twin hanging lockers and a separate shower in the ensuite bathroom.

The helm station has a pop-up fiberglass dashboard to safeguard the electronics system when not in use, while a sleek Lucite lid protects toggle switches and the VHF headset. The 650 is equipped with two standard CAT C18 1015mhp engines with top speeds of 30.5 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots – providing a reliable and responsible cruising experience.

Price Drop on Ferretti Yachts 650

FGI Yacht Group says the owner of the Ferretti 650 Silver Lining has dropped the asking price for the yacht. The new asking price is $1.9 million.

Silver Lining is a 2018 build that accommodates six guests in three staterooms, with additional quarters for two crew. The yacht was built to U.S. specifications and includes a Seakeeper 9 gyrostabilizer for guest comfort on board.

Beam is 17 feet, 2 inches, while draft is 4 feet, 11 inches.

According to the brokerage house, the yacht’s twin 1,150-horsepower Caterpillar C-18 engines allow for a cruising speed of 27 knots and a top-end speed of 30 knots. Those engines are under an extended warranty until Oct. 21, 2024.

Where is Silver Lining available for viewing? The yacht is lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
