Midway through a year of blockbuster superhero movies, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment have turned the spotlight toward some of the youngest members of the DC Comics universe: the Teen Titans.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies follows the rag-tag group of sidekicks as they aspire for superhero stardom. The film brings the characters from Cartoon Network's Teen Titans Go! to the big screen for the first time since the show's start in 2013.

Writers Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic have packed the comical script with nods to live-action superhero films, poking fun at box-office bombs like 2011's The Green Lantern and the upcoming Aquaman , among others.

The show's original voice actors are joined in the movie by Will Arnett, Kristen Bell, Nicolas Cage and Jimmy Kimmel as the Teen Titans attempt to defeat longtime nemesis Slade (Arnett) on the big screen, following in the superhuman footsteps of their peers.

Nicolas Cage was slated to play Superman in Superman Lives , but the project was canceled before he could don the red cape. Twenty years later, the actor gets the chance to voice the beloved superhero for this animated film. 

Jimmy Kimmel as Batman

Jimmy Kimmel tweeted about his role in May, but not without taking a shot at co-star Will Arnett, who voiced Batman in The Lego Batman Movie . "Dear @ArnettWill, there's a new #Batman in town (me)," the comedian and television host wrote, "and you are what the kids call OLD NEWS."

Halsey as Wonder Woman

Pop singer Halsey makes her big-screen debut as the voice of Wonder Woman. The "Closer" singer released her second studio album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom , in 2017. 

Lil Yachty as Green Lantern

Rapper Lil Yachty voices Green Lantern in the pic. The phosphorescent superhero was previously played by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 live-action film, but, as Yachty says in the trailer, "We don't talk about that." 

Khary Payton as Cyborg

Khary Payton reprises his role as the cannon-blasting humanoid, which he voices on the television series. When not voicing Cyborg, the actor plays Ezekiel on AMC's The Walking Dead .

Greg Cipes as Beast Boy

Greg Cipes, who voiced the feisty, shape-shifting superhero on the animated series, returns to the role for the big screen. Cipes also voiced Michaelangelo for Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . 

Tara Strong as Raven

The half-human, half-demon sorceress is once again voiced by Tara Strong. Raven, another member of the Teen Titans, is known for her dry manner and telekinetic abilities. 

Hynden Walch as Starfire

The alien princess helps her Teen Titan team throughout their film adventures with her laser-beam vision and superhuman strength. Hynden Walch voices the role of Starfire on the TV series as well.

Miles Parks McCollum , more commonly known as Lil Yachty or sometimes Lil Boat, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He appeared as a guest star voicing Green Lantern in Teen Titans Go! To the Movies .

Miles Parks McCollum was born on August 23, 1997 in Mableton, Georgia. Growing up, Miles wanted to stand out and express himself. One of his ways of doing this was dying his hair red as a tribute to Ronald McDonald. In his teenage years, McCollum joined a rap group called the Yacht Club, and, being the youngest of the group, he adopted the name Lil Yachty.

After attending college for two months, Lil Yachty dropped out (he later remarked that the whole experience was "trash") and moved from Atlanta to New York. His goal was to perfect his bars and get in touch with producers. For the most part, the trip was a success, but he was far from reaching the top of the game.

SoundCloud, the career kick starter for virtually every modern-day rapper, gave Lil Yatchy a huge break when his 2015 song "One Night" began rolling in the views. His crazy music video for the song brought him even more prominence and fame. In March of 2016, his debut mixtape, Lil Boat was released, and in the following month, a collaboration with Does Real Ass Music on the song "Broccoli" brought Yachty to number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

From then on, Miles has sense released the Summer Songs 2 mixtape, the two albums Teenage Emotions and Lil Boat 2 , and has had numerous successful songs and colabs including "iSpy" with SuperDuperKyle, the Coloring Book mixtape with Chance the Rapper, "From the D to the A" with Tee Grizzley, "With My Team" beside Creek Boyz, and numerous others. He has signed off with 3 labels, Quality Control Music, Capitol Records, and Motown Records.

Teen Titans Go! [ ]

Lil Boat's success in rapping brought him a minor role as a voice actor in Teen Titans Go! to the Movies . He voices Green Lantern . It's unknown whether he'll return for any episodes in the TV show .

• The John Stewart Green Lantern has been in Teen Titans Go! before in the episode " Real Boy Adventures ", but he had a non-speaking role. If He appears again, he'll likely be a cameo, and so Lil Yachty prolly won't be needed.

Lil Yachty gives us multiple reasons to respect his grind

A few days following the successful release of his second studio album Lil Boat 2 , it was learned the self-proclaimed “King of the Teens” had been cast in Teen Titans Go! To the Movies —  the recreation of the popular Cartoon Network TV series “Teen Titans.” Yachty is the voice of Green Lantern in this highly anticipated animated film scheduled to hit theaters July 27, and it’s a dream come true.

Having already infiltrated the music industry with multiple hit songs that turned into viral dance challenges, as well as impressively taking on the fashion industry in 2017 when he was named  creative director for Nautica , it was only right that acting would be next on his bucket list.  “ It’s been something that I’ve been wanting to do for two years now, but this is the year that we are actually making it happen and trying to push the transition to cross over,” he says.

When Yachty isn’t serving as the voice of a popular superhero, he’s still using his real-life superpower of spreading happiness and positivity to the world through his creative endeavors. Yachty has deftly steered clear of being pigeonholed and created his own lane.

While Lil Yachty is steadily bringing all of his dreams to fruition and simultaneously living his best life, it doesn’t come without a price. The price of fame has cost him certain levels of respect and privacy — something he wishes he had the ability to change.

“People don’t really respect you, or they have respect for you but sometimes your fans — whether [it] be on accident or on purpose — they’ll lose respect for you as a human being and as a normal person. They treat you as if you are a different kind of human or life form when you are a celebrity — as if we don’t breathe the same air, or we don’t bleed the same, and I hate that. I really hate that,” he says.

The simple things in life that many take for granted are sacred things Yachty wishes his fans would take into consideration.

Aside from that one nuisance, Yachty continues to thrive in his newfound notoriety, and the world is reaping the benefits of his creativity through various entertainment and fashion platforms.  

With fame and dedication to your vision comes money — something that has changed Yachty’s life in every single way. When deciding to assist family and friends who may be in dire financial straits, Yachty responds on a case-by-case basis. “There’s no guideline book for that. It’s all about personal preferences,” he explains. “Depends on what type of person you are, what you believe in, what you stand for and how you feel.”

There were so many things we learned about the colorful Lil Yachty during our interview. For instance, he’s a fan of streetwear versus designer fashion, and he’d choose a mansion in the suburbs over a penthouse in the city. However, the tidbit that stood out from the rest was learning that the man also known as Lil Boat would choose a private jet over a yacht because he’s “not a big boat fan.” Talk about irony.

From his body of work as a successful music artist to his debut as a model for the Yeezy season 3 fashion show, and now an actor, Lil Yachty’s fortunes continue to rise.

Lil Yachty Will Voice Green Lantern in New ‘Teen Titans Go!’ Movie

From modeling to fashion design , to rapping to being a social media phenomenon, Lil Yachty 's done a little bit of everything during his time in the spotlight. Now, it looks like the rapper's adding "full-time superhero" to his list. Sort of.

On Monday (Feb. 12) USA Today reported that the Atlanta rapper, who recently delivered a pretty solid freestyle on Hot 97 , will be providing the voice of Green Lantern in a forthcoming Teen Titans Go! movie. Joining him in the film, titled  Teen Titans Go! to the Movies,  will be singer Halsey, who happens to be the girlfriend of G-Eazy. Sounds like it should be a pretty solid cast.

Teen Titans Go! is Cartoon Network's remodeled version of the show's original 2003 incarnation, Teen Titans . Both variations of the series follow the exploits of teen superheroes Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven and Cyborg as they deal with typical teenage spontaneity and the not-so-typical struggle to defeat the bad guys. Teen Titans Go! is more humor-focused, while the original version featured a more serious, action-oriented tone.

Wonder Woman and Green Lantern aren't typically involved in Teen Titans Go!  storylines, so it's safe to say Lil Boat will be taking on the adult incarnation of the famed, magical ring-wielding hero.

Lil Yachty will voice Green Lantern in the upcoming film version of Cartoon Network's Teen Titans GO! , USA Today reports. Halsey will join as the voice of Wonder Woman. The two are reportedly "the first of several celebrities" who will join the project.

"Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast," executive producer Sam Register told USA Today.

The 20-year-old has been cast to voice the role of Green Lantern in the upcoming  Teen Titans GO!  animated film, which releases on July 27.

USA Today broke the news Monday (March 12). The report states that singer-songwriter Halsey  is booked to portray Wonder Woman when the former Cartoon Network series makes its move to the big screen this summer. 

Both artists are adjusting well to their newfound roles. “Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast,” executive producer Sam Register revealed to  USA Today.

USA Today reports Yachty is being joined by Nicolas Cage as Superman and Halsey as Wonder Woman. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 27.

“Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast,” stated executive producer Sam Register.

The Teen Titans Go! television series began running on Cartoon Network in 2013. Kristen Bell, Will Arnett, James Corden, Khary Payton, Tara Strong, Scott Menville, Greg Cipes, and Hynden Walch are part of the movie version’s cast as well.

Halsey, Lil Yachty Tapped for “Teen Titans Go!” Movie

Cartoon Network ’s “Teen Titans” spin-off “Teen Titans Go!” is getting a feature length film. Teen Titans Go! to the Movies is set to feature animated versions of DC’s Justice League superheroes, with a couple of prominent musicians lending their voices to the characters. Halsey is voicing Wonder Woman, while Lil Yachty will provide the voice of Green Lantern, as USA Today reports. Elsewhere in the cast are Will Arnett and Kristin Bell. Check out a teaser trailer below. The new movie hits theaters July 27.

Teen Titans GO! To the Movies will be released on July 27th, here’s the full synopsis:

It seems to the Teens that all the major super heroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously Super-Villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!
