41m Inace explorer Lady Jade completes nine-month refit

The 41-metre explorer Lady Jade (ex. Fortrus and Catalonian Spirit ) has completed a nine-month refit at Lusben’s repair yard in Viareggio, Italy. 

Built by Inace Yachts in 2008, Lady Jade’s refit encompassed a complete repaint, a metalwork modification on the ceiling of the sundeck and the aft section of the hull and a new layout and décor for her Stefano Pastrovich interior. 

Refit work at Lusben included a structural modification to the aft section of the hull, where the quarter boards have been reduced in size to give the aft cockpit a more open feel. The ceiling on the flybridge was also extended in length by a metre, providing better shade in the outdoor bar and dining area. The update of the exterior decks follows on from a major six-metre extension completed at the Alia Yachts shipyard in May 2018.

Exterior work also included a repaint to return the hull from white to its original blue colour alongside the installation of underwater lights along its length for a “more distinctive personality.”

The full-beam owner’s cabin, located forward on the main deck, the four guest cabins and the VIP cabin on the lower deck have also undergone renovations. The refreshed, contemporary interiors feature black lacquer and dark wood panelling alongside all-new furnishings, creating an “elegant but cosy setting,” according to Lusben.

The announcement follows the completion of another major Lusben refit, the 52-metre, Benetti-built Solafide last month.

Lady Jade is an extension & refreshing exercise. It was realized a 6 meters hull extension for a new terrace on the sea, together with a new built-in bimini on the upper deck as an extension of the interior salon into the exterior terrace.

The inspiration for this refitting comes from the long woman night dresses , which begin their shape from the chest and flow all the way down over the shoes and sometimes longer over the floor.

The profile skyline from the bow rise up and flow gently down to the stern entering fluently into the sea. It is an architectonic feature which help people walking out from the interior spaces to the sea.

I like classic elegance which, if revised by an educated architect, can become contemporary while keeping that sense of stability and certitude, so much researched in life. Extending the stern of Lady Jade has been the opportunity to give this Lady my interpretation of timeless elegance . Stefano Pastrovich

The 6 meter extension creates a large main deck terrace able to accommodate various loose furniture for lounging and dining . Thanks to the 6 meters hull extension a large volume has been achieved in the deck below. Such space has been used to accommodate a sauna, a new laundry a wine cellar, toys, and extra technical space. The two original aft side exterior staircases have been replaced with a central wider staircase designed with deeper steps which, thanks to the new transformer built on the bathing platform, makes an easy and comfortable connection between the sea and the main deck terrace.

The Upper deck. The idea behind the upper salon and the exterior terrace has been to physically connect the two areas. We have replaced the aft door and windows with a full beam pantograph glass door which can be completely folded. The interior floor has been replaced with natural teak to feel the continuity between the interior lounge and the exterior terrace. The ceiling panels of the interior have been replaced with the same materials of the ceiling from the exterior to also increase the perception of inside-out. Finally the exterior terrace has been covered by a fixed bimini to not only give shadows but also protect the upper terrace from the rain.

LUSBEN COMPLETES THE REFIT OF LADY JADE, THE ELEGANT 41-METRE EXPLORER LAUNCHED IN BRAZIL IN 2008

The refit has been completed of the 41-metre Lady Jade, the Explorer motor yacht with a Swiss owner built by Brazilian yacht maker Inace Yachts in 2008. Lady Jade had a major 6-meter extension at the Alia Yachts in Antalya designed by Stefano Patrovich . The motor yacht now has a new look after a complete repaint, a metalwork modification on the ceiling of the sundeck and to the aft section of the hull to give it a sleeker and more contemporary style, and a new layout and decor for all the interiors designed by Stefano Pastrovich .

Since 1956, Lusben has been carrying out custom refit projects of peerless quality on super, motor and sailing yachts from all over the world and the yard recently completed the refit of M/Y Lady Jade. The yacht arrived at the shipyard in Viareggio in October 2022 for major maintenance and refitting work, including a complete repaint that returned the hull to its original blue colour.  

The interiors have also been given a complete makeover with meticulous attention to detail.  The changes to the layout span the entire Main and Lower Decks, as well as much of the Upper Deck, including the bridge. The refit involved new furnishings and decor for the full-beam owner’s suite located forward on the Main Deck, as well as for the four guest cabins and the VIP cabin on the Lower Deck, which have been refurbished with a significant upgrade to guest area comfort and now feature elegant but cosy settings in a style that points up a palette of dark colours and black lacquer.   

The work included a major structural modification to the aft section of the hull, where the quarter boards have been reduced in size to give the aft cockpit a more open feel. The ceiling on the Flybridge was also extended in length by a metre, adding to the shade in the outdoor bar/dining area. The exterior styling has also been given a more distinctive personality by installing underwater lights along the entire length of the boat’s hull.    

The refit of Lady Jade is yet another example of Lusben’s ability to embrace both the wishes of the owner and the designer’s ideas, at the same time as ensuring maximum quality thanks to the expertise of the yard’s workforce and the meticulous care lavished on every stage of the refitting process.

The 34m/111'7" expedition yacht 'Lady Jade' (ex. Catalonian Spirit) was built by Inace Yachts in Brazil at their Fortaleza shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Kirschstein Designs Ltd and she was delivered to her owner in September 2008. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Inace Yachts and she was last refitted in 2023.

Lady Jade has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Lady Jade is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-18) 715hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 12 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 43,896 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 18,480 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, ✠AMS, ✠ABCU classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

Lusben completes refit of Explorer superyacht Lady Jade

Refit specialist Lusben has completed work on the 41m (135ft) Explorer superyacht Lady Jade for its unnamed Swiss owner.

The refit included a 6m extension at Alia Yachts in Antalya designed by designed by Stefano Patrovich. The extension involved major structural modification to the aft section of the hull, where the quarter boards have been reduced in size to give the aft cockpit a more open feel.

The ceiling of the yacht’s flybridge has also been extended in length by 1m, offering more shade in the outdoor bar and dining area. The work, at the Viareggio shipyard, on Italy’s northwest coast,  also included repainting the hull and interior refurbishment. Painting the hull has returned Lady Jade to her original blue colour scheme

Changes to the layout, in addition to the flybridge, include the entire main and lower decks. The refit involved new furnishings and decor for the full-beam owner’s suite located forward on the main deck. The vessel’s four guest cabins and the VIP cabin on the lower deck were also refurbished using a palette of dark colours and black lacquer.

The installation of underwater lights along the full length of the boat’s hull is said to give the yacht a more distinctive personality.

According to Lusben : “The motor yacht now has a new look after a complete repaint, a metalwork modification on the ceiling of the sundeck and to the aft section of the hull to give it a sleeker and more contemporary style, and a new layout and decor for all the interiors designed by Stefano Pastrovich.” 

The vessel arrived at the Viareggio shipyard in October 2022. She was built in 2008 by Brazilian yacht maker Inace Yachts .
