Founded by marine industry expert Mark Elkington, The Yacht Sales Co is set to follow the enduring success of Multihull Solutions, which Elkington established in 2008 and has since become the region’s leading multihull sales specialist.

The Yacht Sales Co deals with the sales of quality new and pre-owned sail and power  yachts and is driven by a dedicated team of highly experienced sales professionals in centres across the company’s Asia Pacific network.

The company has commemorated its launch with the announcement it has been appointed exclusive Australian dealer of the prestigious Dufour brand of sailing monohulls.

Mark Elkington said the partnership was an exciting endorsement for The Yacht Sales Co, which already has a strong and enduring relationship with Dufour’s parent company, the Fountaine Pajot Group, following decades of representing their range of world-leading catamarans in the region.

“We are honoured to be chosen as Dufour’s official distributor and dealer and are looking forward to showcasing these superb yachts to our extensive database of new and existing clients,” Elkington said.

“Our professional sales and marketing team will be led by Bob Vinks, a highly respected marine industry professional, who has a strategic plan to significantly expand Dufour’s presence in the region,” he said.

The Yacht Sales Co has secured the new model Dufour 470 for delivery to Australia in early 2021, which the shipyard has claimed will be “a game changer for the sailing monohull market.”

Timmerman Yachts is a Russian builder of quality luxury motor yachts. Based in Moscow, it is owned by a group of Dutch and Russian investors and operates out of Moscow Shipyard. Several noted naval architecture and yacht design firms are involved with Timmerman, including Vripack, Guido de Groot Design, Ginton Naval Architects, Jon Bannenberg Ltd., and Francis Design Ltd.

Founded in 2003, the company was named for 17th century Dutch boat builder Franz Timmerman who brought Dutch boat manufacturing techniques to Russia and co-founded the Russian navy. Timmerman Yachts has more than 1,000 employees working at the Moscow Shipyard.

Timmerman has delivered a number of semi-custom luxury yachts between 26-47 metres in length, including TM26 and Timmerman FD-51, designed by Francis Design Ltd. Other notable Timmerman yachts include Victoria M, Alexandra (now Latitude) and Olsten 125′.

One of the 10 largest yacht builders in the world, Timmerman is focused on building high-quality luxury yachts at more competitive prices. Its Russian-Dutch partnership provides great yacht-building capabilities. Timmerman builds yacht to the highest standards and holds DNV, MCA and Russian River Register certification. The company reportedly has more than a dozen yachts in some phase of construction.

Description

• Maintain maximum sales volume at correct discount budgeted margin.
• Identify new customers in the allocated area and ensure the proper opening of customer data file.
• Call on existing customers in allocated area on a regular basis as per the requirement of (STM).
• Manage customer accounts & provide business management data to customers in order to improve spend.
• Keep continuous record of customer contact details and schedule of contacts.
• Ensure distribution of MAN related parts through all sectors of the trade and customer base.
• Assist with all stock counts, stand by duties and stand in for the Parts Counter Salesman.
• Ensure all customer queries are resolved and where necessary reported to the Parts Manager.
• Actively promote all parts promotions and sales campaigns.
• Promote and sell MAN parts, products to customers and identify areas to improve customer spend.
• Maintain and update the STM system as and when required.

Requirements Qualifications:

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.
• Work independently though being a team player.
• Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.
• Work well under pressure and maintain good customer relations.
• Pro-active, highly motivated and pay attention to detail.
• Customer focused with a results driven approach.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on standby.
• Computer Literate.
• Target Driven.
• Code EB drivers licence.

Experience:

• Experience within commercial part sales with the ability to meet sales and margin targets - 3 years (Essential).
