Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 4 years. Maximum weight – 300 lbs. Minimum age to consume alcohol is 21 years. What to Bring: Beach towel and credit/debit card for purchases. A valid ID for drinking age verification. Guests will be divided into groups based on swimming/snorkeling ability. Depending on weather conditions you may be returned by catamaran or bus. While visiting Roatan, you will be on the Bay Islands National Marine Park, the largest protected marine area in Honduras. Please do not litter, and do not touch, disturb or buy souvenirs made from marine life. Your support makes all the difference; help conserve this marine protected area. And as time permits, please visit the Marine Park’s kiosk as you transit through the Mahogany Bay Cruise Terminal to learn more about this precious resource.

Jolly Roger Roatan has been offering cruises for over ten years around the island. With five catamarans in their fleet, they offer flexibility so you can choose the best day and time for your excursion to make it convenient for you.

Your tour starts with an incredibly warm welcome from the crew as you step aboard the spacious catamaran. Grab a seat and get comfortable as you cruise out into the open ocean with great views of the island along the way. The crew is very aware of your safety and comfort, so be sure to listen as they explain all of their safety procedures.

Taking a tour by boat allows you to see the many communities of the island of Roatan. You might pass by French Harbour, the industrial center of the island featuring dozens of major shipping and fishing vessels. Be sure to wave at all the fishermen as you pass by! Or you might pass by West End and West Bay, the tourism centers of Roatan and both vibrant communities with hotels, bars, and restaurants all along the water. Your snorkel excursion might take you close to French Cay, where a protected marina offers a safe haven for small private yachts and catamarans. The views throughout your tour will be incredible, so sit back and enjoy the ride!

Once you’ve reached your destination to begin your snorkel adventure, the crew will separate your group into beginner and advanced snorkelers. Don’t worry – if you’ve never even worn a mask and fins before, you can rest assured that you will be taken care of by this wonderful crew so that you can enjoy your tour.

Choose to either walk down the ladder and ease into the ocean, or go ahead and take a leap off the back of the catamaran and make a splash! Your snorkel guide will lead you to the most beautiful areas of coral reef so you can admire the many colors and the variety of coral growth as you watch the marine life scurry around below you. Keep an eye out for colorful parrotfish munching on coral heads, and look around for schools of blue tang – just like Dory from Finding Nemo! If you’re really lucky, you may even spot a sea turtle or even a stingray!

Throughout your snorkel tour, a guide will be leading the way to ensure your safety and to show you the best sites. Additionally, other crewmembers will be nearby in kayaks for extra support or to tow you back to the catamaran should you want to return before the end of your snorkel tour.

Once you’ve seen all there is to see under that beautiful blue ocean, it’s time for lunch! Help yourself to a tasty meal freshly prepared by the in-house cook that morning. And of course you’ll need something to wash it down, so what better way to enjoy a beautiful day on the ocean than to swig some rum like a pirate! The bar will stay open for the remainder of your tour, and the tunes will be playing all day long. Have fun, enjoy the scenery, and if there’s a nice breeze you can catch a sail all the way back to your dock.

Head out over the waters of Honduras for a snorkel outing that's ideal for beginners and experienced snorkelers alike. It offers two separate, professionally-guided snorkel groups -- one for those who are new to snorkeling or require more assistance and one for confident snorkelers. Beginners don't feel rushed; long-time snorkelers can explore on their own and not feel held back by others.

Lifeguards drift in kayaks near both snorkel groups, offering support and assistance to anyone who feels tired or who wants to return to the boat during the tour.

After snorkeling, dig into a hot buffet lunch of rotisserie chicken with an open bar offering rum drinks or non-alcoholic soft drinks and water.

This memorable day out is ideal for families, couples, singles and groups of friends.

Your adventure begins at the cruise ship pier, where you’ll be met by your Captain and crew. After a scenic 30 minute bus transfer get ready to board your waiting 60 foot, modern, sailing catamaran. After a short safety briefing, you’ll set sail along the scenic coast of Roatan in stunning turquoise Caribbean waters. During your sail to the snorkeling point, you’ll be fitted with your snorkeling equipment and given safety instructions. There is plenty of room to stretch out on the forward sun deck and ample comfortable shaded seating. There’s also a bar serving soft drinks and purified water before snorkeling. After approximately one half hour, you’ll arrive at the snorkeling point.

Snorkeling here is about the best the Caribbean has to offer. Enter the crystal clear, warm water, via the center stair case. Get an up close view of beautiful living coral and a large variety of tropical reef fish. All levels of snorkeler's, novice, intermediate and advanced snorkeler's will enjoy this site. Your snorkel guides will direct you to the best areas and make sure you are comfortable. After all snorkeling is finished (approximately 60 minutes) you’re invited aboard to enjoy unlimited rum punch, rum drinks, fruit punch, soft drinks and a rotisserie roast chicken lunch with rice, pasta salad, cabbage salad and fresh fruit in season. Kick back and relax, listen to Caribbean music as you sail to the disembarkation point for your return transfer to your ship, approximately 30 minutes. One of the crew will accompany you back to the ship and be happy to answer any questions about Roatan & Honduras. Feel free to take home complimentary local Honduran currency as your souvenir and free digital photographs taken while onboard your tour.
