More than 3.000 motor and sailing yachts per year leave the shipyard ranking among the world?s largest and most successful yacht manufacturers. The shipyard has one of the most state-of-the-art series production facilities for sailing yachts worldwide. From hull lamination to final delivery, our yachts pass various assembly stations covering a distance of more than six kilometres. Bavaria applies standards that are considerably more rigorous than required by law. The GL Yacht Plus Certification, a voluntary yet strict certification process that far exceeds EU requirements offering an even greater degree of security, can be taken as an example.

Bavaria Yachts USA Open Atlanta HQ

The new Atlanta office is located in Atlanta's Midtown district, front and centers on Peachtree Street, the city's busiest thoroughfare. This location will serve as the company's national corporate headquarters, and a satellite sales location, as well as a "Port of Call" for Bavaria owners residing in, or visiting Atlanta, says Bavaria. "We are excited to continue our expansion across the U.S.," explains Kenny Feld, Managing Director of Bavaria Yachts USA, "we have been energized and humbled by the eager reception of U.S. boat buyers for Bavaria Yachts' premium quality and performance cruising sailboats, as well as our innovative factory-direct sales and owner support approach." Mr. Feld will be based in the new Atlanta location. The company opened its flagship Sales and Service location in the heart of Annapolis, Maryland in June of 2011, followed by its Mystic, Connecticut location in 2012 to serve the New England region, and the first West Coast location recently opened in late 2013 in San Diego, California. The opening of a fifth U.S. location is already in progress, another announcement will be coming this summer. About the Company Bavaria Yachts has been one of Europe's top-producing boat builders for 36 years. All Bavaria Yachts are built in a single, state-of-the-art factory in Northern Bavaria, Germany. Yachts estranged from any navigable waters sounds perplexing at first. But the answer lies in Bavaria Yachts’ history; because revolution often happens where you least expect it. Bavaria Yachts, located in the small town of Giebelstadt in Würzburg, has not always manufactured yachts. With no navigable waters in sight, Winfried Herrmann’s idea to turn his company for plastic windows into a top-notch shipyard sprung from seeing a grand opportunity for true innovation. In 1978, Herrmann realised his ambitious plan and started to specialise in building yachts. The primary difference to other shipyards? Herrmann’s optimised manufacturing process.

Since its founding, Bavaria Yachts is known as an innovation leader in serial yacht manufacturing . Over 450 sailing yachts and motorboats are manufactured on the Bavaria shipyard in Giebelstadt, near Würzburg. Four production lines, each 125 meters long, a carpenter’s workshop where the entirety of the yacht is constructed, two halls to manufacture hulls and decks, are accommodated on a large surface measuring 200,000 square meters.

It is one of the most contemporary manufacturers of sailing yachts and motorboats worldwide. A Bavaria yacht is the product of the perfect interplay between its components.
