Additionally there are five villas with guest rooms comprising a spacious open plan bedroom with living area, bathroom and terrace, plus access to an exclusive outdoor pool shared between the villas. Breakfast and a la carte dining can be enjoyed al fresco by the waterfront during the summer, and set in the tranquil gardens is a charming outdoor swimming pool with plenty of sunloungers and serviced by a pool bar. In addition, the spa offers a range of massage and beauty treatments as well as a Turkish bath and sauna. The hotel is an easy 1km walk from restaurants, cafes, bars and shops in Fethiye centre, and just 15 minutes' walk from the Telmessos ruins and the Lycian Rock Tombs although the nearest beach, Calis, is 3.5km away. Not all facilities are complimentary and are subject to seasonal demand.

With just 40 rooms and suites, most of which enjoy beautiful views over the marina, this is a popular hotel for couples and families alike. All of the contemporary rooms are decorated in soft, neutral shades, enhancing the natural beauty of the clear blue sea and verdant greenery of the surrounding pine-clad mountains outside.

The cosy standard rooms are ideal for couples, many of which enjoy sea views, there are also some rooms that can sleep a family of up to four guests, the Deluxe Rooms boast a spacious private terrace complete with a luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub, the Penthouses enjoy a spacious suite with living area and terrace with panoramic views, and if you really want to indulge, why not treat yourself to one of the new Water Villas, with a beautiful terrace which leads straight into a pool shared with just 4 other villas.

Yacht Classic has a superb restaurant, serving a wide menu of Turkish and international cuisine to suit all tastes, and all dishes are prepared using the finest local produce. Breakfast is a plentiful open buffet and lunch and evening meals are served from a wonderful a la carte menu.

There is a large communal swimming pool plus a smaller one for children, and couples just love the separate adult only pool lined with comfy sunbeds and beautiful sea views.

The Yacht Classic is just 10 minutes stroll to the bustling harbour town of Fethiye with it fantastic array of shops and restaurants, and do pop down to the popular fish market and choose your freshly caught supper and pop in to one of the restaurants to have it prepared just how you like it!

NB Due to the increase in fuel costs and inflation in Turkey, unfortunately there is now a  supplement on all holidays of £15 per person.

Please do get in touch if you would like us to source your flights, we can do all the hard work in sourcing and booking them.  We do charge a small admin fee of £10 per person for doing this on your behalf .

The benefit of us booking your flights means that you are completely covered for all the services booked within the holiday package under our ATOL licence. This means you have complete peace of mind. We will then check you in and send you all the necessary documents. You have nothing to do, except pack and look forward to your holiday!

If you would like us to book your flights, we would also require the full cost of any flights purchased on your behalf.

The balance is required 8 weeks before travel. If you are booking within 8 weeks then the full payment is required at the time of booking.

We will take care of all the logistics, split centre transfers and for those who wish to self-drive, we also offer this service too.

Kalkan is a picturesque harbour town set in a vast horseshoe bay, flanked by a rocky mountainous backdrop. The Kas Peninsula is a wonderful setting for a holiday: the views across the blue sea to the Greek island of Meis are spectacular and the land slopes down to the rocky coastline where swimming platforms let you plunge straight into the crystal clear water.

The Cappadocia National Park region covers over 24,000 square kilometres with a distinct and highly unusual landscape. The valley of Fairy Chimneys is the most popular area, roughly within the triangle formed by the three main towns of the region, Avanos, Urgup and Nevsehir. Yacht docked in Southern California carrying fireworks erupts in flames

A 100 foot yacht docked in Marina del Rey that had fireworks aboard erupted in flames Wednesday night.

Crews with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to reports of the blaze at 2201 Basin A just after 8:30 p.m., and told KTLA that two passengers onboard at the time of the fire were able to escape without injury.

It’s unclear exactly how the fire started, but Sky5 reporter Gil Leyvas said the yacht’s owner reportedly told firefighters that in addition to fireworks, there were approximately 1,000 rounds of ammunition on the starboard side of the vessel, presumably below deck, though fire officials have yet to confirm that.

In footage posted to the Citizen App, heavy flames could be seen engulfing the vessel as firefighters pulled into the area and began dousing the flames from the street, a firefighting boat and the docks.

As crews worked to contain the blaze, which was threatening nearby boats and structures, fireworks began exploding out of the vessel.

Aerial footage captured by Sky5 showed the large boat, named The Admiral, sustained heavy damage from the fire.

Even as firefighters knocked down the worst of the blaze and dense black smoke billowed off the vessel, which began listing to the side, flames could still be seen burning below deck.

Just before 10:30 p.m., Sky5 captured aerial footage of The Admiral sinking as water from firefighters weighed the vessel down, causing it to take on even more water.

First responders had set up a boom in the area where the boat was docked to capture any contaminants, including diesel fuel, coming from the vessel as it was sinking.

So far, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Head out to sea from Fiddler’s Cove Marina & RV Park, located along the scenic Silver Strand Highway just south of NAB. The marina is off-base and is open to active duty, retirees, DoD civilians and guests when accompanied by an eligible sponsor. Fiddler’s Cove offers kayak, canoe, and sailboat rentals, as well as 15´ Boston Whaler motorboats that hold up to four adults. Also available are slip rentals, showers, restrooms, a laundry facility and chandlery store. They also rent lock and leave storage lockers. Other features include bike paths, dump station, dog run, and wireless internet.

Fiddler's Cove has several different sizes and types of boats to rent including sailboats ranging from 8-27 feet, 15 foot power boats, kayaks and canoes.

Fiddler's Cove features a general store, laundry and restroom facilities, bike paths, dump station, dog run, boat rental and wireless internet.

Two-day adult sailing classes are offered most weekends from 9 am to 4 pm at Fiddler's Cove Marina. Classes are open to all eligible MWR patrons and sponsored guests.

Class fees per person are E1-E6 $150; E7 and above and Retirees $200; DoD civilians $225; and sponsored guests $250. Dependent fees are calculated at the sponsoring active duty or retiree rate. Pre-registration is recommended as classes can fill up quickly.

Registration includes boat rental, instruction and textbooks. Students per boat will be kept to the minimum amount possible in order to maximize learning potential, and will range from one to four. Number of students per boat is dependent on the boat size, sailing conditions and the skills being developed in the class. On completion of the course, participants receive a Navy Qualification Card.

Housed at the Fiddler’s Cove Marina, the Navy Yacht Club offers both Single and Family memberships. Membership is open to all active duty and retired military personnel, their dependents and DoD employees.

Fiddler's Cove is a beautiful Marina, and boat slips are actually reasonably inexpensive (boats, on the other hand, are not). The rentals for kayaks and paddleboards are really fun and convenient, and the Marina is relatively unknown so it doesn't get too crowded. A gem!

This is one of the best deals in the Navy! Fiddler's Cove Marina is just south of the amphib base on Coronado and allows patrons to check out sailboats, paddle boards, kayaks, and more. It also offers slips for those who own boats. Highly recommend visiting this marina and taking advantage of all that it offers.
