PORTO AZZURRO. Alla Marina di Porto Azzurro è arrivato Roe, il superyacht alla scoperta della bellezza dell’Isola d’Elba. È arrivato nelle acque dell’Isola d’Elba ed ha ormeggiato alla marina di Porto Azzurro, senza passare inosservato. Roe, il superyacht firmato Yacht Turquoise, con i suoi 74 metri di bellezza e design ed un support vessel (tender) al seguito di ben 27 metri equipaggiato con i “toys da mare”, ha scelto l’approdo sicuro di Porto Azzurro assistita da Sacomar Yacht Agency, destando la curiosità e l’ammirazione di molti turisti. Consegnato nel 2022, il superyacht di proprietà del magnate della finanza venezuelano Juan Carlos Escotet parla anche un po’italiano: a progettarne gli esterni è stato infatti il maestro del design nautico Andrea Vallicelli che concepì Azzurra, la barca più famosa d’Italia che nel 1983 partecipò all’America’s Cup appassionando l’intero paese alla vela. Roe è annoverato tra i 110 yacht a motore nella gamma di dimensioni 70-80 metri e come hanno fatto molti altri giganti del mare in questi ultimi anni, ha scelto l’approdo di Porto Azzurro. La Marina di Porto Azzurro ha visto nell’ultimo periodo crescere in maniera importante il suo ruolo nel settore della nautica da diporto nelle acque del Mediterraneo, grazie a mirati investimenti, ad una ristrutturazione dei servizi e ad un’attenzione particolare all’accoglienza. Porto Azzurro Yacht Charter

Porto Azzurro, formerly known as Portolongone, the elegant “living room” of Elba, Italy - the largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago. Lo yacht di Michael Jordan nelle acque di Porto Azzurro

Il gioiello del mare m'brace era già stato all'elba. non è noto se il campione fosse a bordo.

E’ tornato all’isola d’Elba il superyacht M’brace, di proprietà della stella del basket americano Michael Jordan. L’imbarcazione,lunga 75 metri e del valore di 175 milioni di euro,  è dotata di ogni comfort possibile e immaginabile compreso un campo da pallacanestro fatto costruire appositamente da Jordan. Non è la prima volta  che questo yacht approda all’Elba visto che già l’anno scorso venne immortalato nei pressi di Portoferraio per la curiosità di turisti e abitanti dell’isola.

Stavolta M’brace è stato fotografato nel pomeriggio di giovedì 25 luglio da Ezio Cairoli al largo di Porto Azzurro, fra Forte Focardo e Straccoligno. Non è dato sapere se Michael Jordan fosse a bordo, perchè l’altro suo yacht, Joy, è  stato avvistato a Capri.

Pearls of Venus

The Arcipelago Toscano National Park is the largest marine park in Europe. It includes the seven main islands of the Archipelago, some minor islands and cliffs. Like real pearls in a necklace, the islands differ from one another. Each though preserves traces of its history, each is unique; their common bond is the beauty of their natural setting. Elba is the largest island of the Archipelago : its sea, its beaches, the green of the countryside, the tiny fortress towns, archaeological treasures, chestnut forests and more have survived over the centuries and continue to flourish. On the island of Elba one gets the feeling of “good goods in small parcels” since one can travel through so may different landscapes and attractions, often in contrast with each other: areas scorched by sun and wind alongside others luxuriant and green with life, sandy and pebbled beaches, rocky coastlines and sheer cliffs.

The Portoferraio Harbour(Darsena Medicea)

The touristic harbour of Portoferraio allows the mooring of ships up to 80 m. of length (even alongside). If the weather allows it is even possible to moore forwards units up to 90 meters .

For larger units are available the quays of the commercial harbour, just beside the touristic harbour normally reserved for cruise ships with a length up to 200 meters and a draft of 8 meters . The quays are equipped with supply of electricity and water, assistance during mooring.

Rules and Regulation

Important rules regulating the access of the harbour:

• Pleasure crafts must not hinder or obstruct manoeuvres or routes of ships entering and leaving the port as they always have precedence
• In the access canal situated in the W part of the gulf and shown on nautical maps, vessels leaving the port must keep lo the left.
• Prohibition of anchorage must be observed in the port area (W of the adjoining "Martello" Tower - The "Grotte" Point) anchorage is prohibited everywhere except in an area to the S.
• Arriving from W . to avoid the shallows of "Capo Blanco" about 1 mile WNN from the lighthouse, go N of the cardinal light buoy positioned there
• The area of sea between the Stella Fort Lighthouse Point - the "Scoglietto" and "Capo Bianco" Point is a biologically protected area. Prohibition of fishing must be observed.

The Marciana Marina Harbour

The little harbour has a sea-wall 330 metres long which shelters the port from high winds. Marciana Marina is an interesting departure point for the nearby island of Capraia (22 miles away) and for the coast of Capo Corso in Corsica ( 30 miles away).

The touristic harbour of Marciana Marina allows the mooring of ships up to 50 m. of length (even alongside).

The Porto Azzurro Harbour(New Marina)

The Porto Azzuro marina is located in Porto Azzurro, a pretty village in the east coast of Elba Island. We are glad to inform you that form the beginning of July 2011 a new seperyacht Marina is available in Porto Azzurro. The new Marina allow the mooring of yachts up to 60 meters in lenght with mooring lines. All guests who moor there will have access to very basic services, such as water and electricity. Its users may take advantage of its complete basic range of services.

Fari e fanali: 2040 (E 1432) – faro a lampi bianchi grp.3, periodo 15 sec., portata 16 M, su Capo Focardo; 2044 (E 1436) – fanale a lampi verdi, periodo 3 sec., portata 6 M, sulla testata del molo a dritta entrando; 2048 (E 1434) – fanale a lampi rossi periodo 3 sec., portata 6 M, su Punta S. Giovanni a sinistra entrando.

Vietato l’ormeggio negli spazi riservati indicati con strisce gialle. E’ possibile inoltre ormeggiare anche nella Baia di Mola.

Le nostre quattro basi nautiche , situate a Portoferraio (in località Grigolo presso la Lega Navale Italiana), Spiaggia dell’Enfola e Marciana Marina nella parte settentrionale dell’Isola, e Capoliveri – Porto Azzurro in Località Golfo di Mola nella parte meridionale, offrono servizi diversificati, come noleggio barche e gommoni a motore, escursioni giornaliere in barca a vela o a motore, escursioni di pesca sportiva, ormeggio alla boa, rimessaggio invernale all’aperto e al chiuso, perizie navali e corsi di patente nautica. Presso le basi dell’Enfola e di Marciana Marina potete inoltre trovare attrezzatura da spiaggia, lettini, ombrelloni, pedalò, canoe, SUP e wind-surf.

Alla base di Portoferraio è possibile noleggiare barche e gommoni a motore con o senza patente, usufruire di ormeggio alla boa e rimessaggio invernale all’aperto o al coperto. Dalle basi nautiche di Portoferraio  e Marciana Marina è possibile visitare tutta la costa nord dell’Isola e trascorrere una giornata in tutto relax tra lo Scoglietto, le scogliere bianche di Sansone passando dalla riserva naturale del Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano, il promontorio dell’Enfola e baia del Viticcio, per poi proseguire verso la spiaggia di Procchio e della Biodola, fino ad arrivare all’isolotto della Paolina. Proseguendo, si arriva a Marciana Marina, oltre cui si arriva a Sant’Andrea, le isolette Formiche Della Zanca e il Relitto di Pomonte nella parte occidentale dell’Isola. Dalla Base Nautica di Capoliveri – Porto Azzurro in località Golfo di Mola, è possibile noleggiare gommoni e barche con o senza patente, e ormeggio alla boa con possibilità di acqua e corrente. In questa base troverete inoltre un ampio parcheggio auto gratuito. Su richiesta è anche possibile ricevere a domicilio e gratuitamente le imbarcazioni su tutto il golfo di Porto Azzurro o presso le vicine strutture turistiche. Dal noleggio barche di Capoliveri – Porto Azzurro è possibile trascorrere una stupenda giornata in mare, fra le coste e calette a sud ed est dell’Isola d’Elba, arrivare fino a Cavo passando dalle vecchie miniere di ferro e dalle meravigliose Spiagge Rosse di Capo d’Arco, Ortano e Rio Marina. Andando in direzione di Capoliveri è possibile ammirare la selvaggia spiaggia di Remaiolo con le sue calette adiacenti, i vecchi impianti minerari che sorgono su spiagge nere e brillanti di ematite, la bellissima e rigogliosa vegetazione tra le scogliere ed insenature dell’Innamorata, Morcone, Pareti e i Peducelli! Particolare è la costa meridionale dell’Isola, che offre la vegetazione tipica della Macchia Mediterranea, scogliere a picco sul mare, ciottoli neri e spiagge dorate, fino ad arrivare a Marina di Campo, passando dalla spiaggia del Lido di Capoliveri, Felciao, Acquarilli e Lacona, e continuando a navigare davanti le spiaggie di Cavoli e Fetovaia, il tutto caratterizzato da mare limpido e cristallino. Inoltre, le quattro basi nautiche di Millennium Marine riservano particolare attenzione alla sicurezza in mare. Infatti ogni imbarcazione è dotata di regolare attrezzatura di salvataggio per adulti e bambini. Durante la giornata è premura del nostro staff intervenire immediatamente, qualora abbiate bisogno di alcun tipo di supporto durante le vostre escursioni in mare con le nostre imbarcazioni. L’Isola d’Elba gode di una posizione geografica privilegiata, sia per il clima (che fino a fine ottobre consente a residenti e visitatori di stare al mare), sia per la vita marina che la contraddistingue. È infatti notoriamente chiamata (Il Santuario dei Cetacei), dove molto spesso si ha il piacere di incontrare delfini, balenottere e tartarughe marine! Che partiate dalla Base Nautica di Portoferraio , Marciana Marina o da quella di  Capoliveri – Porto Azzurro , sarà un esperienza unica, caratterizzata da panorami mozzafiato, fondali ogni giorno differenti per snorkeling, circondati all’orizzonte dalle altre isole dell’Arcipelago Toscano, e dai suggestivi e colorati paesini elbani che si affacciano sul mare smisuratamente blu, limpido e cristallino! Marina Porto Azzurro offers 222 berths for boats up to 90 metres, depths range from 2.5 – 6.0 metres at the marina. Mooring assistance is provided and there is a fuel station, toilets and showers.

The marina is situated close to all other amenities found within the town. Overlooked by a 17th century fort, the marina is in an excellent position to begin exploring the Island of Elba upon which Napoleon was famously imprisoned in the early 19th century.
