Finding a photo shoot location is a challenging logistical problem for every Filipino Photographer .

For events-related such as wedding photography, most clients rely on their events organizer or to their professional photographers .

Most especially, it’s not an easy task for an amateur photographer and freelance photographer to find the best photography locations for free.

Based on my experience, when the client is asking for a quotation, they’re also asking for a suggestion about the location of the shoot. Which is very hard for a beginner.

PRO TIP: Aside from the theme of the shoot, always ask the budget when it comes to the location of the shoot.

With more than 7, 107 picturesque islands and islets in the Philippines, there are inexplicably thousands of places to choose from, especially when talking about pre-debut or cheap prenup locations in Manila.

And some would say finding a location is as easy as pie. After all, there are tons of go-to locations in and around the metro.

And yes, it’s easy to go for the usual. But, worry no more, because I will give you a list of my best picks located in Manila and nearby – from resorts and hotels to parks and world heritage.

Paco Park (Manila)

A beautiful recreational garden not too far away from Intramuros. It was once Manila’s municipal cemetery of the Spanish colonial elite. It was declared National Park in 1966 and marked as the most beautiful park in the Philippines. And there’s a lot of picturesque spots that you can enjoy here in a walled place that has a domed shaped chapel.

Event and photo shoot inquiries can be done in San Vicente De Paul Parish. Or you can send a letter addressed to Executive Director of the National Parks Development Committee, indicating intent and shoot details.

There is no shooting fee if you’re shooting for non-commercial use for a minimum of 2 hours based on this post . But you need to pay the shooting fee if more than the allowed free time.

Whether you want a fancy pre-debut or a vibrant prenup shot, Art in Island Museum is an excellent place to capture photos of your family and friends.

Heirloom Manila

Even after hearing the name of this location, you’re expected to be amazed not only by the various pieces of art but also appreciate the surroundings and artifacts that are featured in the site. This sweet location is now open and located at S Maison below Conrad Hotel Manila, Hilton’s Worldwide Luxury Property. A truly mouthwatering dessert theme rooms and the most Instagram worthy museum.

If you’re going to choose this location, make sure that you trust your photographer. Because you only have 15 minutes max per room to enjoy all 8 rooms for 2 hours. Search for a peg, print it out and bring them on the day of the shoot.

Manila Central Post Office

National Museum declared Manila Central Post Office as an Important Cultural Property (ICP). PHLPost celebrates its 251st founding Anniversary and National Stamp Collecting Month (NSCM) last November 2018.

This is one of the greatest American colonial structures in the country. A Greco-Roman building and architectural jewel of the Philippines which is located along the banks of Pasig River.

The photo shoot in Manila Post Office is free. Just make sure not to disrupt the day-to-day operation.

The Manila Yacht Club (MYC), established in 1927, is a member’s only Club and is the country’s premier yacht club. Considered as a social and sporting Mecca, much of the Philippines boating activities are based at the MYC.

89 years on, the Club remains today, the country’s premiere yacht club due to its strong traditions and rich historic past. The Club is a yachting hub in Southeast Asia committed to the promotion of all forms of water activities.

Past MYC Commo. Juan Marcos C. Arellano Offshore Sailing

When it comes to maintenance of member’s yachts, the MYC Yard facilities have been upgraded to include a 15-ton travel lift capable of lifting yachts up to 50 feet and a slipway for larger heavier yachts. A hardstand area, work dock, and concrete launching ramp are also available.

The 2015-2016 Boating Season formally began with the Club’s traditional Opening Day celebrated last Saturday, October 10, 2015.

RAdm. Bayani R. Gaerlan AFP, Chief of Naval Staff, was guest of honor.  He joined Commodore Francisco P. Garcia, Club Directors and other club members to celebrate this colorful annual event.

The Philippine Coast Guard 101st Auxiliary commanded by Rear Admiral Winifredo E. Villanueva, together with the MYC 201st Naval Affiliated Reserved Squadron, joined the day’s festivities.

The MYC offers members extensive dining and restaurant facilities; The Clubhouse Veranda now features an attractive array of Chinese, Spanish and Filipino cuisine in its daily menu offerings and the opportunity to enjoy the famous Manila Bay Sunset. Formal Dining is offered at the Diamond Helm Room. And a range of private function facilities can cater to anything from small family gatherings or business lunches to grand ball functions catering to 100 or more.

Visiting yachts and their crews are welcome to the Club.  The Manila Yacht Club is situated within a closed basin protected by a typhoon-proof breakwater.

Visiting yachts up to 60 feet may be moored inside the basin, Yachts above 60 feet may anchor outside the basin and transfer by dinghy or service boat to the main clubhouse. Upon arrival, visitors should register with the Administration office and introduce themselves to the Club officers.

MYC Maricaban Properties

75 Nautical Miles from Manila, Maricaban Island, Batangas, is a good out-of-town destination for MYC boat owners of both sailboats and motorboats, and for the other MYC Sailing and Boating Programs.

The Yellow brick tracker is a rugged and fully self-contained battery operated tracker which works anywhere on Earth. The standalone marine safety, tracking, and communications unit is now available for Rent from the MYC Sailing and Race Office.

To find the right yacht for your event, consider several important factors first. This includes theme of the party, dress code, the number of guests you’d like to invite, accommodations and amenities, and the ideal date and time to celebrate.

Step 2 - Book Your Yacht Rental

Once you have selected the right yacht rental for your event, you may now secure a booking. We will require full payment for the boat event and send you the voucher with the details for you and your guests.

Step 3 - Plan the Details

After booking your yacht rental, it’s time to plan your event with the help of our team of specialists. Invite your guests and inform them of the important details, such as when and where the event will be held. Don’t forget to include the crew members since yachts only offer a limited space. Find a catering service and hire a DJ or a live band.

Step 4 - Finalize

Before the big day, make sure you communicate and discuss with the people participating. This includes the yacht’s captain, the crew, and the performers. Include additional requests to ensure that the entire event goes according to plan.

Step 5 - Enjoy the Yacht Event

Browse our available boats on our website. Each page has a location of the boat for rent, which is very important. A boat located in Manila shall not be able to reach Subic or Punta Fuego, and if this is possible, there will be additional fees.

Additionally, the capacity will be very important. For example, the boat party capacity will not be the same as an overnight or a day cruise. Once you have selected the perfect boat or package, we will be able to add options such as catering, design, sound system, and anything else you like.

It’s secluded and less than an hour away from Subic. We shot Kevin and Anne’s engagement there and we’d like to share some photos.
