The Berthon Sales Division has a large international brokerage house with offices in Lymington, France, Scandinavia, Spain and the USA. We are delighted to advise and help you with your yacht purchase in the main yachting centres worldwide. We also have an active new yacht division, distributing Windy Boats of Norway.

Berthon International can service or refit your yacht, offering anything from a fresh coat of antifoul, to a new teak deck, new suite of electronics or complete rebuild.

Berthon Lymington Marina has 280 deep water berths situated in the heart of the enchanting Georgian town of Lymington with easy access to the Solent.

Building a new yacht is a special experience for a buyer, and our sales staff have the key skills needed to navigate the difficulties of this very exciting process! It is often a lengthy process from idea to delivery so a good relationship with your broker is key and that’s where we are here to help and guide you through.

Our team has been to all of the manufacturing facilities who are building the brands we offer, meeting face to the face with their staff and working together to streamline the order process. We offer a wide range of new yachts to meet whatever your needs may be. These are Moody Yachts, British built Rustler Yachts, Sealine Yachts built by the Hanse group in Germany and Solaris Yachts of Italy.

For a US buyer, it is important to trust the chosen yacht broker/new boat agent handling your deal, including not only the build but also the delivery and warranty of their magic carpet of choice. Having built new yachts with our clients since 1981, Berthon USA’s experience is extensive and we are proud to say we have dealt with ship/boatyards in Finland, Sweden, Holland, Italy, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Germany to date.

The Berthon USA team will work with you from the initial showing, to build specification/contract, the build, and then the delivery, commissioning and of course, after sales service. In most cases, your broker will be there as the yacht leaves the factory for a final inspection, and there when the yacht is delivered to you – wherever that may be.

Your new yacht can be picked up at the factory, delivered by a professional crew, or delivered via a Yacht Transport Service – to the closest port near you. It is quite convenient that the transport ships usually have Newport, Baltimore and Florida as regular discharge ports, one of which is usually suitable for our clients. Whatever port it may be, we also have a good yard that will assist with the final commissioning when the time comes.

Since 2011, Berthon USA has been the dealer for Moody Yachts. Moody designs by Bill Dixon are fast, comfortable cruising yachts, with all the modern features. What is incredible to sail are the 'decksaloon' versions, with tons of storage and one level living, a feature sought after by those planning a long distance adventure or simply a full time liveaboard situation. The decksaloons are available in the Moody DS41, the popular DS45, or the roomy and fast 4-cabin Moody DS54.

We represent Rustler Yachts of England for the United States and Canada. These fine yachts include the Rustler models from the 24’ daysailer, the 33’ (daysailer/weekender), the Rustler 37, 42 & 44 cruisers and finally the striking Rustler 57. If you are looking for an example of one of the best classic cruising yachts you can buy, well, there is no need to look further as you shall see! One of the latest offerings from Rustler is the Rustler 41 Motor Yacht - a stunning Tony Castro design. Sealine Yachts

In September 2020, our brand offering was expanded yet again with the addition of Sealine powerboats - built by Hanse of Germany, ranging from 33′ to 53′. Sealine offers the comfort and speed you would expect, with swim platforms, inboard or outboards, etc.

In 2021, we were delighted to become the East Coast USA agents for Solaris Yachts, building high quality sailing yachts from 44-111’. These Italian built yachts are true cruiser/racers, designed for the owner/operator in ease of handling, and of course, very well built.

Superior Hallberg-Rassy 44, CARIOCA II now on video

A superior Hallberg-Rassy 44 from 2017, CARIOCA II comes with epic good looks and is in top condition. This very popular Rassy model comes with some excellent features such as two rudder blades, a fixed bowsprit and a hull with a distinct wedge shape. Her wider stern not only enhances downwind sailing performance but also allows for a spacious and luxurious owner’s aft cabin.

History of Hallberg-Rassy 44, CARIOCA II

CARIOCA II has been meticulously maintained by her current owners and has been fully equipped for some serious bluewater cruising. In return this exceptional yacht has rewarded them with sparkling sailing whilst keeping them safe in all weather conditions. After completing the 2018 Atlantic ARC CARIOCA II enjoyed a couple of seasons in the Caribs, before returning to the Solent for some local cruising.

Exploring the Accommodation & Deck Equipment of Hallberg-Rassy 44, CARIOCA II

Designed for both performance and comfort, CARIOCA II boasts a powerful three-spreader mast, offering impressive speed when needed, while remaining stable and easy to handle. Her Elvstrøm electric in-mast sail and electric furling genoa make sail management a breeze, with all lines leading into the cockpit.

Docking is super easy, even in tight marinas, with the help of the Sleipner docking system, bow and stern thrusters. Her all-weather cockpit is well protected, with a fixed windscreen, sprayhood, and two different full cockpit cover options for harsher conditions.

CARIOCA II is fully loaded with an impressive bluewater specification, making life on board very comfortable. From electric furling systems for both the mainsail and genoa to electric Revo winches and excellent Elvstrøm Epex sails, she is designed for ease of handling. She also has aircon, washing machine, dishwasher, full Raymarine navigation wizardry and some bonus Unison solar panels.

Below decks CARIOCA II reveals a beautifully furnished interior, crafted with European Oak woodwork and custom light upholstery.

The ambient lighting adds warmth to the spacious saloon, which provides ample room for entertaining. The galley is well-appointed with a linear layout, offering everything needed for onboard dining.

There is a double v-berth cabin forward and a Pullman bunk cabin to starboard .

The very spacious owner’s cabin is located aft and comes with a centre double berth and an en-suite head with walk in shower.
