Below Deck Sailing Yacht Seaon 5 trailer teases a Daisy romance, less Gary, no Colin, major firing, and more

Daisy Kelliher on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5

Finally, after months of waiting for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 news, we have it, and it’s good.

Bravo released the highly anticipated trailer for the sailing show, along with a premiere date.

The last season fractured the friendships of Daisy Kelliher , Gary King, and Colin MacRae, who all helped make Below Deck Sailing Yacht a mega-hit show.

Colin isn’t back for another season, but Gary and Daisy are, with the past season impacting their working environment.

Aside from the Gary and Daisy drama, we see Captain Glenn Shephard, like never before, losing his s**t on the crew more than once for very good reasons.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 trailer

Daisy is the focal point of the trailer, as it seems the powers that be are making her the star in the aftermath of the sexual misconduct scandal allegations against Gary.

The chief stew finds herself hooking up with a deckhand that could be more than just a boatmance.

It seems that the new chef is going to be a major problem on Season 5. Daisy and the chef butt heads when she refuses to serve his food because, well, it looks like crap.

The party vibe of Ibiza brings many challenges for Captain Glenn and his crew. Not only with unruly guests but also the crew crossing the line by partying with guests.

Captain Glenn sets ground rules for the crew, which are ignored, leading to him unleashing his fury on them. The captain even wakes up the crew at one point after a disastrous crew night out.

Other teasers include another near-boat crash for Parsifal III that makes it seem like Gary may be the one who saves the day. Speaking of Gary, he’s in the trailer, but there’s definitely less of him, and not a single Gary hook-up is featured.

What is featured is a fire, a bloody nose, plenty of drunk falls, and Captain Glenn firing someone. The way it’s set up, too, the teaser definitely wants us to think Captain Glenn fires Daisy or Gary.

No one wants this drunk on TV! @BravoTV let him continuously get drunk and sexually harass women! He even tried to get one of the girls on Project Runway drunk so he could take advantage of her! He’s a predator & he does not belong on TV reaping all the benefits with free booze! So Bravo has put in place safeguards to protect others from sexual harassment, abuse, etc. but is going to let that drunk predator Gary King stay on? NO!!! He’s gotten away with this for a few years and he needs to be stopped!!! Do Better Bravo!!! I won’t be watching! He’s whining & crying on social media.

The Below Deck universe is one of the popular franchises on Bravo. Fans have been clamoring for the trailer for Below Deck Sailing Yacht following the major breakdown of Daisy Kelliher and Gary King ‘s short-lived romance last season. Now, it’s finally here, and the trailer teases everything viewers want — drama, romance, and breaking the rules with the guests.

As fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht know, each season of the show takes place in a different location. Now in its fifth season, the show is set in Ibiza. Season four of the show was set in Italy. This new season comes after Gary was accused of sexual assault.

The new season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht seems like a good time based on the trailer, which comes exclusively from E! News . As it begins, Daisy can be heard saying, “Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight. The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. But now, I’m coming back in more focused, full of energy and I’m f–king good at my job. And I’m taking back the reigns.”

Of course, she is referencing her breakup with Gary. She then counters the previous statement by saying, “It’s gonna be a s–t show.”

The trailer then teases a bit of work-related drama as she says to Gary, “Guess what? We have a f–king job to do, and I’m not f–king carrying this season on my own, you f–king prick!”

Naturally, the season isn’t only about the failed romance between Daisy and Gary. The trailer also shows the crew getting a bit too friendly with the guests. Captain Glenn Shephard , who is clearly upset, can be seen reprimanding the crew after having too many drinks with the guests.

He says, “You guys went out with some guests, I set some ground rules. Two drinks maximum. You knew the rules, you broke the f–king rules, and now you’re here getting upset.”

This season also welcomes some new faces. There’s Chef Cloyce Martin , Chief Engineer Davide Morosi , Stew Diana Cruz , Stew Danni Warren , and Emma Crouch as the deckhand.

Fans can watch the premiere of season five of Below Deck Sailing Yacht on October 7.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

I believe below deck down under season 3 may not be successful (there are major changes), will aesha scott ever return to below deck down under (she’s been struggling on below deck med).

Below Deck Down Under season 3 will be just fine without Aesha Scott. The Australian-based Below Deck spin-off aired its first season on Peacock. Led by Captain Jason Chambers , fans fell in love with the series for its fresh vibe as a new extension to the franchise. Below Deck Down Under was aided by the inclusion of Aesha as the show’s Chief Stew. She emerged as a beloved franchise cast member in Below Deck Mediterranean season 4, where she served as a stew underneath Hannah Ferrier.

Aesha’s positivity is contagious, and her endearing personality combined with her experience in the yachting industry made her the perfect Chief Stew for Below Deck Down Under . She developed a strong bond with Captain Jason, and they led the crew to success each charter season. However, despite her ties to the series , Aesha returned to Below Deck Med season 9 , working alongside Captain Sandy Yawn for the first time since season 5. She excelled in that series, hinting she’ll remain in that cast for the time being. Without Aesha, Below Deck Down Under must go on .

Captain Jason Revealed New Rules Post-Misconduct Scandal

The show made some changes after season 2’s misconduct scandal.

After last season, Below Deck Down Under season 3 is shaping up to be the spin-off’s best season yet. Captain Jason revealed they implemented new policies when filming in a September interview with Us Weekly . All eyes shifted to the series when Luke Jones was fired for sexual misconduct when he climbed into Margot Sisson’s bunk naked while she was intoxicated. He tried to close the door on the film crew, which forced production to remove him from the room, and he was later fired , with Captain Jason and the crew applauded for how they handled the situation.

“There were changes for sure. I know that the policies and procedures were in place during the previous seasons, even when that happened. When production stepped in and stopped it, that showed that these policies and procedures were very understood.”

After the misconduct, Captain Jason confirmed the show “ brought additional HR people ” on-location aside from production during season 3 “ to actually make sure that the black and white writing was understood by all .” The cast is made aware of the “ policies and procedures ,” though the captain said the rules were “ pushed down even further ” in the forthcoming season. It’s great to hear production has taken additional steps to protect the crew members, especially in the wake of such a contentious moment during season 2 and allegations against Gary King from Below Deck Sailing Yacht .

The Season Is Getting A New Chief Stew

With aesha out, a new chief stew will be named.

Without Aesha on Below Deck Down Under season 3, the crew will have a new Chief Stew. Her replacement is unconfirmed, though it’s rumored a few cast members from the second installment rejoined the cast. Allegedly, Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph and deckhand Harry van Vliet returned for another season alongside Captain Jason. The show will survive without Aesha, though it will be odd to watch another Chief Stew step into her role in the series. She became a fixture of the show during her consecutive seasons, though that doesn’t mean the new person won’t be a great replacement.

Captain Jason Is Returning At The Helm

Below deck fans love captain jason.

Captain Jason’s September interview with Us Weekly confirmed he’s returning for season 3. He revealed that the season had already been “ filmed ” and was “ in edits at the moment .” With over a year since season 2, the series is highly anticipated for fans. In the wake of its absence, Captain Jason has been dropping hints and throwing shade at Bravo for the waiting time in between seasons. He teased the show’s return in a comment under a picture with Chef Tzarina on her Instagram in August.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

They posed for photos in front of the popular pink wall in Los Angeles, with Captain Jason writing, “ Below deck down under crew in LA, does this mean our season is getting closer to the screens? Mmm I wonder?” After that comment, he shared more details about his frustration with Bravo on his Instagram Broadcast Channel, screenshotted by @ Bravohusband on Reddit in the same month. Captain Jason revealed he “ can’t work in between ” seasons of the show because “ captains are full-time [and] no owner wants a revolving captain .”

He divulged it was hard not to continue working because “ The show pays virtually nothing until you get a few seasons .” Despite his irritation with the behind-the-scenes team working on the show, Captain Jason is still a part of the season 3 cast. He’s a fan-favorite captain, and production would be silly to let him go from Below Deck Down Under .

Below Deck Down Under season 3 is shaping as the best season of the spin-off yet. With Aesha returning to Below Deck Med , it’s basically confirmed she won’t be in the new season. With Captain Jason seemingly returning, it will be interesting to see how his crew fairs with some new additions.

Below Deck Down Under seasons 1 & 2 are available to stream on Peacock.

Bravo fans have been waiting a very long time for news about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, and the network has finally delivered.

Not only did Bravo just drop a brand-new trailer for the fifth season of the hotly-anticipated reality TV show, the network also confirmed precisely when Below Deck Sailing Yacht will return.

Until today, fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht weren't quite sure the spin-off of Below Deck would return for a fifth season, as the last episode of Season 4 aired way back in July 2023.

Editor's note: This article contains brief mentions of sexual assault, abuse, or other related topics that could be triggering for some readers and survivors. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please visit RAINN.org. The National Sexual Assault Hotline (1-800-656-4673) is available 24/7.

In late June, one viewer asked Reddit users if Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 was ever going to happen, and even as recently as this summer, fans weren't sure the show was returning.

In that thread, BDSY fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to allegations involving First Officer Gary King.

As we previously reported, Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht featured a wild "love triangle" between Gary, Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae:

"Many things influenced the relationship between Daisy and Colin, but one name was the most prominent: Gary King. "Daisy, Colin, and Gary's entanglement reached a boiling point that got the three in public arguments and name-calling, and at the end, estranged."

A month after Season 4 concluded with a two-part reunion in July 2023, Rolling Stone published an in-depth article , "'Below Deck' Accused of Covering Up Gary King’s Sexual Misconduct," rocking the show's audience.

It reported in part:

"Bravo’s Below Deck was recently lauded for its handling of sexual misconduct when a producer on Below Deck Down Under broke the 'fourth wall' and intervened when one cast member, Luke Jones, tried to get into bed naked with another cast member, Margot Sisson, without her consent while she was inebriated and passed out. Not only was Luke fired from the show, but their fellow cast member and stewardess, Laura Bileskalne, was also let go because of victim-blaming comments she made to Margot about the incident and her own line-crossing pursuit of deckhand Adam Kodra. [...] "Samantha Suarez, who first joined Below Deck in the makeup department on Season 10 of the show, tells Rolling Stone that cast member Gary King tried to force himself on her during production of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season Four, which filmed in Sardinia, Italy, in the summer of 2022."

Fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to extensive retooling, but Bravo eventually confirmed the return of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, with a trailer that centers Daisy.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5's Release Date And Trailer

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Trailer

On September 16, Bravo finally released the Below Deck Sailing Yacht trailer.

Bravo shared the clip on Instagram and Twitter/X, to the surprise of fans:

Posts teased the crew's visit to the notoriously riotous destination of Ibiza, and the trailer kicked off with some remarks from Daisy.

Daisy is the first crew member to speak in the trailer, and she addresses the unwieldy love triangle of Season 4:

"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight. The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. "But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy, and I'm f*****g good at my job. And I'm taking back the reins."

Immediately thereafter, the clip cuts to a cabin, where Daisy tells an in-bed Gary that she refuses to "carry this season," before cutting back to newer footage of Daisy laughing and predicting:

This is gonna be a s*** show.

Then the video shifts to Ibiza, where a voiceover describes it as the world's "party capital," and scenes are interspersed with a lot of breaking glass.

Gary (who has not been let go from the franchise) makes an appearance, and the soundbite chosen for the trailer is bizarre given the allegations levied at him last year:

If the guests don't have a good time, we're clearly doing something very wrong.

As the trailer winds down, one of the crew members (likely Deckhand Keith Allen) muses that "Daisy would make a very good wife."

The trailer wraps with an apparent firing, as well as what appears to be a scene during which the crew veers uncomfortable close to another vessel at sea, at night.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 debuts on Bravo on October 7 at 9PM Eastern, and streams on Peacock the following day.

‘Industry’ Shocker: Did Yasmin Really Kill Her Father?!

SPOILER ALERT

We finally get some answers to the jaw-dropping twist in this week’s episode of “Industry,” which also features one of the best depictions of toxic friendship on TV.

Emma Fraser

Emma Fraser

Nick Strasburg/HBO

( Warning: Spoilers ahead.)

Mixing personal and professional lives is a signature of Industry . In the cutthroat world of investment banking, any relationship can become transactional. Nothing is off limits—the friend who will help bury a body might also stab you in the back. The truth about what went down on the Lady Yasmin luxury yacht, coupled with a present-day betrayal, offers another chapter in the ongoing saga of Yasmin (Marisa Abela) and Harper’s (Myhal’a) best frenemy chronicles, and it doesn’t disappoint.

The desire to find out what happened on the party boat—and Charles Hanani’s (Adam Levy) subsequent disappearance in the face of criminal charges—have made Yasmin a tabloid target. Well, it turns out that Yasmin wasn’t entirely joking last week , telling Robert (Harry Lawtey) that she killed her father. But it also isn’t that simple. During an argument, Yas wished her dad would die. That then becomes a reality when Charles calls her bluff and jumps into the sea.

Flashbacks to this ill-fated voyage show a debauched nightmare, with Charles behaving in all his sleazy glory. The abject horror of witnessing Yasmin’s father’s sexual antics is matched by feeling his boner through his pajamas during his apology hug. Charles sinks low, calling his daughter “a f---ing whore” and “spectacularly talentless” (Yasmin’s “I speak seven f---ing languages” response is very Betty Draper-coded). Remember these insults: Someone will repeat the choice sentiments before the episode is over.

A photo still of Marisa Abela in 'Industry'

Marisa Abela

Simon Ridgway/HBO

With loud music blasting from the deck below, no one hears Charles yelling to stop the boat. “F---ing help me!” he repeats at a frozen Yasmin. By the time she grabs the lifebelt, Charles has disappeared from view. Cut to Harper finding Yasmin in her cabin in a state of (understandable) shock.

Harper snaps straight into “taking care of it” mode. No matter what has previously transpired, Harper is the woman you want by your side in a crisis. Whether or not Yasmin could be charged with anything is unclear, but not telling the captain about the man overboard is a big no-no. Yas needs a pal like Harper who can come up with an alibi unprompted. Well, at least until a professional time bomb explodes in their faces.

Learning that Pierpoint is monumentally screwed is something Harper wants to exploit without revealing she overheard Yasmin and Sweetpea (Miriam Petche) talking in the bathroom. While Yasmin deals with swirling guilt and grief after her father’s body is found, Harper tells Petra ( Sarah Goldberg ) the rumors about an investment bank juggling losses from no-longer-hot ESG companies and loans that need repaying. To cover her tracks, Harper suggests former-employer Pierpoint should be last.

Harper and Yas should be entered in TV’s Toxic BFFs Hall of Fame. Harper doesn’t want Yas entangled in the Pierpoint-destroying plan, but Petra has zero qualms. First, Petra tells her partner, “Friendship and contempt are just two sides of the same coin,” before observing that Yas is “comically s--t at her job” (harsh but fair).

Later, when Harper learns that Petra has arranged a meeting with Yas (who Petra calls “the least inquisitive salesperson in the Northern Hemisphere”), their fundamental philosophical differences reveal potential cracks. Harper goes full Gen Z, saying she wants to be “more vulnerable” with each other. Petra is nauseated by this prospect, opting for the “not here to make friends” reality competition approach: “We are colleagues . Yasmin is your former colleague .”

Boundaries are fundamental for Petra, something Yas attempts with her boss Eric (Ken Leung). Over a blue steak lunch in which he sinks multiple martinis, Yas stops Eric before he finishes his clumsy pass and calls him out for this pathetic attempt. After she has left, Eric has the saddest wank in the men’s room, proving her point.

Back at the office, if Eric could see beyond his ego, he might’ve stopped the trainwreck meeting in which Yas effectively gives Petra and Harper the means to take down Pierpoint. Instead, Eric blows up at Yas when he realizes what she has done. Then he confronts his former protege, Harper, calling her a “little f---ing c--t.” Eric observes that everyone is collateral to Harper, including “the only girl stupid enough to call you a friend.” All things considered, attempting moral superiority is a bit rich.

Calm and collected, Harper explains she is enacting Eric’s philosophy that people are a means to an end. It then gets deeply personal, with Harper delivering a knockout blow, bringing up to him how his family has fallen apart.

These words of war are simply the warm-up act as Eric calls Yas to tell her not to come to work tomorrow or any day after that because of the list she gave Harper and Petra. “Your friend f---ed you,” says Eric. Part of this is pressure from higher-ups due to the tabloid attention on Yas (including someone leaking Charles’ autopsy photos on Reddit), but this parting sentiment reeks of “if Eric can’t have Yas romantically, then neither can Harper platonically.”

Industry continues to hit phenomenal heights not only due to its confidence in pushing the story forward but how it reflects back on events from previous seasons. Take the bitter fight between Harper and Yas at the end of this episode, tapping into their deepest insecurities and darkest secrets. It is a sequel to their epic arguments from Season 1 that went equally as hard before they made up in the second season finale.

A photo still of Myha'la in 'Industry'

Myha'la

Back then, Yas said to Harper, “You play broken really well, but to be honest, you’re just a bit of a c--t, aren’t you?” Harper has previously thrown Yas’ privilege at her, which happens again here. Yasmin doesn’t recognize Harper as the girl on the boat who protected and loved her: “You revel in my disgrace. You revel in other people’s pain. It f---ing nourishes you.” Never has therapy-speak about narcissism and inferiority complexes been this riveting, with Abela and Myha’la landing every single gut-punch observation to underscore their bumpy history.

Harper echoes Yas’ father when she says that Yas swings between being a sex object and a victim at her convenience. “You are talentless and useless and a f---ing whore,” Harper says. If your jaw isn’t on the floor, then we must be watching different shows. They trade slaps (Yas hits first) before the episode closes with happier times. Sure, Yas was trying to keep it together after her dad’s swan dive, but never will this duo be as close as making bad taste jokes and pouring one out for Charles.

As Harper rubs Yasmin’s back, it feels like the two of them are against the world. But, like Pierpoint, the trauma-bonded friends are destined for disaster.

Why Below Deck Sailing Yacht 's Ashley Marti Skipped the Season 3 Reunion (& How the Cast Reacted)

Stewardess ashley marti played a large role on below deck sailing yacht 's season three reunion despite not being in attendance..

Skipping out on a reunion is a cardinal sin in the Bravo-verse, but that's exactly what Below Deck Sailing Yacht 's Ashley Marti just did.

The season three reunion aired June 27, and while the stewardess was nowhere to be found, that didn't stop her co-stars from sharing their thoughts on everything that went down with her and first mate  Gary King this year—namely, the time they seemingly hooked up despite the fact that Gary was extremely intoxicated.

As host Andy Cohen put it, "You were really drunk, you told her to stop. From the viewers' perspective, you were sexually assaulted. Is that you felt?"

Gary prefaced his response by noting that while he and Ashley "aren't friends," he still felt the need to defend her. "I don't think there was anything of it and I think people are being very harsh to her," Gary said of the hook up. "I thank everyone for sticking up for me but there was nothing to it and I feel that everyone should leave Ashley alone on that circumstance because it wasn't how it seemed."

Andy pointed out that if the roles were reversed—more specifically, if Gary had initiated a drunken hookup and made a comment similar to that of Ashley's "You're f--king inside of me right now"—the situation could be quite serious.

"I understand that Andy, I really do," Gary replied. "I mean, it's not an ideal situation, to be honest. I personally wouldn't do something like that. But I can't stress this enough, I'd just like people to leave Ashley alone."

Gary also revealed that while he and Ashley aren't exactly on good terms, he did reach out to her once the hookup in question aired. "I just sent her a message saying, 'From the messages I'm getting, I can only imagine what you're receiving, so I just want to apologize for that and I just want you to not think about it, don't take it too hard.'"

Still, like most of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast, he wasn't amused that Ashley had skipped out on the reunion.  Marcos Spaziani was the only crew member to come to her defense, theorizing that she may have just been too busy. However, Daisy Kelliher immediately shut him down.

"Marcos, we're all busy, OK?" the chief stew said, much to her other co-stars' amusement. "We all have jobs. We all have things to do. But we all knew that the reunion happens, so cut the busy bulls--t."

Daisy, for her part, was correct—Ashley didn't skip the reunion because she busy. As Ashley explained in an Instagram Live on June 26, she was a no-show because "at the time the reunion was filmed, all of the stuff with the bedroom scene was coming out," Ashley said. "And people were being very nasty, and I just felt like I didn't want to have to deal with it during the reunion."

The 24-year-old also insisted that she wouldn't have been able "to really tell my side of the story."

Naturally, the show went on without her. Throughout the reunion, Tom addressed the situation that led to his firing, Daisy and Gary continued to spark romance rumors , Gabriela Barragan reflected on leaving the charter and so much more.

Season three of Below Deck Sailing Yacht is now streaming on Peacock , where the reunion episode will launch on Tuesday morning.

And there will be a tidal wave of ups and downs! According to the press release, "With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury, and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht."

As the original Below Deck franchise wraps up its tenth season, Below Deck Sailing Yacht cruises into season 4 with the promise of picturesque landscapes and thrilling adventures, but the trailer hints at some trouble on board, and not just with the crew. Although, it looks like the Parsifal III has some challenges this season that puts Captain Glenn and the crew through their paces.

Here's everything we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4.

Lucy makes a grave mistake to a charter guest’s garment. After Chef Ileisha continues to leave the guests waiting too long between courses, Capt. Glenn gives her honest feedback in the tip meeting that pushes Daisy's defensive buttons. Colin defends Capt. Glenn’s comments as feedback and not critique, which only heightens Daisy’s frustrations."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 7: "Smoke on the Water" "Another engine issue emerges, forcing Capt. Glenn to modify the plan and keep the returning guests entertained. With all the uncertainty going on in the engine room, Capt. Glenn takes control and points out the crews’ mistakes. Daisy and Colin make up after their fight as their relationship grows stronger. Daisy confronts Gary about Mads and claims he’s playing his usual games. Tired of the drama, Chase plans a night of drunk Twister and hosts a surprising yoga session. "

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 8: "Cheers to Boobies" "After Chase confides in Gary about Alex’s lackluster work ethic, Chase’s trust is broken when Gary tells Alex about their conversation. The crew pull off talent show #2 for the returning guests and surprise themselves with their interesting skills. Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 9: "Love Boat" "Glenn dresses up for the guests' theme night; he hopes his participation helps correct a jewelry theft hiccup and is on top of his crew to make sure the women have the best trip of their lives."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 10: "Loose Lips Sink Friendships" "The crew has the day off, and even Capt. Glenn recharges by enjoying Parsifal III all to himself and riding the eFoil; Colin saves the day clearing the clogged toilets, but he gets jammed up when his honest opinion strikes a chord."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 11: "Let Them Eat Cake" "Capt. Glenn notices the standards are slipping on Parsifal lll as the crew is exhausted with the mid-season blues. Distraught that Colin and Gary aren’t speaking, Daisy takes initiative and forces them to hash out their problems. Gary’s confusing behavior has Mads confessing her feelings to Alex. Colin tries to forgive Daisy’s discretions, but she adds insult to injury after she drunkenly confuses him for Gary. On charter, after anchoring in their first destination, Parsifal lll nearly drags into a neighboring boat."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 12: "T-Bone with Stakes" "Capt. Glenn notices the crew is slipping on service when a guest is injured, and interior doesn’t hear the walkie call forcing Capt. Glenn to up the guest maintenance standards onboard. After Alex and Mads confess their feelings from the start, Mads is torn between Alex and Gary. Shaken after a close T-Bone with a nearby boat, Gary is confused when his advances to Mads aren’t being reciprocated."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 13: "Hurricane Bonnie" "Captain Glenn reprimands the crew as recent slip-ups are directly affecting communication and morale; Daisy breaks down when she's proven wrong about the walkies not working; Chef Ileisha is determined to prove she can complete a 10-course dinner."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 14: "Boat Load of Throuples" "Capt. Glenn threatens to kick one of the 'throuple' charter guests off Parsifal during a drunken guest fight. Mads receives a wake-up call that prompts her to dismiss Gary’s apology attempt and more seriously consider Alex leaving Gary with a stomach full of regret. Unhappy with Gary, Alex and Colin decide to follow their hearts instead."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 15: "Man Buns Has it Been Fun": "Proud of his team’s accomplishments during the final sail, Capt. Glenn believes his tough love made them all stronger. The crew celebrates their final night out and Daisy and Colin try to soak up every moment of it. Following tearless goodbyes, Capt. Glenn and Gary stay onboard Parsifal to pick up another charter season."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 cast

Captain Glenn Shepherd returns to helm the Parsifal III. This is his fourth season on the series, but he's no stranger to the ship. He's been helming the Parsifal III for over a decade.

Captain Glenn will be joined once again by Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, first mate Gary King and engineer Colin MacRae.

New to the series are chef Ileisha Dell, stews Lucy Edmunds and Mads Herrera and deckhands Chase Lemacks and Alex Propson.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 plot

Bravo offered this synopsis of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 and it gives you a good sense of what's coming in the new season:

"Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy. Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay.

"In the galley, Chef Ileisha’s cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

"Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy. With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht ."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 Episode 3 Recap: The Prodigal Bun Returns

Episode 3 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht picked up right where we left off last week, with the drunken crew partying in the hot tub. Everyone, that is, except Chief Engineer Colin MacRae who had had a long day of taking the boat engine apart , cleaning it and putting it back together. Colin understandably turned in early.

The Night Off Debauchery Continues

Everyone was still watching Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher and Deckhand Alex Propson make out. But will Daisy even remember kissing Alex in the morning? Or will she claim she was blacked out, as she did after her makeout session with Gary King in Season 3?

Deckhand Chase Lemacks must be new to yachting, since he’d never seen this level of drunken debauchery before. “I’m a redneck Southern guy,” he said, “and this is crazy for me. This crew parties!” Oh, Chase, this is just another night off on any Below Deck franchise. Better get used to it. You’re gonna see a lot of this in the next six weeks.

At precisely the same moment Madison Herrera was puking her guts out in the bathroom, co-worker Lucy Edmunds took a tumble out of her upper bunk. I’m actually surprised that doesn’t happen more often, the way these people drink. Hearing the distinctive THUNK of a body hitting the deck, Daisy ran down the hall to make sure Lucy hadn’t broken her neck. They decided they’d better put up the plastic crib guard to prevent any more swan dives from the top bunk.

“I feel like this is a public service announcement,” Daisy said. “If you can’t handle your alcohol, you shouldn’t be picking the top bunk.” Can’t argue with that.

Meanwhile, Alex was so drunk in his upper bunk, he kept trying to set his water bottle on Captain Glenn Shephard’s head, unfortunately waking the captain out of a sound sleep in the lower bunk. “Dude, what’s going on?” he asked, somewhat irritated.

“Oh . . . my bad,” Alex drunkenly mumbled. He’s going to hear about that in the morning. Can you imagine that happening to Captain Lee Rosbach from the original Below Deck ? I can already hear the “God dammit !” issuing from his mouth, as he handed the offender one of his famous tickets home .

The Return Of The King

The next morning Glenn woke up at 7:00 am to a message from Gary . “Hey, Cap! Guess who’s back? I’m out of quarantine! I’ll be there in 5 min.” Wow. All this time I thought Gary was at home. I guess he was quarantining nearby. How convenient!

Gary got a very warm welcome from Captain Glenn . “I’m f***ing so relieved,” Glenn smiled. “This boat is just not the same without Gary. My first officer is my right arm. He knows what I’m thinking. We’re like an old married couple.”

Making his presence known in the crew quarters, Gary crawled into bed with a still-sleeping Colin , who was thrilled to see him. “My boy!” Colin exclaimed.

“I’m hugely relieved to have Gary back,” Colin added. “We desperately need him on deck right now. As the crew woke up and greeted the Prodigal Bun, Lucy was realizing she’d injured her back falling out of her bunk, even though she didn’t remember much of it. She had a really nasty scrape down her spine. Chase kindly administered first aid, while Gary introduced himself to the rest of the crew.

Gary went in to greet Daisy , still in bed. “Come on, wakey wakey, eggs and bakey!” he yelled enthusiastically.

“It’s really good to see Daisy again,” Gary said in an interview. “We’ve bumped heads, we’ve touched tongues.” Gary was looking forward to picking up “ where we left off ” last season. But first, it was time to give the new deck crew some badly needed instruction on how to actually be a deckhand.

The Parsifal III Gets Off The Dock

Finally, it was time to test drive the Parsifal III. Now that Colin had the engine running again, they could take the boat off the dock and find out if the chief engineer’s repairs had worked. And so far, so good. As long as they keep the speed on the low side, everything should work. Colin saved the season for everyone. Give that man a raise!

In a slow moment, Gary asked his crew if he’d missed anything while he was gone. At first, Chase didn’t want to “spill the tea,” but then admitted that he’d kissed Mads during a game of Truth or Dare.

“Then this guy [pointing at Alex ] made out with everybody on the crew,” he added. I think he meant the “female” part of the crew, cause I didn’t see any guy-on-guy action, even as drunk as they all were.

When Gary asked, “Who’s the best kisser out of all the girls?” Alex volunteered, “ Daisy . She wins.”

Gary was a little threatened by Alex’s skills in the romance department. “It took me two and a half years to kiss Daisy . Good for him.” Yeah, right.

Back to training his deck crew, Gary had his hands full instructing them on how to dock the boat when they headed in from the test drive. “Coming late to the party,” Gary said off camera, “my main concern is that these guys were by themselves for the whole first charter . And now they’ve kind of taken their own initiative, which is great, but there’s one way to do things on this boat: my f***ing way, bitches!”

As Gary was bringing his crew up to speed, Glenn radioed for Daisy , Gary, and Chef Ileisha Dell to meet him in the crew mess for a preference sheet meeting. Time to prepare for Charter #2.

“I feel much better going into charter two,” Daisy admitted. “Honestly, charter one was a complete f***ing disaster. As long as my stews stay on top of service and I don’t get any more negative feedback from Glenn , I think we should be fine.”

RELATED: Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Colin MacRae Says Gary King Gave Him The “Green Light” To Pursue Daisy Kelliher

As the day wound down and the crew called it an early night, Gary went looking for Daisy . “You hooked up with someone,” he accused her. He pretended he was joking, but we all know he was feeling a little jealous . “Do you have a little crush on him? Opposites attract, I guess.” This is nothing, Gary. Wait till you have to watch Daisy and your “Sea Doggy” Colin hook up. That’s gonna be rough .

Back in her cabin, Lucy was on the phone with her dad back home. She told him she had the worst “hangxiety” ever. That’s a new one. First of all, most dads I know would not want to hear their daughters ever admit that. But Lucy told her dad about getting so drunk she fell out of her bunk and scraped up her back “really bad.”

“You are one of the worst drinkers I’ve ever met in my life,” he told her. “You’ve just got to get over it. Or don’t drink. There’s your answer.” Too bad she’s not on Captain Sandy Yawn’s boat. Sandy could talk her through that .

Charter #2: It’s The Sweet One

The next morning, the crew woke up to face Charter #2. As Alex rolled over in his top bunk, his glasses fell off the edge of his bed and onto Glenn below. Not missing a beat, Glenn just calmly picked them up and dropped them on his nightstand. I don’t think he even opened his eyes. I hope this isn’t going to be a recurring theme, for Glenn’s sake.

Daisy met with her stews to remind them of what they needed to focus on during the upcoming charter. “I feel like you two worked well as a team,” Daisy told them, referencing the disastrous first charter . “I wouldn’t take [the first charter’s guests’] feedback so personally. It was a really strange charter.”

“All crew, all crew,” Glenn announced on the radio, as the crew was putting the finishing touches on the boat. “Guests will be here in less than 20 minutes.”

“ Mads won’t let me hold the champagne anymore,” Lucy complained. “She doesn’t trust me.” Cue footage of Charter #1 when Lucy dumped an entire tray of champagne glasses on the deck, making a boozy mess of broken glass just minutes before the cranky (non-sailing) guests arrived.

The smiling guests arrived and introductions were made all around. These guests already look nicer than their previous counterparts. When Glenn told them they’d be going sailing as soon as their luggage was loaded, the smiles got even bigger.

Coming down the stairs during Daisy’s tour of the boat, one of the guests spilled his champagne. Wait! Is that Justin Guarini , who came in second on the first season of American Idol ? It is!!! I had to rewind all the way back to the preference sheet meeting, where I saw his name on the guest list. These days his claim to fame is playing “Lil Sweet” in the Diet Dr. Pepper ads : “It’s the sweet one!”

As they prepared to leave the dock, Glenn was feeling very optimistic. “I’ve got my first mate back. We’re able to get off the dock. Only so much sh** can go wrong, and then something has to go right. Fingers crossed.” Don’t jinx yourself, Glenn. I have a bad feeling about this.

In the galley, Ileisha was preparing snacks for the guests to enjoy with their champagne. Daisy took out a tray of cucumber & salmon and feta & watermelon hors d’oeuvres. Yum! Both of those sound delicious! In addition, she brought Burnt Butter Scallops with shaved truffle on top. It’s all about the food!

As the guests enjoyed their snacks, Glenn notified the crew to get ready to sail. He would be taking a starboard tack, meaning the port (left) side would be underwater when the boat heeled over. Thanks for that excellent clarification, Daisy !

The Parsifal III really is a beautiful boat , especially when all the sails are up. Even though I hate sailing. I don’t like feeling like the boat is going to tip over. Even though things are falling over left and right below deck (he told you to “stow,” people!), the guests (and Glenn ) were exhilarated with the heel. “So romantic!” the guests exclaimed. “It’s beautiful, honey!”

After the sail, the crew dropped anchor for the night. The principal charter guest came to the captain with an unusual request, “We wanted to know if we could possibly do dinner as a buffet?” What is this? A cruise ship?? The guest explained that they wanted to do it that way, so that “all the crew could eat with us . . . to let them experience it.” Well, that’s different.

“Wow,” Glenn responded. “I’ve never done that.” That’s a really sweet thought (“ It’s the sweet one! “), but I’m wondering how Ileisha will feel about cooking for 15 people, rather than the six she was expecting to have to feed. I wonder if she ordered enough groceries to feed them all? Somebody didn’t think this through. But I guess you can never tell the guests no ( unless you’re Captain Lee ), so he was off to tell Ileisha the good news.

Captain Glenn approached Daisy with the unusual request. “They’ve just asked me if all the crew can have dinner with them,” he told her, as Daisy widened her eyes in utter shock. “I don’t want to turn them down if there’s a way we can do it.”

Other than the fact that the chef wouldn’t be able to send up hot meals while sitting at the table, Glenn saw no reason why it couldn’t work. “This request is crazy,” Ileisha said. “I’m thinking, ‘Oh my god, can I do this?’ We can’t say no, but it’s insane.” Eventually, she agreed to serve family style and include everyone.

Tensions Arise Among The Deck Crew

For some reason, Chase had decided to argue with everything Gary told him to do. When Gary complained about all the extra equipment in the lazarette (aka “the laz”) and wanted it stored elsewhere, Chase explained that they’d used everything at the beach picnic. When Gary said they’d need to get out four paddleboards for the guests to use, Chase questioned whether four were actually necessary. “What the f***?” Gary complained to Colin , calling Chase “Mr. Know-it-all.”

“Is he getting on your nerves?” Colin asked. “Not a fan,” Gary confessed.

When Colin said he hadn’t had a problem working with Chase , Gary rebutted, “He didn’t tell you how to do things . . . [He] just doesn’t listen either.”

Colin finally saw Gary’s point, when Chase questioned everything Gary asked him to do. “[He’s] got huge potential. If harnessed in the right way, he’s going to be the biggest asset on deck. But that’s going to require some guidance and leadership from Gary,” Colin observed.

The Chief Engineer asked Gary what he was going to do about it. “Nothing,” Gary said. “Six weeks, bro.” Later when Gary reprimanded Chase for leaving the Sea Bobs full of sand following the beach picnic, Chase argued that he thought they’d been rinsed thoroughly. I guess not, though, as sand was dribbled across the deck all the way to the swim platform.

“ Gary could tell me [to] go f*** myself, I’m an idiot,” Chase complained. “But come on, bro. Don’t do it in front of guests. That’s really a sh**** dick move.” Uh-oh, friction is brewing between Chase and Gary. Wonder who’ll win this one? Does anybody want to place any bets?

Realizing that Ileisha is suddenly cooking for 14 ( Alex had already gone to bed since he was on the early shift), sweet Colin offered to help. She said he could clean the mussels if he was so inclined. “I can do that,” he said.

As the guests trickled up for dinner, Daisy whispered to one of the junior stews, “Could you run down to the master and do a really quick turndown?” Normally that would be handled while the guests were at dinner, but it’s hard to get that done when everyone’s at the table together.

When everything was ready, Ileisha quickly ran down to her cabin to change into her black uniform. “There’s no way I would have pulled this off without Colin’s help,” she breathed. But will there be enough food for everyone? And will it still be hot when it gets to the “buffet?”

After applauding Ileisha’s beautiful dinner, the primary raised her glass and offered, “A quick toast to a night that we will never forget with friends we will always remember. Cheers!” What a difference between these nice people and the two Karens from the last charter.

Admitting that his chef really pulled off an amazing feat, Glenn said, “I’m so proud of Ileisha . She’s doing a great job. It’s a massive win for me and the whole crew.” And she did it all without having a giant meltdown like we’ve seen chefs do in the past when things didn’t go perfectly. Ileisha seems refreshingly down-to-earth and calm , especially for a chef.

Colin told the guests that he’d been working on superyachts for 14 or 15 years, and “in all of that time, I’ve never been invited to eat with the guests before. So thank you, guys, for just treating us with so much respect.” Touched, the guests were “so happy” they were all able to spend the evening together.

After leaving the dinner early to check on the hot tub, Chase discovered it was cold and turned the heater on. Gary had the same idea and also went up to check the jacuzzi, not realizing that Chase had just been there. He was also surprised to find it cold, rather than steaming. Chase told him, “I just turned the heater on. It was cold.” However, Gary was irritated that it was filling up with “only cold water.” He radioed, “Chase, do you want to come up here and I’ll show you this jacuzzi?”

For some reason, Chase decided it was a good idea to ignore his boss and help clear the dinner dishes. In the meantime, Glenn wandered onto the sun deck and asked Gary what was going on with the jacuzzi. The captain also spotted a metal fitting right next to the hot tub that was covered with fingerprints. “I’ll go get a chamois,” Gary said.

After calling Chase for a second time, the deckhand finally showed up to see what Gary wanted. Gary told him that when the jacuzzi’s cold to only use hot water to fill it up, rather than trying to heat it, since the heater takes too long.

Chase didn’t like being corrected (cause he already knows everything). “F***, man, why does this guy keep throwing me under the bus?” he whined in an interview (certainly not to Gary’s face). “I’m trying my hardest to be the best deckhand possible. But all I’m getting is sh**.” Not a great way to get ahead, buddy. When your boss corrects you, just say, “Yes, sir,” and do it that way from now on. Suck it up, buttercup. It doesn’t pay to argue. This will not go well for Chase.

TELL US – WERE YOU SURPRISED TO SEE ILEISHA PULL OFF THE DINNER FOR 14 ON SUCH SHORT NOTICE? WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN THE SHOWDOWN BETWEEN GARY AND CHASE? HOW FUN WAS IT TO SEE JUSTIN GUARINI?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Recap: Distracted Daisy

Below deck sailing yacht.

below deck sailing yacht season 3 episode 4 reddit

The Parsifal III has been through hell and back this season, and it’s hanging on by a thread at this point. We pick up from the previous episode’s anticlimactic “To Be Continued” with Captain Glenn trying to avoid crashing into a nearby boat as the guests anxiously watch. It only had me on the edge of my seat for a few seconds before Captain Glenn steered the boat away and everything went back to normal. They dodged yet another bullet, but how did nobody see that boat nearby when they were dropping anchor? Like Daisy says, it’s just another day on Parsifal .

Meanwhile in the galley, Ileisha wants to wow the guests by making mosaic sushi for lunch, which is visually aesthetic sushi that resembles stained glass. If my memory serves me right, this is the first time Ileisha has served a proper lunch in addition to her usual canapés, and she kills it. I’m glad she has mostly overcome her nerves and has grown more confident in her abilities.

Down under, Daisy and Gary are very chatty with each other, and a hyper-aware Colin notices that even though Gary has “given me his blessings” to pursue Daisy, he’s still being flirty with her. Colin, babe, you are a grown-ass man so why do you desperately need Gary’s permission to be with Daisy? Gary has no ownership over her or any of the women on this boat and it’s driving me crazy how everyone acts like he does, especially since it just makes him feel like he can do whatever he wants with minimal pushback.

While the guests are outside playing in the ocean, Daisy sits in her room texting her sister Bonnie, who just so happens to be having a two-day layover in Sardinia that coincides with the crew’s next night off. How convenient! It’s sort of like that time in Below Deck Med when Tom, Malia’s then-boyfriend, dropped by to visit her and then stayed for the rest of the season, although I doubt Bonnie will be given a job in this case. Gotta love storylines that are probably produced for the sake of attempting to build drama!

Tim, meanwhile, wants more rosé for the group and goes looking for a stew, and we see a graphic reminding us that they’ve been without service for 13 minutes. He walks around asking “hello?” and ends up finding Captain Glenn, who is furious as he runs down to the crew mess to tell one of the girls that they need to be on service at all times. In a confessional, he insists that the crew always has to provide the highest level of service for the guests, and I agree. It’s their job, but Daisy is far too distracted by the recent boy problems to focus on managing her team, and Mads and Lucy are always completing tasks that make it impossible for them to be everywhere all at once.

Later at dinner, we get constant reminders of how long it has been without any stew checking in on the guests. When they want more wine, Tim begins to say that if they had “seven-star service” then there wouldn’t be an issue, and another guest goes to find and serve the wine herself. When Captain Glenn asks Daisy if she’s been consistently checking the table, she says she just did five minutes ago — a lie, it’s apparently been a whopping 17 minutes without service — and acts like it isn’t a big deal. Being available to the guests is the main task for a stew during charters, so it isn’t an unreasonable standard for Captain Glenn to have for the interior. (Also, did I black out or did Colin end up not serenading Alisa like she had requested?)

Meanwhile in the galley, we’re still being subjected to Chase’s awful attempts at flirting with the woman who friendzoned him. He tells Ileisha how nice and “cuddleable” his bicep is, and she laughs and goes along with it because she’s a pure sweetheart. If he interprets this or any of her interactions as her being interested in him romantically, I will scream.

The next morning, the guests sit at the breakfast table and then decide they want to eat on the skydeck since it has more of a breeze, as Daisy texts Bonnie about how excited she is for her to see the drama with Colin and Gary firsthand, which, same. When Tim finally manages to ask her about moving locations for breakfast, Captain Glenn, who is within earshot of all of this, gets annoyed because the guests insist on helping move their plates upstairs. Mads and Daisy repeatedly told them not to take their own plates and silverware, so what are they supposed to do? And how was Daisy supposed to know that they would want to eat somewhere else when they had just made the decision? Captain Glenn said that Daisy and the interior need to stop “dragging [their] asses,” and I do get where he’s coming from in terms of Daisy not being quickly responsive, but this situation isn’t the greatest example of his criticism. The seed for his annoyance was planted last charter, and now it has blossomed into a recurring issue that shows no signs of stopping.

Elsewhere on the boat, Gary has decided to give Mads space after their argument last episode, but it doesn’t last long since they make up later anyway because Mads says she doesn’t hold grudges. Gary is someone who learns his lessons by not being forgiven easily, but we’ve consistently seen women welcome him with open arms regardless of how he treats them. His power over women needs to be studied.

Captain Glenn decides to take the guests to Bonifacio, France, for their Viva La France night, and he has an intense docking due to how long and narrow the port is. Once they arrive, Daisy and Gary accompany the guests to town as they do some shopping, and Gary tells Daisy that he’s jealous of her and Colin. Honestly, can he and Daisy just have a completely honest talk about how they feel about each other? I simply can’t go on watching her and Colin be all cute and cuddly when I know they don’t end up together in the long term!

For dinner, Gary assumes the role of Naked Sushi Man and lies down on the skydeck bar to get covered in sushi and wasabi because the guests want to eat off of someone. To each their own, but eating sushi off an almost fully naked person, never mind that person being Gary, is so nasty it makes me want to gag just thinking about it. Even Mads, who has had sex with Gary, admits that she wouldn’t eat sushi off of him. Save for the setting, there is barely anything about this dinner that is French. Like, not even a few tacky French flags as decor!

The next day is guest drop-off, and it certainly ends with a bang. While the guests are in the saloon waiting to leave, Tim accidentally walks straight into the glass door and hits his head. When Gary sees that he’s bleeding, he immediately radios for Daisy, who is so invested in her conversation with the girls in the galley that she doesn’t hear a single radio call for 15 minutes. Captain Glenn says that this is unacceptable because not a single stew has gone upstairs to help Tim, and I agree. Daisy, meanwhile, sarcastically says that if it was a serious injury then someone would’ve physically looked for her “on this relatively small boat.” She even blames it on how she zones out the radio when the boat is being docked, which is a stupid thing to admit to. Later at the tip meetings when Captain Glenn calls it out without directly naming her, Daisy says that they can’t hear the radios sometimes because the audio doesn’t pass through. Why doesn’t she just own up to her mistakes? I adore Daisy, but she needs to stop letting Colin and Gary distract her from doing her job, especially when she’s already been called out several times throughout the season by Captain Glenn.

Next week, Daisy’s sister finally arrives to cause some chaos, and I for one can’t wait to see how she causes a shift in the crew’s dynamic.
