Replacing an icon is never easy, but when the Lagoon 450 replaced the 440, a new benchmark was created. The Lagoon 450 has taken several items ideas from its predecessor, enhanced them through owner feedback, and created a larger sail area for favorable cruising speeds.
The 450 flybridge version gives optimal visibility and access to sailing controls while providing easy access to the main cockpit and seating areas via twin stair wells. Cushions and lounging areas abound for the family and crew to relax under way or in port. The Sport version of the 450 allows boaters who wish to enjoy the comfort of a catamaran of 45 feet in a more conventional version, with a helm post on bulkhead in place of the flybridge.
As with all Lagoon catamarans the vertical windows provide superb visibility while maximizing interior space and keeping the interior cool under those overhanging eyebrows. Decks are easy to move around on with flush deck hatches. Lagoon’s proprietary gull wing bridge-deck design minimizes slamming in big seas.

We spoke with Caroline who lives aboard “Fizzgig” a Lagoon 450F. She and her family have been aboard for about a year and currently are in Wilmington, North Carolina. Builders Comments: The Lagoon 450 F design has sleeping accommodations for to eight people. The boat is offered in the four cabin four head layout. The four-cabin configuration uses the same two-cabin arrangement in both hulls. The central salon has an "L"-shaped settee and the navigation station, while the aft cockpit lounge has a "U"-shaped settee on the port side. The boat may be steered from the navigation station using the autopilot. The galley is located on the port side of the main salon. The galley is "U"-shaped and is equipped with a four-burner stove, a refrigerator, freezer and a double sink. Cabin maximum headroom is 80 in (203 cm). The Lagoon 450 F variant is offered with a fly-bridge which was produced between 2014-2019.
Brokers Comments: It is easy to see why the Lagoon 450 F were such hot sellers. They hit the sweet spot for the charter market (2+ families on board), and they have managed to appeal to both private owner, as well as charter operators and cruisers as well. This is a relatively heavy cruising cat loaded with accessories and will not disappoint under sail.
The Lagoon 450 F Salon is large, convenient, light, and airy. You have plenty of food preparation space and a galley that will support everything needed. On indoor days, there is plenty of room for the family to congregate, eat, play cards, and relax. Views through the large vertical windows provide 360 degrees views. This boat is a pleasure to sail!

Replacing an icon is never easy, but when the Lagoon 450 replaced the 440, a new benchmark was created. The Lagoon 450 has taken several items ideas from its predecessor, enhanced them through owner feedback, and created a larger sail area for favorable cruising speeds.
The 450 flybridge version gives optimal visibility and access to sailing controls while providing easy access to the main cockpit and seating areas via twin stair wells. Cushions and lounging areas abound for the family and crew to relax under way or in port. The Sport version of the 450 allows boaters who wish to enjoy the comfort of a catamaran of 45 feet in a more conventional version, with a helm post on bulkhead in place of the flybridge.
As with all Lagoon catamarans the vertical windows provide superb visibility while maximizing interior space and keeping the interior cool under those overhanging eyebrows. Decks are easy to move around on with flush deck hatches. Lagoon’s proprietary gull wing bridge-deck design minimizes slamming in big seas.

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.

I was a little skeptical especially on the deposit but after speaking with you all it put me at ease that if for some reason this Lagoon wasn’t the right one that I’d get my deposit back. I have heard some horror stories. I actually started my search with a competitor but after thoroughly reading this companies reviews I decided to part ways early in the process. I’d like to let you know that Cynthia did an excellent job with me throughout the process. I’m not the easiest person to deal with, especially when I’m out of my element. My guard was up and she had to deal with that and with a seller at the same time. I can’t speak for the seller but she did not push too hard but applied enough to get me moving in the right direction and there is nothing wrong with that.
