Aventura 37

This new model logically fits in the range between the Aventura 34 and the 44. In this 11-meter sector there are few competitors, yet there is strong demand, judging by the manufacturer’s order book: several dozen Aventura 37s have been signed. This compact catamaran, presented for the first time at the Cannes show, back in September, is pretty successful and notably well-positioned in terms of price.

Aventura: already 20 years in multihulls!

Originally, Aventura Catamarans was oriented toward the production of small multihulls for coast hopping. Then came the very clever 23 and 28 (from the Camping Cat 23 of the Fauroux group and the Diabolo 28 of Jean and Jacques Fioleau). The Aventura 20 was the first catamaran entirely designed and built by the manufacturer. But it was the 33, drawn by the pencil of Martin Defline, that truly signed the house style; the adventure of modeling and industrialization continued with the 43 by the same architect. Then in 2015, production moved to a new modern factory in Menzel Bourguiba (near Bizerte) in Tunisia. In 2017, the manufacturer unveiled its new range, now signed by Lasta Design which includes the 34, the 44, the 10, the 14 (these latter two are powercats) and of course the new model for 2021: the Aventura 37. This is a catamaran built entirely in infusion in female molds with a sandwich matrix of Airex foam, glass, and polyester. The underwater hulls are also in sandwich as far down as the base of the skegs (in monolithic glass/ polyester).

Aventura 37

What is the best value 37-foot catamaran on the market if you are buying a new yacht? Well, the Aventura 37 has to be in with a shout. Aventura was launched in 2000 and began by specialising in building smaller catamarans that are great value for money. They now build the 37, 45 and two motor yachts: the 35MY and 50MY.

The 37 was developed in collaboration with Lasta Design and is positioned against yachts such as the Excess 11 and the Bali Catsmart (38). She’s a good-looking boat with some clever touches and an interior space that is unique on the market for a sub 12m yacht. There is an option for a fly-lounge and the helm has a double seat with a winch station close to the sail plan, allowing excellent control of the mainsail and overlapping genoa.

The outside saloon can accommodate up to 8 guests; with steps to starboard for direct access to the roof, and inside, the layout has been well thought out with a saloon for 5 to 6 guests, a galley with a 285L American style fridge/freezer, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a navigation area tucked into the starboard corner. There is even an option for a grill in the aft lounge

Configuration

The Aventura 37 comes standard as a 3-cabin version, with the owner’s suite in the port hull comprising a big double bed, an office space, a dressing room and a walk-in shower. She is also available in a four cabin charter version with two or four bathrooms.

The Aventura comes with a genoa and mainsail with a traveller aft on the coach roof. There is an option for a bowsprit to fly larger sails in lighter conditions. She has a favourable sail-area/displacement ratio and well-shaped hulls and is a competent sailor. They have worked hard to centralise the weight – an important factor for the motion at sea on a 37-footer. You can expect 7-8 knots in favourable conditions, a touch more with the bowsprit option or when the wind picks up.

What you lose in simplicity with the overlapping genoa, you gain in power from the fore-sail. With an electric winch, tacking is easy in any case.

Outside Space

This catamaran packs a lot of relaxation space into her size. The aft salon has a dining table that will sit up to eight, and there is a long bench aft with a sun lounger to starboard. Heading forward on the starboard side, you will pass the steps up to the optional fly lounge. And forward, there is room for three more large cushions on the foredeck. There are plenty of relaxation zones in other words!

The boat is easy to get around with plenty of hand-holds on the coach roof.

Interior Space

The well-thought-out design continues as you head inside the saloon which can accommodate 5/6 people around the table and includes an oven, microwave, an American-style fridge/freezer and even a nav station forward on the starboard side. There is plenty of storage.

Down below, Lasta Design has done a fantastic job in maximising the space for living. On the owner’s version, you have a big double berth, an office space, a separate dressing area and a big walk-in shower. The guest hull has two cabins and a head and shower. There is also an option for a charter configuration with four cabins and from two to four bathrooms.

What is the price of an Aventura 37? How much does this yacht cost? At the time of publication, prices start from €288,500. With all of the options, you are looking at around €350-370k for a well kitted-out yacht.

Essai Aventura 37 : un catamaran compact mais généreux

Il se glisse au cœur des mouillages sans s’interdire les marinas : une taille idéale pour la croisière côtière à moins de 400 000 €. Et en plus il est vif à la barre !

UN MILIEU DE GAMME

IL SE GLISSE ENTRE LE 34 et le 44 pieds du chantier tunisien en complétant parfaitement une offre très spécifique. C’est évidemment sa taille qui a séduit nombre de visiteurs lors du salon de La Grande Motte. L’offre des petites unités de plus ou moins 10 mètres est maigre et le chantier qu’Eric Roger a créé il y a vingt ans exploite là une niche à l’équilibre difficile.

Car l’attente vis-à-vis du confort et des services ne se réduit pas de façon homogène avec la longueur et la largeur des coques, bien au contraire : les acheteurs veulent tous le confort du 44 sur une coque réduite d’un tiers. Ce qui, selon nous, finissait par poser un problème sur le 34 pieds est parfaitement géré sur cette unité de 37 pieds toujours dessinée par Samer Lasta.

D’une façon générale, l’Aventura 37 passe un seuil : mieux construit, mieux fini, mieux agencé. Pour ce dernier point sans doute le « mètre de plus » a-t-il bien aidé architectes et designers pour faire cohabiter tous les attributs d’un catamaran de croisière côtière : rangements suffisants en nombre et en volume dans les cabines, mais aussi sur le pont dans la cuisine et le carré ; assise large et confortable dans la nacelle, sans oublier un bain de soleil et un salon de pont supérieur tout en séparant le poste de manœuvre du poste de barre à la façon d’un concurrent bien connu.

UN GRAND CATA QUI NOUS BLUFFE !

Après ce tour du pont, cet Aventura 37, qui n’est pourtant pas tape-à-l’oeil, nous en met plein la vue ! Et ça continue dans la cabine propriétaire très séduisante avec son petit dressing bien fait. La petite taille se fait un peu plus ressentir dans la salle d’eau bâbord trop étriquée. Reste à voir comment il se comporte en mer et comment on se sent à son bord sous voiles.

L’essai se fait juste après la fermeture officielle du salon de La Grande Motte. Le soleil est revenu, le vent qui soufflait la veille en bourrasques s’est apaisé. Il reste un flux de 16-17 nœuds et une mer à peine agitée. Évidemment, la faible longueur à la flottaison engendre un fort tangage lorsqu’il s’agit d’établir la grand-voile face au vent. Mais la protection des passavants et les belles mains courantes rendent l’opération sécurisante où que l’on soit sur le pont de l’Aventura 37.

Une fois la grand-voile établie, nous abattons en grand tout en déroulant le génois. La puissante grand-voile aide à la relance à condition de bien la choquer. Il en sera de même à la sortie des virements de bord, sous peine d’un immanquable manque à virer. Le bateau légèrement ardent demande de l’attention à la barre, mais rend l’exercice vivant et agréable.

La transmission à drosse (câble en inox) de la barre à roue jusqu’au safran rend bien compte du déplacement des flux d’eau sous la carène. La place du barreur est enviable même si le bimini dissimule la GV. Mais nous sommes là sur une unité de début de série et il est certain que le prochain bimini bénéficiera d’un vitrage au-dessus du barreur. Il faudra y veiller pour lui assurer plus de confort et de sécurité dans les manoeuvres et le réglage de sa voile.

L’organisation des manoeuvres dans le cockpit est une bonne surprise. L’équipier a son espace propre devant la console de barre. Cela permet d’agir en équipage sans se gêner, sans avoir à hausser le ton lorsque le vent forcit. Attention cependant aux petits gabarits qui auront du mal à agir sur ces winches très haut placés. Pas de problème évidemment sur l’électrique (option).

En revanche, le chemin des écoutes de gennaker semble complexe, mais il fallait trouver un compromis pour ne pas rajouter de l’accastillage dans la nacelle. Pas de grands défauts donc dans ce cockpit mis à part l’obstruction visuelle que constituent les dossiers de l’espace détente situé sur le rouf qui empêchent la veille sur tribord et qui dissimulent la position du chariot de GV.

A 7 NŒUDS AU PRES, A 120 ° DU VENT

L’Aventura 37 a pris son rythme devant les pyramides de la cité balnéaire gaullienne. Nous avançons à 7 noeuds en remontant à 60° du vent, une vitesse que nous maintiendrons en abattant un peu plus tard à 120° sans changer de configuration de voile. En effet, nous n’avons pas à bord de code 0. Cependant, avec cette très belle grand-voile à corne, l’Aventura tire son épingle du jeu.

Notons que ses saildrives sont équipés d’hélices tripales Maxprop (une option à 7 327 €). Je quitte ce poste de barre confortable pour arpenter le pont. Les passavants comme les jupes et l’espace devant la nacelle au pied du mât sont larges et clairs. L’absence de tout panneau de pont est un bon point pour éviter chutes ou glissades qui – on le sait – sont assez courantes dans l’univers de la location.

Notons aussi un bel effort du côté des mains courantes, qu’il s’agisse de celles implantées sur le rouf ou de la structure sécurisante au niveau des jupes. Pour parfaire l’exercice, nous aurions aimé retrouver aux étraves un petit siège de veille. Globalement le pont de cet Aventura d’à peine plus de 10 mètres est un exemple de sécurité passive. Côté rangements, on apprécie les deux grands coffres situés de part et d’autre du guindeau ainsi que l’emplacement des deux réservoirs à eaux noires dans les pointes avant.

Facile d’accès et loin des lieux de vie du bord, ce qui n’est pas un mal. Reste à tester l’essentiel ou presque : les bains de soleil que l’on retrouve à tous les étages ! Je commence par celui du rouf, dont les dossiers nous laissent dubitatifs… Mais force est de constater que ces coussins qui bloquent la vue du barreur bloquent aussi le vent et renforcent le confort et la sécurité de cet roof top à la vue imprenable. Une fois dans cette enceinte fermée sur trois côtés, on s’y prélasse sans se soucier du roulis, du tangage ou d’éventuelles embardées. Un bon point.

Le second bain de soleil, est simplement posé sur le passavant tribord. Il aura son utilité au mouillage ou lorsque les conditions sont dociles. Mais gare à ne pas entraver la circulation d’un équipier. Pour un catamaran de 11 mètres, l’Aventura se dote de tous les attributs d’un grand catamaran, sur et sous le pont. Du coup il manque parfois un peu de dégagement dans les aménagements. C’est flagrant dans la salle de bains bâbord très étriquée avec une entrée de douche de seulement 39 cm ! C’est très étroit. La coursive souffre du même défaut, mais avec 57 cm, la circulation reste accessible à tous les gabarits.

C’est là une concession à faire pour bénéficier de très nombreux espaces de rangement avec de grands tiroirs et des penderies hautes, autant voire plus que sur de plus grands modèles. Attention, une nouvelle organisation électrique va condamner une penderie sur la série, mais cela reste un point fort de l’Aventura 37. Le lit de la coque bâbord arrière est de bonne taille. Notons une double ventilation (bordé/cockpit) idéale au mouillage.

Evidemment la couchette de la cabine avant est plus étroite, proche de celle d’un monocoque, mais très acceptable. La cabine propriétaire sur tribord offre de très beaux volumes avec une grande penderie et une salle d’eau dont la douche occupe toute la zone avant. Dans le carré on retrouve une configuration un peu serrée, mais avec une proposition d’aménagement qui n’oublie rien. Pas même la table à cartes pourtant de longue date sacrifiée chez d’autres. Attention, une fois assis on perd de vue le plan d’eau.

UNE NACELLE TRÈS CONVIVIALE

Nous finirons la visite par le lieu de vie principal : le carré de la nacelle connecté à la cuisine par une ouverture coulissante. La nacelle est entièrement occupée par une grande table, la seule véritablement capable de nourrir simultanément tout l’équipage, et qui fait de cette nacelle un lieu de vie essentiel qu’il faudra pouvoir fermer avec des vitrages textiles si votre zone de navigation n’est pas exclusivement tropicale.

La très large banquette arrière, idéale en navigation, cache un grand rangement, très pratique. En conclusion, cette unité d’à peine plus de 10 mètres offre pour 330 000 € HT des finitions très correctes et les prestations d’un vrai croiseur. Est-ce trop ? Attention, en effet, à ne pas le surcharger en options, car cela alourdirait inutilement son déplacement et son prix !

L’Aventura 37 est un bateau bien né comme tend à la prouver son carnet de commandes : déjà 70 unités ont été signées et le chantier tunisien devra s’attacher à sortir en 2023 près de 50 unités. Un joli challenge pour l’usine très récente installée à Menzel Bourguibna près de Bizerte, en Tunisie.

LES APPRÉCIATIONS DE LA RÉDACTION :

• Les postes de barre et de manœuvre séparés sont un atout, mais la visibilité sur tribord est médiocre.
• La plancha a sa place en vis-à-vis du carré de la nacelle. Gare à protéger l’assise des projections de graisse.
• Le dressing dans la coque privée est placé dans la coursive menant à la salle d’eau. Il offre une forte capacité de rangement.
• L’accès à bord longside est un modèle de sécurité : jupe débordante et main courante à bonne hauteur.
• L’accès au rouf par le pied de mât manque d’un marchepied pour fluidifier et sécuriser le chemin vers la bôme.
• L’escalier très raide menant de la nacelle au poste de manœuvre a des marches qui se recouvrent trop. On bute dedans.

Me Uudenmaan Pihapojat Oy:ssä tuomme pihaasi uutta puhtia! Hoidamme kaikenlaiset pihatyöt aina pihan suunnittelusta pihan varsinaiseen rakentamiseen. Halutessasi huolehdimme myös pihasi kaikenlaisista huoltotöistä ja kunnossapidosta tulevaisuudessakin. Toimimme avaimet käteen -periaatteella. Sinun tehtäväksesi jää vain ihmetellä, miten nopeasti pihasi alkaa kukoistaa käsissämme. 

Toimipaikkamme on Nurmijärven Rajamäellä, mutta toimimme koko pääkaupunkiseudun ja Uudenmaan alueella – joustavasti noin 60 kilometrin säteellä Rajamäeltä.

Asiakkaitamme ovat yksityiset, yritykset ja julkinen sektori. Teemme pihatöillämme tyytyväisiksi niin omakotitaloasujat, taloyhtiöt kuin kunnatkin!

Neuvontaa pihapulmiin

Pihatyö- ja pihapalveluihimme kuuluu myös asiantunteva pihaneuvonta. Käynnillä pureudumme kanssasi pihasi ongelmakohtiin ja muihin suunnittelua vaativiin asioihin. Pihaneuvontakäynti sopii erityisesti omatoimiselle pihanrakentajalle, jolla pysyy lapio kädessä, mutta ei tietoa, mitä sillä tekisi.

Puuttuuko pihastasi pergola?

Kun pihasi kaipaa kaunista pergolaa, Uudenmaan Pihapojat Oy tulee apuun. Rakennamme komeat köynnöstuet ja piharakenteet mielesi mukaan. Kysy myös muita pihatöitä!
