Though Campania, Italy-based Fiart Mare is well established in its home country, the builder of express cruisers and dayboats has been a relative unknown to Americans, despite launching its first boat in 1960.

It’s not surprising that the builder chose to debut this boat, with its flat and elegant shearline and high level of fit and finish, in Miami through its local dealer YachtCreators. It seems well suited for a day out cruising the sandbars and waterside eateries that dot Biscayne Bay and surrounding waterways. It could also handle a few days away in the Bahamas quite capably.

The boat at the Miami show was powered by twin 435 horsepower Volvo Penta IPS600s that offer a respectable top speed of 36 knots, with a cruise right around the 30-knot range. Other propulsion options include an IPS650 upgrade as well as various Mercury outboard configurations. When the outboards are chosen, the boat’s large hydraulic swim platform is sacrificed for a smaller, but very functional wraparound Opacmare transformer.

As one might expect on a boat in this class, the main deck has the requisite sunpad for three aft, as well as some thoughtful convertible seating that relies on moveable headrests to change lounging configurations. Diamond-patterned stitching in the upholstery was tight and of yacht caliber, while blue piping offset against an off-white background lent the 43 a pleasingly cool Mediterranean vibe.

The real trick up the 43’s sleeve, however, is interior volume. The boat makes good use of its plumb bow, an amidships step on the main deck, and those compact IPS engines to offer a proper master stateroom forward as well as a second stateroom aft with standing headroom in its forward section—no easy feat for a boat of this design type.

A small lounge to port at amidships is a good place to hide from inclement weather, and can also convert into a third sleeping area. The after stateroom can be optioned as a lounge, turning the Fiart 43 into an excellent choice for a cruising couple who is ready to say ciao, bella! , albeit with a noticeable American accent.

Best Midsize Cruiser 40-44 Feet

Winner: Elan GT5

This is going to be a tough category,” said Bill Bolin of the Best Midsize Cruiser 40 to 44 Feet division. “We have three very different but very good boats in this class — the Elan GT5, the Hallberg-Rassy 412 and the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440.”

To begin, Bolin said of the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440, “It’s the best Jeanneau I’ve ever seen.” The judging panel agreed, crowning the boat the fleet’s Most Innovative design for 2018.

And what, exactly, led to that designation? “One big reason is the side decks,” said Tim Murphy. “One of the design features is wide-open side decks all the way aft” that permit easy egress going forward without the need to scramble over cockpit coamings. “It’s a clean path ahead,” he noted. Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, it’s something we expect to see on more boats, including a scaled-up Jeanneau 490, in the very near future.

“You go down below and, maybe for the first time, Jeanneau has separated the mast compression post from the main bulkhead,” he added. “Now there’s just a compression post that runs down into the main saloon, and the main bulkhead that would’ve come to that position is now several feet forward. So they’ve opened up more space in the main cabin and taken it away from the forward cabin, where they’re arguing you don’t need it quite as much. I think that’s also a fine change. It has twin rudders, and under sail, I thought the helm was beautiful. It’s a solid boat.”

So, too, thought Bolin, was the Hallberg-Rassy 412. “This is the largest aft-cockpit model Hallberg-Rassy has built,” he said. “There is a 40-foot center-cockpit model, but this is a different hull entirely, optimized for upwind performance, with a code zero sail for downwind work. There’s a retractable bow thruster — we saw a lot of those this year — to reduce drag and get the thruster deeper in the water and farther forward as well. The boat we inspected had upgraded sails, and when we went sailing, they were ­spectacular. There was a beautiful full-­battened sail and the boat sailed very well.

“It had a slippery hull and moved nicely,” he added. “We sailed it in 12 to 14 knots of breeze, so there was decent wind. Most of the time we were making 6.5 to 7 knots. As we fell off on a beam and then a broad reach, I think this was the first boat where we didn’t see a drastic drop in speed. It performed well on all points of sail. It had a nice big wheel and great visibility forward. It would be an easy boat to single­hand. I really like it.”

“This is a mainsail-driven boat, and I think that might explain why it’s so peppy off the wind,” said Murphy. “So the sail plan is a small jib with a big main. They’re one of the few remaining builders that are giving us a true traveler but also genoa sheet-lead controls from the cockpit, showing that they’re concerned about sail shape, and rightly so. Going down below, it’s the classic Hallberg-Rassy mahogany interior, and it’s just lovely, as lovely as it ever was. We’ve talked about good handholds, but on this boat, they weren’t just good, they were also beautiful. The fiddles are these beautiful rounded shapes that are perfect for your hand. They look great and feel great. Very nice.”

That left the Slovenian-built, 43-foot-4-inch Elan GT5. The company builds dedicated lines of racing and cruising boats, but, said Murphy, “The GT5 is sort of a hybrid between those two lines. It has a high-­performance hull and a very comfortable cruising interior.

“Sailing it was pretty joyful,” he continued. “We sailed in very light air and it was still moving very nicely. It looked really good on the water. It really seemed to have answered the performance side of Elan’s DNA.”

“The company is doing some progressive things in terms of systems,” said Ed Sherman. “The electrical system on the boat has a nice, graphically designed power distribution panel with push buttons that light up things to let you know, for instance, that the running lights are on and that sort of thing.”

“I was really taken with this boat,” said Bolin. “It looks like a race boat from a distance, and as Tim mentioned, its DNA is rooted in that. But you go below and it’s very unique, with lots of special features. I like the galley-­forward arrangement a lot. You come down into the main cabin and you’ve got max beam where the living quarters are, you have a great sense of entry. Figuratively speaking, you’re not walking through the back door and the kitchen to get into the house. I think this layout makes very good use of space. And there’s lots of storage. Finally, I’d say it’s a high-tech boat, vacuum-bagged with 100 percent vinylester. There’s a lot to like about it.”

At the end of the day, Bolin’s colleagues agreed, which is why they chose the Elan GT5 as the Best Midsize Cruiser 40 to 44 Feet.

2021 Tiara Sport 43 LE

Boats sporting convertible cockpit arrangements have become all the rage. But the flip-down hull sides and swiveling, sliding seat modules aboard Tiara Sport’s 43 LE do more than just expand social and recreational opportunities. They combine with its racy, offshore hull form, gobs of outboard power, and a cabin chock full of amenities to make this boat as much a sport yacht as it is a dayboat.

Dayboat functionality begins with the ability to deliver the advantages of speed and performance to your crew. Powered by triple Mercury Racing 450R outboards, the 43 LE blasts you and a dozen or more close friends to 60 mph, ensuring not only thrills, but also that you get to where you want to go—and back—in a manageable time. I found it fun to run, and responsive whether cruising, transiting the swift current of Shinnecock Canal, or cutting just-for-fun S-turns out on the open water.

The 43 LE is available with the triple Mercury Racing 450R outboards that we tested it with, as well as triple Yamaha 425 XTO outboards .

Of course, a great dayboat proves much more than just a water taxi. It also requires the flexibility to accommodate a large group, as well as smaller, intimate groups. Certainly, size helps provide the space for separate, dedicated social zones. On top of that, Tiara Sport’s design team displayed ingenuity throughout the 43 LE. Two examples are the All Sport Module and the flip-down terrace in the cockpit.

Now enter the cockpit—via either a port or starboard walkway—and check out the front side of the module. You’ll discover a pair of lounges, upholstered stylishly in luxurious but boat-tough fabric, and with chaise-style footrests. Flip down the middle armrest to reveal drink holders, or mount the glossy teak table and serve up snacks.

Now, say you want to face aft or 45 degrees toward the flipped-down portside terrace. The All Sport Module manually rotates into multiple positions and locks firmly in place. A sunshade extends aft, offering sun cover, and a pair of aft-facing lounges (stowage within) at the cockpit’s forward end complement the arrangement. Tiara provides ladders for the terrace, the swim platform and starboard-side boarding door. Besides the swimming potential, consider that there are multiple ways to get on and off the 43 LE.

The helm deck can be separated from or made part of the cockpit thanks to a unique, center-opening, sliding enclosure ($11,100) that’s not quite doors yet not quite clear canvas. This ingenious entry combines with a huge single-expanse windshield, sliding side windows, and a wide skylight overhead that opens in its center. The double-wide helm and companion seats rotate to face aft as desired. A TV flips down from overhead.

The helm itself is a lesson in an operating station done right. It tilts aft for service, a decades long hallmark for Tiara. I did not see its dark surface reflected in the windshield, and the hardtop’s brow further reduced glare. There’s ample handy stowage for phones, keys, lip balm and miscellaneous items, another Tiara hallmark. Placement of every item, from engine controls and accessory switches to the two large Garmin multifunction displays, I deemed ergonomic.

The galley, as such, is up here too, where it serves best for entertaining, along with the grill in the cockpit. This consists of a sink, two drawer refrigerators, a Yeti cooler, pantry stowage and a 120-volt AC outlet.

Belowdecks, backlit paneling carries the fashionable embossed pattern of the topside seating upholstery into the teak and beechwood bedecked cabin. I found wide-plank flooring underfoot, with indirect lighting at ankle height, and a combination of upholstery and fiberglass overhead. The look is cool, interesting and modern. There are big hullside windows with privacy shades.

Aft, the private midcabin berth boasts a full-size mattress with decent sitting headroom. There’s standing headroom at the long settee, a hanging locker, and a light from a hull window with an opening porthole. The forward stateroom offers a queen pedestal berth and is privatized by a curtain. The hullside windows and an overhead hatch provide light and natural ventilation.

The head offers a separate shower stall, more solid teak flooring, a Vacu-Flush commode, an exhaust fan, and a lot of style.

The Tiara Sport 43 LE rates as a must-see for boaters seeking performance, weekending luxury and dayboating versatility.

Design and Serviceability

Tiara is a builder that cares about the marriage of design and function, a DNA marker I’ve noted through more than two decades of testing boats for Boating . Certainly the images do the first part justice. The function part?

Aboard the 43 LE I noted ruggedly installed fixtures and fittings that were beautifully made and functional. And an eye toward serviceability is evident throughout: I direct your attention to the helm, described above, and the way it flips down granting access to wiring and the cables for the networked electronics. Technicians will love working on this boat.

Climbing into the bilge aboard the 43 LE, through the generous access hatch in the cockpit sole proved easy. I found service points and equipment such as seacocks, batteries, genset, gyro stabilizer and more securely installed and easy to examine and lay my hands on.

Not too many boats boast this kind of performance, amenities and twin-cabin accommodations. But we’ll direct you to inspect Intrepid ’s 438 Evolution, which can also be powered by triple Mercury Racing 450R outboards (starting around $900,000).

If you’re looking for a large cabin cruiser that makes the ultimate dayboat, the Tiara 43 LE must be on your radar. With some unique features that make the deck an inviting hangout for up to 8, this boat will surely wow you the first time you step onboard.

What sets the Tiara apart from other boats on the list? This is a performance boat, built to look fast and go fast. As a result, it has a little less living space than other boats of similar (or even shorter) lengths.

But where space is smaller, comfort and quality make up for it.

Tiara maximizes a streamlined cockpit very nicely with swiveling chairs and, most noticeably, a folding freeboard that seems inspired by tiny apartment architecture.

Tiara 43 LE — The Ultimate Dayboat Meets the Luxurious Overnighting Cabin Cruiser

Introduced in 2020, the Tiara 43 LE was the first boat of the company’s new cabin cruiser series. One look at the boat tells you a lot about it—yes, it’s as fast as it looks. Performance is a primal part of the boat’s design, and most of the features are aimed at folks who want to spend a few hours zooming around on the water then head back for dinner at the marina.

Dayboat Comfort and Features

The masterful part of the Tiara LE lineup is pretty evident once you step aboard. Everything about this boat is centered in the spacious cockpit, where clever features make it stand out.

The first unique thing is what Tiara refers to as the terrace. The entire port side of the boat, from just above the waterline to the gunwale, swings outward to make a spacious swim platform .

In some ways, switching to outboard power replaces what is lost. Where sterndrives may have had a beautiful platform to aft, it’s now just moved to the side. But the platform also makes boarding easier in some docking situations and dramatically opens up the cockpit floor space. Nobody feels like they’re in the way on the Tiara 43 LE.

The next notable feature is the large center console with seating, which rotates into three locking positions . On one side, there are two seats with retractable leg rests. A polished teak pedestal table can be mounted between the two seats for cocktail hour and dining. Behind the seats, you’ll find a covered electric grill . Next is a large storage compartment big enough for your lines and fenders, plus bigger items like inflatable paddle boards.

This big console swings into three positions. The seats can face forward, aft, or at an angle facing the side terrace. With that angle set, the cockpit is wide open for moving around, getting in and out of the water, and just generally hanging out.

Looking forward, two large bench seats face aft, making the entire space the perfect place to enjoy sundowners with friends, new and old. One could imagine this large and adaptable space will make the yacht popular with all sorts of water activities, from some fishing to sunning and even long-distance cruising.

The pilothouse area can be entirely enclosed thanks to a clever retractable door system. The door is made of high-quality, ultra-clear vinyl but is mounted in a sliding frame. No snaps or webbing straps here—the pilothouse can be closed off for all weather in a few seconds. Rain, heat, or cold can’t change this boat’s course.

Inside the air-conditioned and heated pilot house, you’ll find more adaptable seating that adds even more versatility to the design. Both helm and navigator bench seats rotate to face aft to keep the captain and admiral in the social action. The helm seat includes a flip-up bolster for driving while standing up.

If those warm summer breezes have you wanting some fresh air, both side windows of the pilothouse open wide. This lets in some air and facilitates communication between the operator and deck crew when anchoring or docking. There are three overhead portlights, the center of which opens for even greater ventilation.

The galley is extremely small , and there are no cooking appliances beyond the electric grill mounted in the cockpit and a convection microwave oven mounted down below. It’s between the forward helm seats and the rear-facing benches. It’s neatly tucked into two opposing countertops on each side of the boat, so it doesn’t impede traffic flow.

To port, a small stainless sink with a folding faucet hides below the countertop. To starboard, a countertop lies above a storage drawer. Two refrigerator drawers lie on each side of the boat. You can upgrade the starboard one to be a freezer.

You’ll find a flip-down television above the galley and behind the operator’s seat. It’s handy for watching while underway or at anchor, but its location makes viewing only possible from the two aft seats and only then if they’re facing forward.

For crew members who want to spend a little more time in the sun, the forward deck of the boat is equipped with twin sun pads . The backs flip up into chaise lounges. Stainless handrails make the trip forward around the pilothouse easy. But what if the sun is getting a little too much? The aft cockpit features a retractable sunshade. Just push a button and cool off a bit.

Overnighting or Weekending Amenities

Out on deck, the boat is an impressive dayboat. Everything is centered around the incredible space, perfect for socializing and enjoying your time on the water. But a boat like this shouldn’t be limited to a few hours out and back again. Tiara knows this and has packed a beautiful cabin into the 43 LE. At first glance, it is warm and inviting.

Down below, you’ll find a large, queen-sized pedestal bed forward . Flanked by large hull windows and a beautiful custom headboard, the bed is large, welcoming, and easy to enter, with plenty of space on each side. The light-filled cabin is beautifully appointed, making a welcome respite from the sun and waves whether you want a quick snooze or a nice long recovery after a day at sea.

Midship on the starboard side, you’ll find a large, well-appointed head with a separate shower stall. A large hull window with an opening port provides lots of light and some ventilation.

There is also a large midship cabin on the 43 LE. The double bunk lies athwartship, under the cockpit. Entry is gained on the port side, with standing headroom for changing. A nice long setee lies to port opposite the bunk, and another large hull window keeps the area feeling open and spacious.

The cabin on the 43 LE is not where you’ll spend a lot of time. This isn’t designed to be a live-aboard cruiser. It is, however, great for a weekend getaway for up to two couples–but no more– who will spend plenty of time off the boat.

What’s missing? Imagine cooking a full meal for four and sitting and eating it aboard. The grill is workable but not impressive in its size and the microwave mounted in the bedroom is an afterthought. The prep space is small, and, worst of all, there needs to be a dinette. There’s only a small side table for the aft outdoor seats.

The missing dinette is no small problem since many now use these spaces to knock out a few emails and check in with the office via web conference. So while the boat has plenty of room for your stuff, staying on board for a long trip will be an exercise in minimalism.

Of course, what it lacks in the galley and dining space probably doesn’t bother you if you’re heading out to the local dock-and-dine and will be back home before dark.

Options and Layout — A Small Motor Yacht for Everyone

Tiara has loaded the 43 LE with all the options you could ask for from a dayboat. The boat broaches into the small yacht category and continues to exceed your expectations everywhere you look.

One of the secrets of the 43 LE is its incredible engineering space below the cockpit deck . Down below, you’ll find a 7.5 kWh diesel generator , enough to power the heating and air conditioning throughout the boat. There are also built-in stringers to support the optional Seakeeper SK6 gyro stabilizer , which makes rough passages feel smooth as a mountain lake.

Details are built into every corner of this boat. The engineering space makes everything easy to work on, from cleaning strainers to changing filters. The space is impressive and functional, mostly thanks to the outboard engines that free up some real estate down below.

On deck, a panel hides the twin 50-amp shore power cords in the starboard side of the cockpit. Included are electric cord retractors to keep everything out of your way. Fresh and raw washdown connectors are also included there, plus there’s another set in the anchor locker.

Speaking of the anchor locker, everything is neatly stored below decks with the anchor hawsepipe coming out of the stem. Remote controls for the electric windlass are up front and at the helm.

In terms of layout, the boat only comes one way. It would be nice to see Tiara offer up some choice here, perhaps replacing the aft rotating lounger with a more traditional U-shaped settee and dinette table. But that’s why they have the 43 LS.

Performance and Driving Experience

Don’t let the 43 LE’s size fool you. While the lounging and relaxing amenities are plentiful, it’s also fast, powerful, and fun to drive .

First, the power options. Currently, the 43 LE is specced out with the latest Mercury Verado V12, 600-horsepower outboard motors . The engine package includes digital throttles and shifters, an integrated autopilot, an active trim system, and hydraulic power steering. Previous power packages included triple 450s from either Yamaha or Mercury and offered similar performance.

All packages include a joystick piloting control and a bow thruster for easy docking. The helm seat has extraordinary 360-degree visibility through the tempered glass windshield and pilothouse side windows. The pronounced eyebrow keeps glare down and improves visibility.

The operator’s station also includes twin 16-inch touchscreens from Garmin . Engine monitoring is accomplished with a Mercury Vessel View seven-inch touchscreen mounted overhead. And there are no fewer than four cupholders at your fingertips when sitting at the helm.

The navigator’s side also has room for a large Garmin touchscreen, with controls all of the boat’s systems. There are also controls for the SeaKeeper gyro system and Fusion radio. A small glove box has USB charging ports for your electronics.

Last but not least is the boat’s performance. It’s built to move. Fast . Given the size of the boat and the amount of comfortable space on board, you’ll be surprised at just how quickly she gets up and goes. The top speed is almost 55 miles per hour, with an economical cruise of 43 mph . She got up to 30 miles per hour in only 11 seconds in test conditions. Not a bad hole shot for a boat this big.

Driving the 43 LE is comfortable and exhilarating, whether cruising the harbor or heading off for a longer trip.

Price/Quality

Tiara has a reputation for building luxury boats of outstanding quality. The 43 LE is no exception. The layout features are plentiful, and the fit and finish are uncompromising. The appointments are luxurious, from the beautiful upholstery to the glossy teak and beechwood used throughout.

Pricing data for the Tiara is a bit hard to come by. Most listings on the used market hover just under the $1 million mark, with most 2021 and 2022 models priced around $950,000. It’s worth noting that this model was introduced in 2020, and there just aren’t that many out there yet.

Do We Recommend the Tiara 43 LE?

The Tiara 43 LE blends luxury styling, speed, performance, and dayboat comfort into a well-built, fun-to-use package. You can imagine setting out for a day on the water with friends here, socializing, fishing, or just cruising the coast. The boat is big enough to extend your travels and make overnight trips, but the action is centered on deck.

If you want to stay on board longer, you might want to look into a Downeast-style cabin cruiser like the Grand Banks Eastbay 44 or the Jeanneau NC1095 Fly fast trawler. While these boats lack the performance of the Tiara, they feature more functional galleys and dining areas and more day-to-day living space. Alternatively, you could have it all by stepping up to the Tiara 48LE .  

The 43 LE fits a niche boater who wants little from their cabin space but maximum performance and wonderful outside areas. It’s an all-weather boat with an enclosed pilothouse that will keep you cool or warm, but if you’re looking for long trips or exploring remote waters, we think a proper galley and a place to eat dinner or work on a laptop are must-have items.

We love the Tiara for its appealing looks, outstanding performance, and comfortable dayboat layout. It’s a great boat for folks who seldom overnight on their boats but want the aesthetics, entertaining space, and speed that only the Tiara offers.

The pinnacle of smart design, the Formula 430 All Sport Crossover is the boat for the captain who’s tired of compromise. This spacious vessel builds on the revolutionary design of the 430 Super Sport, offering the best of everything — elegance, luxury, recreation and comfort.

At 43 feet long and with a 12-foot beam, this sport crossover provides endless amenities for offshore adventure.

Designed for Recreation

The 430 All Sport Crossover Formula boat features everything you need for diving excursions and fishing trips, including:

• Livewell: The 53-gallon pressurized livewell doubles as dive tank storage, with enough space to accommodate four tanks. The module also includes a thru-hull drain, mixer, front window, lighting and four stainless drink or rod holders.
• Fishing prep station: The bait prep and tackle storage area has a freshwater sink, large, removable cutting board and a retractable raw water hose for easy cleanup. The Corian countertop has an integrated paper towel holder with a sink and expandable, flip-open workstation with storage underneath for all your gear, tools and lines. The under-storage area also houses a YETI 5-gallon bucket and tackle drawers.
• Fish box: The 75-gallon fish box is concealed and secure under portside seating, ready for ice. Opt for the refrigerator or freezer coil upgrade and get digital thermostat control.
• Rod storage: Store your rods in the starboard utility locker with boat brush, gaff and boat hook storage. You can also take advantage of a stainless rod holder located inline and atop intake vents, along the upholstered sports station or in dedicated areas throughout the cockpit and cabin.

Additional features include four more stainless drink holders and sliding safety rails with electric outriggers for hardtop available.

Comfort and Control at the Helm

Take control at the helm, where you’ll find a side console with triple command seating and comfortable, chiseled support. Each seat individually adjusts for sitting, standing or resting upright while providing clear views of the path ahead. The composite dash has a leather-wrapped polished stainless tilt steering wheel and powered adjustable-height footrests. The YETI® Tundra® 35 glides easily from under your seat at the helm so you can keep refreshing drinks within reach. Choose the available 30,000 BTU reverse-cycle cockpit air conditioner with helm and seat-back ventilation for all-day comfort.

The composite dash and upholstered eyebrow with Liquid Black panels house Raymarine XL 16 chartplotters, with an option to upgrade to dual XL 24 or triple XL 16 displays and a more powerful transducer for serious anglers. This panel is also where you’ll find Mercury DTS with SmartCraft VesselView™ and waterproof rocker switches with metallic accents, as well as the helm-mounted Raymarine Axiom 9 display. You can use your existing cellular subscription to wirelessly connect to your Formula-provided iPad™ as well.

An iPod/USB port with Bluetooth built into the stereo system lets you enjoy all your favorite music. JL Audio chrome-finished speakers with blue LED lighting are located throughout the cockpit with two lit 200W subwoofers. Store valuables in the lockable glovebox with organizational compartments, and keep your phone powered up with the wireless charging mount below. You can also store your tablet in the padded storage area underneath the wireless charging mount.

Turn heads with sleek LED lighting, a full-width motorized glass sunroof and molded structural grid. The 21-degree deep-V hull has FAS3TECH multi-step design, with instantly responsive electronic shifting, throttle and Mercury® Joystick Piloting with Active Trim.

The Formula 430 All Sport Crossover rides like a dream at top speed, with Quad Mercury 350 or 400 Verado outboards. If you’d like even more power, you can upgrade to Quad Mercury 400R or 500 R packages.

SmartZone™ Space Allocation

One of the most eye-catching qualities this Formula boat features are the cleverly designed SmartZones around the nearly 40-feet of linear cockpit space — all of which flow continuously on a single level from the bow to stern for optimal ease-of-use. SmartZone design establishes separate activity areas, offering uninterrupted focus and dedicated seating for each. Relax in the portside lounge or the open L-shaped seating area. Open, wraparound bow seating provides sweeping views of the water and includes waterproof stereo control at the portside with the option for sun shading.

Ultimate Offshore Entertainment

In addition to diving tank storage and a dedicated fish prep station, the Formula 430 All Sport Crossover features an aft-facing double wide seat that transforms into a swim platform. You can also access the water from the spacious extended swim platform, complete with a convenient T-ladder and no hull-side entry required. The extended space provides 50 square feet of room to rinse off or towel dry, then quickly changes back into living space when you’re done.

Take it all in from the comfort of stitched cockpit seating with recessed lumbar support while you listen to music through waterproof JL Audio speaker control. You’ll find 25 total polished cup holders scattered aboard, so you can relax wherever the view takes you. Modern blue-white LED lights fill every zone, and optional underwater blue lights add after-dark fun. Choose the “sound-to-light” upgrade to get Wi-Fi controllable LED lights with multiple colors that you can sync to your playlist to create your own underwater light show.

Fully Residential Cabin

We designed the Formula All Sport Crossover with a fully residential cabin that doesn’t make you choose between spacious living quarters and a usable layout. Instead of traditionally narrow confines, you get all the comforts of home, like a stateroom bed, convertible dinette and sleeping berth with a full galley.

LOUNGE AND DINE

You don’t have to head to the cabin to prepare your meals aboard the Formula 430, thanks to the chef-inspired outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen features a large Corian countertop for prep work, a molded sink with a glide-away cover, a faucet, trash container and paper towel holder. Store ingredients in the stainless Isotherm pullout fridge and stash tools in the StarBoard® drawers. We’ve even included a Cuisinart® blender and pantry storage, so you can keep the ingredients you need for tropical smoothies and drinks at the ready. Cook your meals on the 240-volt electric grill, and you’re all set for dinner and a view.

When you’re not enjoying open-air dining, the full galley indoors has everything you need for every meal of the day. Enter the cabin through the portside door at the helm and descend three solid wood steps to the molded cabin with wood-grain flooring. The area is spacious, with 6 feet and 6 inches of headroom and windows that bring natural light.

The starboard side’s kitchen has wood-grain finishes and Corian countertops, accented by the same modern LED lighting. Galley features include a molded sink, folding swivel spout and gliding cover. Cook in an overhead microwave or tucked-away electric stove that you can easily reverse into a cutting board. The pullout stainless steel Vitrifrigo refrigerator is large enough to keep everything cold. Optional upgrades include a Keurig® coffee machine and trash can.

You can store everything you need in hardwood dovetail drawers that use a silent, automatic enclosure, overhead cupboard space, cedar-lined hanging lockers and a one-of-a-kind storage compartment hidden under the counter.

Dine with loved ones at the U-shaped Ultraleather lounge with high-gloss wooden table and cup holders. With the flip of a switch, the area transforms into a bed. You can get more legroom by raising the backrest forward. The dining lounge also features dual USB charging ports, easy access to the LED-accented showcase with tempered stemware and drink tumblers and a secure compartment to store wine bottles. You can enjoy a movie while you dine, too, on the 32-inch LED/LCD HDTV with a soundbar and Blu-ray™ player. There are four speakers with LED lighting throughout the cabin.

Control electronics, including the Rockford Fosgate stereo, air conditioner and lights and the electronics pylon, and charge your provided iPad at the LaunchPort. The digital switching on the pylon controls everything and relays important chartplotter and engine information.

STATEROOM SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Enjoy comfort in the stateroom with a privacy curtain that creates your own relaxation space. The permanent queen bed is made from comfortable memory foam and an upholstered headboard with hidden storage for convenience. Pillow shams, a LaunchPort charging system, dual USB charging ports and deep storage at the bottom of the bed are all included. The stateroom also boasts a second 32-inch LED/LCD HDTV with a soundbar and Blu-ray player.

You’ll sleep and dine even better with Dometic Breathe Easy air filtration technology, now standard on cabin air conditioning-equipped Formula boats.

INSIDE THE HEAD

The private head has a molded vanity with Corian countertops, a wall-mounted faucet and a stand-up shower area with a Corian seat, accented by the high-gloss wood-grain cabinetry. The head unit comes complete with Vacuflush technology for easy sanitation.
