The Maxi 1300 is built by the well-known Swedish shipyard Nimbus Boats, designed by Pelle Petterson and is known as a fast, elegant and clever constructed performance cruiser. Her current (2nd) German owner maintains the ship carefully and has recently equipped it with a set of sails that perfectly match her sporty sailing characteristics. The Maxi 1300 is designed in such a way that it is very easy to sail single handed due to electrical furling driver main sail and genoa. All halyards run to the helm position. She is stored in a heated shed in Northern Germany. Viewing by appointment.

Description.

The Maxi 1300 is a spacious and exhilarating yacht to own and sail. Her current owner has spared no expense keeping her well maintained and regularly upgraded. Getting underway is simple with the new Selden Fulin mast and synchronised controls. Her new Elvstrom mainsail provides ample power and all line controls are to hand in the well laid out and practical cockpit.

ALIZE has a huge amount of storage and space above and below decks. There is a large linear style galley, three cabins, two large heads, forward facing chart table and spacious saloon area. All finished in beautiful mahogany by the excellent Nimbus/Maxi Yard in Sweden.

Deck White gelcoat. The deck is produced by vacuum assisted infusion with integrated anti-slip surfaces. Sandwich laminate between ortho polyester, tri-axial and uni-directional roving and a 15 mm PVC core in all horizontal surfaces. Deck is glued and bolted to the hull. White topcoat in all exposed areas. Glove boxes in the cockpit with teak frames.

Internal reinforcement Moulded hull stiffening and integrated innerliner grid. In 2016, after shipping across the Atlantic as deck cargo, movement was noted in the area around the keel stub internally. As a precaution the owner decided to remove the the innerliner grid and replace with a grid type matrix without the 'tray type' sections between grid sections. This work is of great benefit to new owners giving peace of mind about a integral part of the yachts construction. Work completed by Nautors Swan, Benelux Reinforcement from a tri-axial and uni-directional glass in tophat sections. Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the Maxi Yachts Maxi 1300 ‘MAXIMOOSE TOO’.

The MAXI YACHTS Maxi 1300 was the legendary Swedish yacht designer Pelle Peterson’s penultimate project before retirement. Designing a boat that he could enjoy sailing single-handed he also wished her to have a turn of speed which would see her passing other boats while cruising. A performance sailer to his core the Maxi 1300 he created fulfilled that brief perfectly.

Commissioned by her owners and launched new for the 2008 season MAXIMOOSE TOO was built with a focus on easy single or short-handed performance sailing. During the current ownership she has proven to be successful in local two-handed races with her owners also cruising predominately as a couple. She offers a spacious cockpit with full cockpit tent creating extra living space above decks. Below decks she offers 3 double cabins with a large bright saloon and two heads. Built to her owners specifications, her inventory includes highlights such as:

Freshly commissioned for the 2021 season MAXIMOOSE TOO is in active use by her owners. Viewing is strictly by prior appointment.

The MAXI YACHTS brand was owned by NIMBUS YACHTS /Sweden for more than a decade. The MAXI 1300 , was designed by the famous Swedish designer Pelle Petterson; his final design for the brand under the Nimbus Yachts ownership. Approximately 50 of Maxi 1300 boats in total were built by NIMBUS YACHTS. This yacht is hull number 033, built in Sweden in 2007/08. The Maxi Yachts brand was then sold to Najad and after Najad became insolvent, the brand was then sold to new Polish owners. In the polish ownership Pelle Peterson completed one further design, the Maxi 1200 before retiring, after a lifetime association with the Maxi Yachts brand.

Maxi 1300 mainsail for sale

Maxi 1300 fully battened mainsail. Radial construction. Top quality Dimension DCXI laminate. Sail was made new in 2017 but the rig was changed in 2019 to in-mast furling. So it had two seasons of light use and is first class. Have priced low because it would be a shame and a waste for it not to find a new home.
