Aello is a classic schooner for charter in Greece and offers an unforgettable experience to its guests. A 38 meter crewed luxury sailing yacht custom built in 1921 by Max Oertz probably the most famous German shipbuilder of his time. Last refitted in 2011, offers a classic interior design and luxury aesthetic.

In 1985 Aello’s fortunes turned for the better as she was discovered by New Zelander Cameron Chisholm who did not resist to her elegant lines as he saw her laying abandoned in the river. He acquired her and undertook a lengthy restoration that lasted for more than four years and was carried out in Bristol and Southampton by Britain’s most skilled craftsmen.

More than eighty years away from its original home, Aello was at last acquired by a Greek shipowner and art lover who brought her back to Greece where she enjoys her former glory, sailing under the Mediterranean Sea and sun.

Today Aello is the queen of the Mediterranean Sea as she is the only schooner of her size bringing together such history, incredible craftsmanship, speed and unparalleled beauty.

Aello’s interior layout sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 rooms, including a master suite, 2 double cabins and 1 single cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

Sailing yacht "Aello"

The sailing yacht Aello (HANSE 540e model) hails from Germany and boasts a full suite of amenities for the ultimate in comfortable ocean voyages.

For day cruises, we can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests, while overnight trips can comfortably host up to 4 people. The yacht features three cozy cabins, including one for the crew, all equipped with toilets, hot and cold showers, and air conditioning. The spacious living room houses a well-equipped kitchen, a TV, and 230v sockets. On the upper deck, a shaded area with sofas and a dining table awaits, while the bow of the yacht offers sunlit relaxation with comfortable mattresses for soaking in the sun and sea.

Our offerings include private sunset cruises lasting 3.5 hours, romantic sunset dinners lasting 4 hours, full-day expeditions spanning 9 hours, or half-day adventures of 5.5 hours to destinations like Koh Phangan or the surroundings of Koh Samui. Angthong National Park or the Koh Tan and Koh Madsum areas are also on the map, although the day cruise would extend to 10.5 hours. Kids up to 12 years old enjoy complimentary access.

For an unparalleled experience visiting Angthong or Koh Tao, consider an overnight tour. If your group consists of 5 to 12 people, you can spend the night in a hotel on Koh Tao or in a bungalow on Koh Wua Talap within Angthong National Park. Your yacht will patiently await you in the bay adjacent to the hotel, allowing your journey to resume early the next morning.

Our packages range from 1 to 6 nights and beyond. The 2- or 3-night cruise stands out as an enticing option. Spend the first night in Angthong, the second on Koh Tao, and the third on Koh Phangan. In this scenario, there's no need to book a hotel on Koh Samui (for groups of four or more), as we'll greet you at the airport and take you straight to the yacht. Should you require it, we're also able to assist with accommodation on Koh Samui in 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star hotels prior to or following your cruise.

Safety takes precedence aboard this sailboat. Thanks to its deep and substantial keel, tipping is a non-issue. The yacht is equipped with a chart plotter featuring GPS, autopilot, radar with anti-collision capabilities, AIS transmitter, integrated VHF DSC and VHF DSC, and a satellite EPIRB approved by SOLAS. An inflatable liferaft with rescue equipment is also on board. Rest assured, the waters around Koh Samui provide a secure environment with numerous shelter options.

Our luxury sailing boat is outfitted with diving equipment for up to 4 individuals. The hydraulic platform at the rear of the boat ensures easy, secure access to and from the water.

Certified divers have the option to dive independently at their own responsibility.

Alternatively, you can entrust diving to us. We collaborate with local licensed dive shops, and our captain, a certified CMAS 2* instructor, can guide you, enhance your skills, or even lead your first dive just for the sheer pleasure of it.

Board the sailing boat Aello from Koh Samui, for a breath of pure marine air and sensations. This trip is ideal if you have never done sailing, you will discover sailing on the beautiful waters around paradisiac islands. You just have to relax in a friendly atmosphere and enjoy the scenery. A cocktail and a snack will be served during the navigation. Lunch is included also. Duration of the cruise: 5 hours 30 minutes.

The time in the program is indicated approximately. Lunch can be arranged before the first landing on the beach. The choice of specific beaches is completely dictated by weather conditions (wind and waves) on the day of the tour. To guarantee stops at specific beaches is impossible.

You’re looking for a special honeymoon dinner, or simply have the privilege to have an unforgettable dinner on the front deck the middle of the beautiful waters of Koh Samui on the most luxury sailboat of the Island.

We will pick you up in your resort in the afternoon about 4 pm, bring you to the boat where you will have a rest, enjoying cocktails while sailing.

After the most memorable dinner of your life which will be served on the front deck on our nice sailing yacht during the fabulous scenery of the sunset, you can join your private cabin with your own bathroom and air conditioning.

Next morning you will wake up on a beautiful beach with white sand and crystal clear water to have a swim before or after your breakfast served on the front deck as well.

About 11 am you will be back in your resort.

You will have time to enjoy fabulous sunsets with a glass of wine, wake up in the morning on a white sand beach and enjoy all the benefits of a night at anchor.

You can set up your own sailing program or we can recommend the most remote beaches of the Koh Phangan archipelago that you can only reach by boat.We can take you to discover the beautiful and renowned AngThong National Park with over 40 islands and unspoiled nature.

We suggest doing it on 2 days minimum with a minimum night at anchor in front of one of the most secluded beaches. Koh Tao should also be visited with its famous dive sites.

For overnight tours, we offer all-inclusive private sailing tours for up to 4 guests in two cabins or our Bareboat Owner Rep. package for up to 5 guests the with skipper on board.

Terms and conditions, cancellation policy

• Payment must be made within 3 days after reservation date and not later than 3 day(s) before tour date otherwise reservation expires;
• Koh Sanuk reserves the right to cancel or postpone a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (such as weather conditions). By agreement tour can be rescheduled to another day or company will make full refund;
• Service provider reserves the right to change the trip itinerary and/or destination if weather (wind, waves) does not allow to execute the trip itinerary;
• Client has the right to cancel a booking up to 1 day(s) prior to the tour date. Is this case Koh Sanuk will refund full payment minus bank fee;
• From 1 day(s) up to 1 day(s) before the tour date Koh Sanuk reserves the right charge up to 50% cancellation fee;
• In case of cancellation in 1 day(s) or less from the tour date/time or "No Show", Koh Sanuk will charge up to 100% invoice amount cancellation fee.

If cancellation by the customer is made before 5 PM the evening prior to the trip, 50% of the total cost will be refunded.

If cancellation by the service provider is made(e.g., due to weather conditions), the full refund will be made.

The 38m sailing yacht AELLO will be available for charter in the East Mediterranean from 13th August.

Built in 1921, sailing yacht Aello is a Max Oertz luxury charter yacht . She was completely rebuilt in 1990 and had a thorough refit in 2011 to bring her up-to-date. She is now in immaculate condition and is perfect for regatta yacht charters .

Charter yacht Aello is Lloyds registered and sleeps eight charter guests in four luxurious staterooms. Her newly-restored exquisite interior includes top-of-the-range A/V systems and her expansive deck holds a dining table for up to 12 guests. Aello will be available for charter in the East Mediterranean from €37,000 per week in high season and €33,000 per week in low season from mid-August with no delivery fees within 300 nautical miles of her base port in Athens .

She is now in immaculate condition and is perfect for regatta yacht charters.
