Pros. The quiet room overlooking the garden. Large plastic trash bag. Good wifi. Close to Bay and Ocean.

Cons. One of our neighbors talked loudly on her phone about 3 am, with her voice carrying into the garden. We closed our patio door and it was okay.

Pros. Location is a 10! Great for a young family. Beach without waves on the bay just out your door and the glorious Pacific Ocean just across the street literally a 2 minute walk. Our family had a wonderful time there. My daughter won't stop talking like a parrot after being fascinated with the birds. Great restaurant also.

Cons. Just needs an updating on the rooms, hall's bathrooms.

Pros. The staff is exceptional; kind, friendly, engaging and exceed our expectations every time! The grounds are kept pristine with the peacefulness you seek while getting away from the hustle and bustle. The ducks, parrots and koi fish make you feel like you're on a tropical island. The food, variety of things to do and the river boat are all unique touches that make us look forward to our next visit before we've even left! Not to mention best pool, Jacuzzi and spa we've ever found! If you haven't been there before, you simply MUST experience The Catamaran! Plus, centrally located to many San Diego hot spots!

Pros. The catamaran is a beautiful tropical property on Mission Bay. There is lush tropical vegetation and a distinct feeling of Hawaii. The restaurant and Bar are close to the water and provide a beautiful and relaxing setting for business or pleasure. The rooms themselves are vintage, meaning that they could use updating.

Cons. Rooms needed updating. No noise insulation from outside, although the other guests were respectful and quiet on a Monday night.

Pros. They have the best beds and pillows! We liked the separate bedroom and living areas with refridge and coffee maker, which was easy to use and enabled me to make my morning oatmeal. Was nice to have a view of the Bay.

Pros. We had a great time. Daughters wedding was fabulous, every detail was handled beautifully. We had many out of town guest that were as pleased as we were!

Pros. Great value for the money! Lots of local activities to do on the property, and wonderful accommodations throughout. It's a great place to try Stand Up Paddle Boarding for your first time! Rooms are spacious if you get the suite, and we really loved the grounds! It's a tropical paradise! Well maintained! The restaurants are pretty good, we would recommend the Sunday brunch at Oceana! Also, take advantage of the Bahia Belle cruise in the evening hours.

Cons. Unfortunately, when you make a late night request, the staff doesn't come up to your room and bring you whatever you need. Aka, we needed some late night towels and we were told to come down to the front desk (all the way from the tower rooms) and get them ourselves. This has never happened to me, especially at a "4-star" resort. In addition, I have been to many spas in my lifetime, and I felt that their spa treatment was very overpriced for the quality of massage received. Overall, we can't decide if we would come back because the positives were so great, and the negatives were so bad! We are 50/50.

Our fleet of sailing catamarans, ranging from 50 ft to 70 ft, serve our Members and guests at our various sailing locations. They all have a crew of two - four serving 6 to 10 guests, depending on the model of the yacht. Located throughout the Caribbean, Central America, Europe and the South Pacific, they continually deliver exciting and joyful experiences to Members and guests. Since the launch of our new yachting model of electric yachts. AURORA is the dawn of TradeWinds' sustainable tomorrow. With an extensive plan to gradually replace the existing yacht fleet with even more sustainable yachts powered by renewable energies, our goal is to become predominantly emission-free within 10 years.

Our yachts have four - five guest-cabins, each equipped with beds and private bathrooms including a separate shower area. Bring friends and family, try out the different models and let us know which one is your favorite! We offer our fabulous much-loved menus, which include a wide range of dishes & tastes, all colored by the destination where you are cruising. Dietary requirements…no problem! For those with special dietary wishes, we can amend the week's menu to suit your needs. We cater to every type of palate and taste, so your food is as delicious as it is visually pleasing.

*All TradeWinds inbounds (SFX guests booked into TW) will have a mandatory all-inclusive fee payable 6 weeks prior to the charter commencement date. The current fee ranges from $2,095.00 - $2,675* per person. Guests may only book one cabin every 4 years.

* Please note: Greece & French Polynesia are quoted in Euros.

All-Inclusive Fees - (2 person maximum) on a 7-day All-Inclusive cruise on a catamaran operated byTradeWinds Experience Inc.. The cruise will include all meals and beverages served onboard (except for two evening meals on the " Dine Ashore" nights). Also included are water sport activities excluding scuba** which is $100 per dive for certified divers. Fishing is not offered in the BVIs. Crew gratuities are not included in the rate and the suggested guidelines from the industry standard is 15% to 18% of the all inclusive rate.

**Exchanging your week for a Luxury Yacht Cruise is part of the SFX Preferred Resorts Luxury Vacation Benefit.

RESERVATION TERMS Bookings are Subject to availability, and can be requested in accordance with SFX Exchange Procedures. TradeWinds exchange requests can be made by calling 866-659-4472 only, and not online.

Cancellation Policy: Should SFX Member and/or Guest need to cancel a confirmed booking 90 days or more, there will be a 25% cancellation fee. If cancelled 89 days or less, there will be a 50% Cancellation fee. In the event you wish to reschedule, rescheduling is not possible 90 days or less before the scheduled departure date. This is Subject to the current Terms & Conditions of SFX Membership.

Please see our cancellation policy regarding the all inclusive fees:

  • 120+ days prior to check-in date: TradeWinds will refund paid AIF fees less $500 USD cancellation fee
  • 90-120 days prior to check-in date: TradeWinds will refund paid AIF fees less 50% cancellation fee
  • Less 90 days prior to check-in date: No refund is given

In the event of a cancellation, TradeWinds will provide a statement to submit towards your Travel Insurance claim for reimbursement of non-refunded fees.
