Your trip will be aboard the good ship Kestrel, a 30’ Catalina 30, which has earned its place as one of the most popular yachts in America. She glides through the water effortlessly in the salty air, making a great sail for a first-timer or old salt alike. We invite you to hop aboard, sit back, and relax as we show you the best of Savannah while sharing tales of the waters that surround it.

Summertime showers are so isolated on the coast that we only have to cancel fewer than 5% of our trips due to weather. In the rare event that we do have to cancel, you can reschedule or receive a full refund, so there’s nothing to lose! However, in many cases if you wait until the last minute to book, others have already booked the boat or the crew is unavailable. The 24.97m/81'11" 'Georgia' open yacht built by the British shipyard Sunseeker is available for charter for up to 8 guests in 4 cabins. This yacht features interior styling by British designer Sunseeker.

Built in 2007, Georgia is the perfect yacht for zipping between destinations, with an array of social and lounging options, as well as a convenient swim platform offering easy access into the sea, she is primed for fabulous outdoor adventures.

Guest Accommodation

Georgia is great for families thanks to her child-friendly setup. She offers guest accommodation for up to 8 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, one VIP cabin and two twin cabins. There are 6 beds in total, including 1 queen, 1 double, 2 singles and 2 pullmans. She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Georgia benefits from some excellent features to improve your charter such as air conditioning to keep your comfortable throughout your charter.

Performance & Range

Georgia is built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure. Georgia comfortably cruises at 24 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 35 knots. Her low draft of 1.72m/5'8" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines.

Onboard Georgia has a range of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Principle among these are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Another excellent feature are SEABOBs providing agile cruising and diving. In addition there are wakeboards so guests can show off at speed. Georgia has a Tender to transfer you from ship to shore.

Georgia is available upon request for charter this summer. She is already accepting bookings this winter.

Sailing Charters

The boat is equipped with a large comfortable cockpit, stereo, and bimini to keep you in the shade. There is a restroom and full galley aboard. We provide soft drinks and ice. Refrigeration is available for drinks and snacks.

Charters depart from Morningstar Marina, Golden Isles (see Contact Us for map and location details). Children are welcome but must be booked in advance (Georgia law requires that we place age appropriate life preservers onboard the boat).

A General Description of Sailing Yacht GEORGIA

GEORGIA is ex project/yacht name Ay 21. This 49 metre (160 foot) luxury yacht was manufactured at Alloy Yachts in 2000. Sailing Yacht GEORGIA is a ample superyacht. She is a modern sloop motor sailer. The firm of naval architecture which delivered her design on the yacht was Studio Scanu and Butch Dalrymple-Smith and Glade Johnson. The interior design work is the brain child of Glade Johnson. Luxury yacht GEORGIA is a well crafted yacht that can accommodate a total of 10 people on board and has around 8 qualified crew.

The Shipyard Work & Design for Luxury Yacht GEORGIA

Studio Scanu was the naval architecture company involved in the technical superyacht plans for GEORGIA. Also the company Studio Scanu and Butch Dalrymple-Smith and Glade Johnson expertly worked on this project. Interior designer Glade Johnson was commissioned for the creative internal styling. New Zealand is the country that Alloy Yachts completed their new build sailing yacht in. After her official launch in 2000 in Auckland she was afterwards delivered on to the proud new owner following sea trials. A fairly large proportion is manifested with a widest beam (width) of 10.09 metres / 33.1 feet. With a 7.32m (24ft) draught (maximum depth) she is 7.32 (24 ft). The material aluminium was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned from aluminium. In 2008 further refitting and modernisation was in addition finished.

Engines & Speed On S/Y GEORGIA:

The 3508B engine installed in the sailing yacht is made by CATERPILLAR. For propulsion GEORGIA has a single screw propeller. The engine of the yacht generates 1000 horse power (or 736 kilowatts). She is equiped with 1 engines. The combined output for the yacht is 1000 HP / 736 KW. The bow thrusters are Abt / Stern: Abt.

With Superyacht GEORGIA She has Main Accommodation Potential:

Providing quarters for a limit of 10 welcome guests overnighting, the GEORGIA accommodates everyone luxuriously. Normally the vessel utilises circa 8 capable qualified crew to run.
