Destiny 2 Choir of One: God Rolls, Catalyst & How to get it

The Choir of One Void Auto Rifle was released today as part of Act 3 of Episode 1. This new Exotic is part of the new Exotic quest called Encore, and according to Bungie, it is the “biggest Exotic mission” ever released in Destiny 2.

The other thing that makes Choir of One extremely unique is that it is the first-ever Auto Rifle that uses Special ammo. Today, we cover how powerful this new Exotic is and how to get both weapon and catalyst.

How to get the Choir of One

Choir of One was released today, August 27, at reset. It drops from the secret Encore Exotic Mission and requires ownership of Episode 1: Echoes.

How to get the Choir of One Catalyst

Choir of One features three Catalysts that can be acquired from the Expert version of  Encore . The three Catalysts available for Choir of One are:

• Destabilizing Rounds Refit
• Onslaught Refit
• Subsistence Refit

 Once unlocked, you can craft one Catalyst at a time through the Enclave on Mars. Then, you’ll need several hundred weapon kills to unlock it. Typical farming methods such as Shuro Chi or the opening section of Grasp of Avarice will speed things along.

Choir of One Crafted God Rolls & Perk Pool

The crafted Choir of One Exotic auto rifle can equip the following traits:

• Barrel : Extended Barrel, Arrowhead Brake, Hammer-Forged Rifling, Full Bore, Corkscrew Rifling, Polygonal Rifling, Chambered Compensator, Smallbore, Fluted Barrel.
• Magazine : Light Mag, Flared Magwell, Alloy Magazine, Accurized Rounds, Steady Rounds
• Stock : Composite Stock, Hand-Laid Stock, Fitted Stock, Short-Action Stock.
• Catalyst Trait : Destabilizing Rounds Refit, Onslaught Refit, Subsistence Refit.

Handling and Stability are always lovely on a weapon, especially in PvE, where other stats like Range don’t matter as much, so Composite Stock and Fluted Barrel are our picks. Flared Magwell is also nice for the bump to Reload Speed.

Subsistence and Onslaught both have their unique use cases. Subsistence allows you to spam more shots, mainly the Wyvern shot, as your gun will auto-reload five bullets back into the magazine, which is the amount of ammo the Wyvern shot takes.

Onslaught , on the other hand, boosts the ADS variant of the gun, allowing it to mow through trash mobs a little quicker. On top of this, if Onslaught is active, it should boost the RPM of the Wyvern shot as well, improving the burst damage. Both perks are excellent, and you should choose what fits best with your playstyle.

Again, Handling and Stability are essential in PvP. Still, Range isn’t to be ignored either, so we opt for Fluted Barrel, Accurised Rounds, and Short-Action Stock to boost the Handling by 30 and provide a decent bump to the Range of the weapon.

The perks are pretty disappointing here as this weapon is geared more towards PvE content, but Onslaught is the best of a bad bunch as the RPM increase may net you some multi-kills you might’ve missed before.

How good is Choir of One

Choir of One features the following unique Exotic perks :

• Command Frame : Fires extended-range, heavy-caliber projectiles at a reduced rate of fire. Deals increased precision damage when aiming down sights.
• Fanatical Lance : Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid. Hip firing launches multiple projectiles at once in a slower moving spread pattern. Projectiles detonate on impact.

As a Special ammo Auto Rifle, Choir of One is the first of its kind. It joins Rocket Sidearms and Wave-Frame Grenade Launchers in the Special ammo ad-clear niche. But it can also behave like a Shotgun, blasting Majors and dealing remarkable damage.

Its aim-down sights (ADS) mode behaves like a typical Auto Rifle but at a much lower RPM. That mode is less satisfying but more ammo efficient, allowing you to ADS lower HP enemies. However, the star of the show is its Wyvern hip-fire mode . Some testing has shown that this weapon does incredibly high damage for a Special Weapon, making it not only a good weapon to deal with chunking beefy targets but also capable for boss DPS as a backup option, something that Rocket Sidearms and Wave-Frame Grenade Launchers can’t do.

Overall, Choir of One can do outrageously high damage with its Wyvern-Shot mode. Its ADS mode may leave some slightly underwhelmed, but it should be understood that it is a longer-range tool to pick off weaker targets, supplementing the up-close and personal Wyvern burst damage.

Learn how to unlock the Choir of One exotic auto rifle in Destiny 2, including details about its exotic perks, stats, exotic catalysts, and weapon lore.

As Destiny 2 continues its episodic journey through Echoes, Act 3 promises a wave of new content. With a focus on the Vex storyline reaching its climax, players can anticipate the arrival of new legendary weapons, significant story developments, and the highly-anticipated Encore exotic mission, described by Bungie as one of Destiny’s biggest exotic missions to date .

One of the highly anticipated new additions is the Choir of One, the new craftable void exotic auto rifle that uses Special ammo. If you watched the gameplay teaser for Echoes Act 3, you may have noticed that this weapon essentially fires Wyvern bullets.

How to get the Choir of One Exotic Auto Rifle in Destiny 2

The Choir of One exotic auto rifle is tied to the newly Encore exotic mission. To unlock this exotic, you need to complete this new exotic mission, defeat the final boss, and loot the chest.

In order to unlock Choir of One at the end of the mission, you need to complete all the story quest steps of the previous acts.

Step 1: Visit Failsafe

To start, you need to visit Failsafe at the H.E.L.M.. She will give you a new questline called “A Rising Chorus: Act III”.

• “Defeat the Conductor’s forces in the Exotic mission ‘Encore,’ launched from the H.E.LM.”

After getting the new quest, launch the exotic mission Encore from the social space H.E.L.M.

Step 2: Complete the Encore Exotic mission

The next step is pretty straightforward! You need to complete the new Encore Exotic mission in its entirely, beat the final boss and loot the chest. Here’s a quick overview of this new mission:

• Encore Exotic mission has two major boss encounters. The first boss encounter has two bosses: Eexonios, Pledged to Yirix, and Iziira, Pledged to Yirix. Eexonios is a Subjugator and Iziira is a Tormentor.
• The second and final boss encounter has a boss called Parados, Choral Mind.
• There are several jumping puzzles in this exotic mission.

Step 3: Choir of One Unlocked

After defeating the final boss Parados, Choral Mind, loot the final chest that spawns in the arena. You’ll get a bunch of legendary items as well as the brand-new Choir of One exotic auto rifle.

The new Choir of One exotic auto rifle is craftable, giving players the option to choose from a variety of different perks and customize them to their preferences.

Like many exotic weapons in Destiny 2, the Choir of One comes with an exotic catalyst that enhances its already base perks and stats. You can find all three refits of the Choir of One exotic catalyst detailed below.

• Destabilizing Rounds Refit: Final blows cause nearby targets to become volatile.
• Onslaught Refit: Final blows with this weapon increase its rate of fire.
• Subsistence Refit : Defeating targets partially reloads the magazine from reserves.

The Vex Goblin waded into the lake of radiolaria with the same unerring purpose to which it approached all things. As directed, as designed. Its own mass of radiolaria crawled and coiled through its body like worms through the thick soil of Nessus. Its Mind was elsewhere, the great roots of thought buried deep into it and every other Vex enslaved beneath it.

The soft shimmer of white enveloped the Vex up to its knee joint. Then a hand reached out to it. The Vex felt a press against its cranium. A thumbprint. An activation code. Biometric data. The radiolaria inside it lit up with activity and noise, burning through its metal body.

Then, disarticulated. It trembled and fell apart; limbs unjoined, chassis cracked and curled. A globule of radiolaria disseminated throughout the lake, reclaimed.

But something called it to rise.

Then, rejoined. Its pieces slotted together and moved flawlessly. It rose steadily, balanced, formed with utter perfection. The radiolaria slid from its body in droplets that separated, reformed, separated, reformed.

Each one a mind. Each mind a thought.

The Vex felt the soft split of its own mind as that thought sharpened in its cranium. A burst of light. A sharp spark.

It looked to its creator and bowed.”

Refit guide: Top tips for a quick superyacht refit

Whether buying a second-hand yacht or looking to refresh the interior of an existing one, few owners want to undergo a lengthy refit process. “Usually we’ll get an order in January, and the owners want to be back on the water by June, if not Easter,” says Francesca Muzio, of Italian design studio FM Architettura d’Interni . When speed is a priority, it’s always a challenge for designers and shipyards. “A refit is no less involved than a new-build project,” says yacht designer Sam Sorgiovanni . “You have to understand what’s there and how to work with it before you start on design solutions.” You also have to retain “the soul of the boat”, says Laura Pomponi, of Luxury Projects . You don’t want to strip everything out and be left with something unrecognisable. So how does one overhaul a yacht interior , within a limited timescale, without affecting the boat’s overall character? Read these seven rules to find out...

Look at the basics

“Never underestimate how much of an impact adding in new fabrics and loose furniture has on the feel of a boat,” says Charlie Baker of RWD . “When you board a yacht after a refresh, you realise how tough the impact of salt and sunlight really are.” When time is short, you’ll need soft furnishings and fabric options available at short notice, but, says Pomponi, “designers are often strategic in only showing these options to clients”. New artworks and decorative accessories are an easy addition too. “They’re an instantly impactful way to add a personal touch.”

Avoid major structural changes

If speed is your priority in a refit, avoid altering major structures such as steel bulkheads, which lead to engineers and possibly classification organisations and a lengthier process. If structural changes are compulsory, “planning is paramount”, says Baker. “On Ilona [pictured], which went through fairly major changes last year, the work in the yard was done quickly but the planning and preparation was done well in advance to minimise the time the boat was out of action.”

Play with light

Lighting tech has come a long way, and modernising systems can enhance the feel of a yacht. “If there are halogen spots, introducing LED technology, string lights and multiple dimmable circuits can create a totally different ambience,” says Pomponi. Baker adds that one should also consider updating the flow of natural light. “Window treatments can make a room feel completely different. How a sheer curtain or blind reacts with light through a porthole or window can soften a formerly stark room,” he says.

Work with what you have

“Furniture and joinery can be retained but modernised,” says Pomponi. “A high-gloss dark panel could be treated with a multi-step varnish removal and lime-washing process, for instance, and brass fittings or hardware can be turned into silver or chrome. On the refit of Nero [pictured], we used a product that gave an aged patina look to the portholes for a new look.”

Adapt, don’t alter

A smart designer will look at adapting existing elements rather than stripping them out. Muzio references a past project, where mother-of-pearl veneers were used throughout, to the dismay of the owner. “Re-veneering is a big job, but we found a way to cover the panels with leather instead.” One can also look at adapting how spaces are used. “Refits often involved modernising a boat to focus more on a more relevant lifestyle. In the past we have turned a library into a corner for amenities for the spa .”

Work with the right team

According to Baker, a dedicated owner’s rep is essential on any project. “They can make all the difference to a project running smoothly and efficiently.” And Sorgiovanni says choosing a yard with experience in refits is also vital. “Things can go wrong if you work with a second-tier yard. I would always recommend using some of the traders that built the vessel in the first place.”

Look at the technology

Nothing moves faster than tech , and it’s not unusual to find systems significantly out of date. Replacing televisions or speakers is easy, but if you’re looking to update the systems entirely, Baker recommends using a specialist audiovisual and tech consultant. “As well as ensuring you have something that meets your requirements now, they’ll ensure a system can be put in place with added flexibility, so your yacht can also be ready for the next gen of tech when the time comes.”

Yacht Refit: A Guide

Yacht ownership is a great pleasure, but these magnificent vessels also require a great deal of upkeep, with regular periods in the yard required for yacht refit or maintenance. Whether conducting a major overhaul or just making a few cosmetic and systems updates, a yacht refit is a large undertaking, requiring excellent scheduling and budgeting, as well as excellent management of participating crew and contractors.

Finding a highly experienced, professionally run shipyard will go a long way towards heading off costly delays or possible conflict between the yacht and the shipyard, but there’s a great deal the captain and crew can do to ensure a successful, speedy yacht refit yard period.

1. Once the captain and crew have drawn up an extremely thorough yacht refit yard work list, submit the work list to numerous shipyards for quotes. Be wary of jumping on the cheapest quote, drill down into why the quote is lower. Ask around for shipyard recommendations, and be quick to note if the shipyard quote process has any errors, is revised numerous times, or simply doesn’t reflect good customer service.

2. The process must be organized by a strong project manager who is there from the start to the finish of the yard period. This is most often the captain, but can also be a trusted external project manager, and the yacht management company may also be involved. The yacht’s engineer is also heavily involved in the shipyard project management, normally holding the 2IC role onboard. The shipyard will also assign their own project manager to collaborate with the yacht’s designated person throughout the yacht’s refit.

3. Budgeting is of extreme importance. Yacht refit budget overruns are common during shipyard periods – partly due to unknown faults being uncovered during the work, but also due to poor time management or installation problems and delays. Work should be meticulously budgeted, with a running total with breakdowns to indicate where the budget has blown out (and where possible efficiencies could be gained.)

4. Shipyard insurance is imperative. The contract details must be rock-solid to apportion where liability falls for lateness, budget overruns, or any damage caused in the shipyard. Be sure to check for conditions involving ‘hot work’ such as welding, as some policies do not cover this.

5. Fires have occasionally been known to happen in shipyards due to the nature of the work, so ensure that the shipyard’s firefighting capabilities are top-notch, carry out crew fire drills extremely regularly, and insist on crew vigilance and a 24/7 watch schedule throughout the yacht refit.

6. Yacht refits can run over-time due to unexpected complications, so be aware of this when planning any charter bookings, yacht transport, or boss trips around this time.

7. Organize your crew wisely during the shipyard time. Shipyard periods exert different demands on different crew departments. For the engineers, it’s generally their busiest time of the year, while the interior team is largely responsible for protecting the yacht from damage during the refit and doing stock takes etc, and therefore has more downtime. There is often time for chefs, deckhands, and stewardesses to take vacation during a shipyard period, or enroll in professional courses. Your shipyard project manager will generally be able to tell you how many crew will be required to assist with the work being carried out by their team onboard. However, bear in mind that shipyard staff will not be willing to oversee the work of private contractors who don’t work for them— that must be done by your crew.

8. Have the contractor and dayworker admission process streamlined for your yacht refit. A common delay in shipyards is in the mornings, when dayworkers and external contractors can get held up at the gate because they aren’t listed on the day’s admissions. Have all of this organized before time, as well as contracts ready for the dayworkers to sign.

9. Get to know the shipyard where your yacht is being refit. From building good relationships with the shipyard staff to knowing the facilities, emergency services and security provisions of the yard, the better informed you are, the better your yard period will be. By choosing the right shipyard and managing the yard period well, your yacht will be back on the water on time, on budget, and even more beautiful than ever.

Exercise in our welcoming health and fitness center. The Martin Wellness Center is home to many of Gritman’s exercise programs for all ages and abilities. At the Martin Wellness Center, our certified, highly trained staff can help you meet your wellness goals. We offer a variety of classes, both on the floor and in our therapy pool, geared toward helping you achieve optimum health and wellness. The center also offers exercise equipment for your use.

All services offered at the wellness center are self-pay. Your insurance will not be billed.

Registration

To use the Martin Wellness Center, you must return the following:

• A completed application
• An informed consent and release of liability form
• A signed waiver from your physician

The waiver form can be sent from the Martin Wellness Center staff to your physician’s office at your request. Ask our staff for assistance. We are happy to help.

Exercise Programs

The Ron & Janie Nirk Therapy Pool is ideal for non-weight-bearing exercise, remaining at a consistent 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Patrons can use the pool during independent swim times during our hours of operation. The center also offers a therapy spa for a post-workout soak.

Medical Clearance from your PCP is required to use the facility. Martin Wellness Center’s pool is a therapy pool and therefore not safe for recreational use by children. All children must be referred by a physician and accompanied by an adult for therapeutic purposes only. Diapers designed for pool use are required for those who need them.
