Residence at Sea

Kenshō’s interior spaces, connected by a central elevator and feature staircase, are made to feel even more spacious with lofty ceiling heights, large windows, and exceptionally wide walkways which connect the different living areas, rendering them almost open plan when doors are opened.

Kenshō’s swim deck is the kind of place you’ll want to spend all day in, whether you’re making a splash in the glass-fronted, 6m sea-level swimming pool, working out in the gym, diving into the sea from the swim platform, or simply sprawling out on one of the sofas.

Indoor-Outdoor Sun Deck

The spectacular sun deck, crowned by a unique skylight on the top and offering a glass-fronted Jacuzzi and island bar, has forward and aft zones that are connected by one of the yacht’s characteristic wide walkways. Glass windbreak doors can be shut, allowing total protection from the elements, or left open, allowing guests to enjoy the breeze – and uninterrupted views - through the centre of the yacht.

Kenshō’s spectacular living room takes its inspiration - and location - from a ship’s “wheel house,” with floor to ceiling glass offering spectacular panoramas forward. Custom furniture can be easily re-configured, setting the stage for a variety of social events.

The Master suite is a zen-like retreat with four interconnecting rooms: a lounge/media room with curved sofa, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom with a central tub, all of which are inspired by Asian myth and modern craftsmanship. Named after the Japanese term for being at one with nature, Kenshō features a reflective turquoise hull and elegant exterior lines by Azure Yacht Design and Archineers Berlin. Spread across four decks, the stylish interior by Jouin Manku is characterized by “smooth and organic shapes” and natural materials (teak, marble, onyx, and so on). Most notably, studio cofounder Sanjit Manku eschewed a conventional yachting layout in favor of high-volume spaces and vast sea views. The team also moved the engines to a special “tank” deck to create more space for guest cabins and amenities.

Kenshō wasn’t the only vessel making waves on Saturday, of course. Vitters’ Alea was named Sailing Yacht of the Year. The 184-footer is equipped with a sleek hull and a distinctive reverse bow that ensures greater speed and efficiency on the high seas. The 90-year-old superyacht Marala also scored first place for Rebuilt Yachts. The 1930s behemoth served as both a family yacht and WWII warship before London designer Nathan Hutchins of Muza Labs treated her to a thoughtful modern makeover. The winner of the Refitted Yachts, meanwhile, was a revamped 208-foot schooner called Athos .

Admiral Yachts delivers 75m flagship Kenshō

The 75 metre Admiral motor yacht Kenshō has been delivered by the Italian Sea Group after launching in November last year. 

Built in steel and aluminium to a design by Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture , Kenshō is the new flagship of the Admiral fleet superseding its former flagship Planet Nine by 0.8 metres in length. 

“ Kenshō combines the best concepts of residential design with those of yacht design, to create a brand-new lifestyle at sea," the owner said. French agency Jouin Manku was appointed to design the interior concept and layout. Key features includes a large beach club swimming pool that faces aft, giving guests “mesmerising views at the same level as the ocean”. Elsewhere, the unconventional positioning of the wheelhouse affords the upper deck with a unique living area forward.

The main saloon offers ample comfortable seating for up to 16 guests, flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows port and starboard, with a large TV screen and artwork forward. The area leads through to seating and an al fresco dining area on the forward main deck. 

Accommodation is for 16 guests in eight cabins, comprising a full 13-metre beam master’s suite and seven en suite staterooms. Crew accommodation is for 20 in 12 cabins.

Kenshō is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system which allows a top speed of 15.4 knots and a range of 4,350 nautical miles. She will be available to charter with Y.CO in the summer of 2022.

Timmerman Yachts completed the building motor yacht OLSTEN in 2004. Accordingly, she has the distinction of being built country of Russia. OLSTEN is a yacht which had design completed by Moscow Shipyard and Moscow Shipyard. This superyacht OLSTEN is able to accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers all told aboard together with around 6 professional crew. Finished and launched in 2004 the comparatively recent interior design and decor demonstrates the proficiency which are originating from Moscow Shipyard and the owner who commissioned the yacht.

A fairly shallow draught of 1.7m (5.56ft) affects the number of harbours she can berth in, taking into account their particular depth.

The 3406E engine installed in the motor yacht is produced by CATERPILLAR. Connected to her Caterpillar engine(s) are twin screw propellers. The engine of the yacht creates 600 horse power (or 442 kilowatts). She is fitted with 2 engines. The total thrust for the yacht is accordingly 1200 HP or 884 KW.

Providing room for a limit of 12 visiting passengers spending the night, the OLSTEN accommodates them in luxury. She also has room for circa 6 expert crew members to operate.
