Kenny Chesney’s boat obsession has been a multi-year journey and he certainly loves living the “no shoes” lifestyle. There has been plenty of internet controversy over Kenny’s boats. Some sources reported that the boat featured in his “Come on Over” music video was a loaner boat and that Kenny still owns a Sea Ray boat. Other sources report that his latest boat is a 63’ Riva Virtus that features 2 large sundecks, 4 cabins, and reportedly has a price tag new of over $3M.

After some research, it appears that Kenny sold his Sea Ray boat to a Yacht Charter company in the Virgin Islands and currently does own a Riva Yacht that is indeed featured in his music video. However, Kenny’s boat is the much larger Riva Domino that has a size range of 86′ – 92′. The boat is a sleek stunner in the music video and a new version of this boat fully loaded is over $6M. Kenny Chesney’s Come Over Music Video (Featuring his 86′ Yacht)

The music video was filmed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with some ocean scenes near Miami Beach, Florida. Chesney released the video in 2012 and has described the music video as a “classy booty call.” His 86′ Riva Yacht plays a leading role in this video.

The lyrics for “Come Over” were written by Sam Hunt, Shane McAnally, and Josh Osborne. The video features a cameo from Kenny’s dog, Poncho, standing on a paddleboard with Chesney.  Courtney McCann (a model from Bakersfield, CA) stars as Kenny’s love interest in the music video.

Sammy Hagar Provides Proof of Kenny Chesney’s Boat…

Rock star Sammy Hagar tweeted a photo of Chesney reaching from one yacht to another for a plate of chef Emeril Lagasse’s ribs (Tweeted on Feb 12, 2017).  This provides some photo proof that Kenny does own the boat featured in his music video.  Apparently, Sammy Hagar and celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse were cruising off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., (Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017) during Emeril’s charity fishing tournament.They ran into Kenny Chesney on his multi-million-dollar Riva yacht.

Sammy made the  following post on his website, “An hour into the boat ride we saw this big gorgeous gunmetal gray 86ft Riva with a few beautiful people on it—I looked closer and noticed it was Kenny Chesney! I screamed at him and he stopped, backed up, and we had a couple high-fives, a toast, and Emeril handed over to Kenny a big plate of barbecue ribs and a jar of about a half pound of beautiful caviar—can you believe this sh*t!? We said goodbye and then Kenny showed up at the event later that night at the Marina Club House, and jumped on stage to sing a really soft version of “Eagles Fly.” Vic and I played an acoustic set for over an hour, and Kari joined in for “One Sip,” “When the Sun Don’t Shine,” and “All We Need Is An Island”—it was an unbelievably satisfying and successful event!  Afterwards, Kenny hung out and we polished off a couple bottles of Da’ kine, what a night!”

Kenny’s professed love of boats goes way back in his career.  He recorded a song titled ‘Boats’ for his ‘Lucky Old Sun’ album.  The song lyrics include, “”vessels of freedom/harbors of healing”.  Kenny grew up in Knoxville, TN in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains and believes that a prior ancestor must have been a beach bum.   Kenny stated in a prior interview, “ I’ve always felt a certain sense of peace and freedom on the boat that I don’t get on the tour bus. On the road, there’s always something to do and some place to be. My life is full of expectations. But on the boat, I can take a deep breath and be myself. ”

Kenny used two own two Sea Rays over 50′ and one of his boats “Take It Easy 2” is now a  rental Yacht .  The website for the Yacht charter shows the below image and description of the two boats.

Country Music Star Kenny Chesney Spotted In Maine This Weekend

Maine has seen an increase in recent years in the number of celebrities visiting Vacationland. From NFL owners and players to Hollywood A-listers, the Pine Tree State seems to be attracting more famous people than ever before. Well add a country music superstar to that list, as Kenny Chesney was spotted visiting Kennebunkport this past weekend.

Shared on Facebook by Nadine Turner Hodges in a group called It's A Kenny Chesney Thing...You Wouldn't Understand , Hodges and her family were able to snap a photo with Chesney during their stay at The Colony Hotel. As it turns out, it wasn't the only Chesney sighting over the weekend in Kennebunkport. Others took to Facebook claiming to see Chesney on a yacht near Gooch's Beach while others claimed Chesney and family spent some time indulging at the Arundel Wharf restaurant and Alisson's restaurant over the weekend.

Despite the pandemic, Maine has had several celebrity sightings this summer including New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft amongst others. As other states see infection rates spiking while Maine's rate stays relatively low, it wouldn't be surprising to see more celebrities spend some vacation time in Vacationland.

Kenny Chesney Visits Kennebunkport, ME, and We Think it Should Now Be Called Kenny-bunkport

Despite the global pandemic, Vacationland continues to live up to it's name! Celebrities have had some unexpected time off from touring and filming so what have they been doing? Many have been flocking up north to enjoy what Maine has to offer; good food, gorgeous scenery, and down to earth people.

Robert Kraft was spotted at Barnacle Billy's over Memorial Day Weekend.

Martha Stewart was chillin' at Bob's Clam Hut in Kittery over the 4th of July 

And then this past weekend you'll never guess who was gallivanting around Maine: KENNY CHESNEY! He was in Kennebunkport no less! We think the town should officially change their name to Kenny-bunkport. Who do I talk to about this?

This photo was shared on Facebook by a nice lady named Nadine Turner Hodges. She captioned it " Another reason to go to the Colony Hotel Kennebunkport, Maine:View, Wonderful Service and You Can Hang Out With Kenny Chesney!"

I can't tell who is with Kenny and who is a new friend but I feel like that is Kenny's vibe. :)

But Kennebunkport isn't the only place in Maine that Kenny graced with his presence. Others posted on Facebook claiming to see Kenny on a yacht near Gooch's Beach. And then he posed for a pic with an employee at the Arundel Wharf restaurant. The young lad admits he was on the sweaty side after his work shift but he wasn't about to pass up a photo opp with Kenny Chesney! Can ya blame him?

It is always exciting to see an A-lister enjoying the places that we are so proud of and call home. Come back soon, Kenny!

Kenny-Bunkport: Country Star Chesney Spotted in Maine, Sending Locals ‘Fangirling'

No word if kenny bunkport, the town’s anthropomorphic social distancing lobster mascot, was steamed not to be the only kenny in town, by dustin wlodkowski • published july 21, 2020 • updated on july 22, 2020 at 11:37 am.

It really puts the “Kenny” in Kennebunkport.

Over the weekend, a few lucky people in that southern Maine town caught glimpses of country music star Kenny Chesney.

According to staff at various restaurants and businesses, Chesney frequented Alisson’s Restaurant, The Colony Hotel and The Arundel Wharf Restaurant -- at minimum.

Some of those people snagged a picture with him, including Ally Lambert.

“I just happened to pick up a shift, so one of my coworkers could celebrate his birthday,” she explained of the impromptu introduction at Arundel Wharf, adding that she “saw some guy sitting at the bar and I said, that kind of looks like Kenny, because I had just watched him on TV like two nights before at the 'Best of ACMs.'”

Lambert didn’t think it could possibly be the person she saw at her first-ever “big concert” at Gillette Stadium in 2008.

But sure enough, within a few minutes, a bartender pulled her aside and said, “You realize Kenny Chesney’s sitting at our bar, right?”

That sent Lambert “fangirling,” to use her word, and prompted her to politely ask her manager and then Chesney if she could grab the snapshot.

“He was so kind, you hope celebrities are going to be nice and more often than not you hear stories -- they don’t want to take pictures with their fans, they can’t be bothered. But he took pictures with everyone who asked that night,” she said.

As for why Chesney was in Kennebunkport during the pandemic, NECN and NBC10 Boston turned to Kenny Chesney superfan Kim Charland, a Mainer who lives about 20 minutes from the sightings of her idol and has seen roughly 20 of his shows, meeting him twice.

She believes Chesney was visiting friends in the area, a story that lines up with an interview posted on Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion Facebook page in 2018 , in which he says his “boat captain, Ben, is from Maine. A lot of my friends that are a part of the Love for Love City Foundation. Several people that were in my home during the hurricane live in Maine. So I’ve get a special place in my heart for Bangor, Maine, and the whole state is beautiful, the coast of Maine I absolutely love.”

In the same interview, Chesney says, “playing there gives us the chance to go to Kennebunkport and spend the afternoon the day before, which I always love. I got a lot of friends there that are fishermen, or boaties or guides, whatever, that own bars there that really have a special place in my heart.”

That sentiment, on top of the “good vibe, island vibe, summertime vibe” Chesney brings to his music is what sets him over the top for Charland.

Chesney’s tractor may be sexy but the fact he mentions Maine in his song and keeps coming back to New England, even through a pandemic sets him above the rest.

“The fact that there’s all this craziness going on, that he feels comfortable coming here, it says a lot for Maine that this is the place to come, grab your mask, social distance and enjoy your summer still,” she said.

No word if Kenny Bunkport, the town’s anthropomorphic social distancing lobster mascot, was steamed not to be the only Kenny in town.

The Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery is a very picturesque Orthodox monastery of the Moscow diocese, founded in 1398 and located 2 km west of the city of Zvenigorod in Moscow Oblast , about 60 km west of Moscow .

The Zvenigorodsky tract was laid from Moscow to the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was also known as the Tsar’s Way, on which all Russian rulers made mandatory pilgrimages to the monastery. In the first half of the 20th century, this road was called Zvenigorodsky highway. Today, it is better known as Rublevo-Uspenskoe highway.

During the Soviet years, the monastery housed various institutions: military units, a sanatorium, and a museum. In 1995, the monastery was revived. Today, 30 monks and novices live here. Exhibitions of the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural, and Art Museum are also located here.

The main church of the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery is the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin, built at the beginning of the 15th century.

For an excursion to the monastery, you should dress appropriately: men should be in trousers, women in skirts, with covered shoulders and heads.

Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, Zvenigorod

The Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery is an Orthodox monastery of the Moscow Diocese. The monastery is located on the Storozha Mount, at the confluence of the Storozhka River into the Moskva River, two kilometers west of the town of Zvenigorod, Moscow Region.

Historians say that Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich gave Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery status of the first monastery of Russia, and only then the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Trinity- St. Sergius Monastery received the same status.

The monastery was founded in 1398 by monk Savva, a disciple of St. Sergius of Radonezh, at the instance and with the support of the Zvenigorod Prince Yuri Dimitrievich. At first, there was built a wooden church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For his privacy, Sawa dug a cave,  where he spent time in prayer. At first, the area of the monastery was small, but over time the number of monks increased, and the territory of the monastery increased significantly. In the XV-XVII centuries, the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery executed as a military outpost in the west of the Moscow Principality. 

The monastery was a favorite place of prayer for many Russian tsars. It was in particular visited by Ivan IV the Terrible, his wife Anastasia Romanovna, and their son Theodore Ivanovich. During the reign of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the monastery became a suburban royal residence. There were built the palace of the sovereign and the tsar’s chambers. At the same time, the monastery was surrounded by stone walls. The churches of the monastery were painted by the painters of the Kremlin Armory.

During the Patriotic War of 1812, the Russian shrines — the Vladimir and Iberian Icons of the Mother of God — were taken from the monastery for public prayer for the protection of the Russian land. The monastery, occupied by the French, was not ransacked: according to a legend, St. Savva appeared before the French commander Eugene de Beauharnais and told him not to touch the monastery.

In 1919, the monastery was closed. In 1941, during the evacuation, a unique 35-ton Great Bell pictured on the arms of Zvenigorod was destroyed. According to witnesses, the sound of the bell went even to Moscow. At the beginning of the XXI century, the bell was replaced by the equally massive one. Today the monastery numbers 50 residents. Over the last years, the iconostasis of the XVII century and frescoes were restored.

The architectural ensemble of the monastery consists of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin, the refectory complex with a belfry, the Top of the Gate Tower Church of the Trinity, Tsarina's Chambers, the Monks’ house, the residential building of religious schools, the Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the Observation deck, the Fence with towers and Cells of the XIX century. The architectural complex of the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery is typical for Russian architecture of the middle and the 2nd half of the XVII century. Remaking of the heritage of the Old Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, and Western European architecture, the emergence of new forms and effective compositions of buildings, a variety of decorative ornaments, and borrowing of techniques from folk wooden architecture are the characteristic features of Russian architecture of that time, embodied in the architecture of the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery.
